So ... who gets cut when Hankerson is called up? FWIW - Word on the twitter street is that it is NOT either Moss or A. Robinson.

Probably an end of roster safety then? |
Re: Bye Week Thread
Greg Ducre? I would guess ARob, but Keim says the Redskins wanna hang onto him. Maybe Polumbus... :Smoker:

Re: Bye Week Thread
Profootballtalk reports that free agent Terrelle Pryor worked out for the Redskins on Tuesday.
Washington is already three deep at quarterback as it heads into its bye week, so it's possible Pryor is drawing a look as a wideout. Pryor has drawn multiple workouts since his August release from the Seahawks, but has yet to land a contract. |

Its been resolved, what do you do? You reinstating this pos? I think you have to and Minny has to as well. |
Re: Bye Week Thread
Hankerson activated; Chase Minnifield cut. Just saw an alert on that.

Yeah but he copped a plea, I wouldn't be surprised if they suspended him for the rest of the year and said he can come back next year. |
Re: Bye Week Thread
BTW, Ted Bolser to Tampa's practice squad. Let's hope he didn't keep a copy of his playbook.

Terren Jones also released from the practice squad. Three spots open now... |
Re: Bye Week Thread
I suspect that they may try to put Minnifield on the PS. Still leaves a little room for an addition there.

Guess not. Crap. Chase could have been promoted to DC. |
Re: Bye Week Thread
Speaking of DC, I just learned today that Greg Manusky is the DC for the Colts. Didn't know that. Loved him as a player -- he liked to hit.

Ok, so there's two.......big deal Other than that there's really, Really nobody stupid enough to sign him |
Bye Week Thread
I had no idea he was 6-6 240. So fast too. Dang.
Edit : wikipedia lists him as 6-4 but than the article says 6-6? |
Re: Bye Week Thread
If I was Jay I would tell Has that from now on we live and die by blitz. And if he can't make adjustment at half Morris will be in charge of doing that.

Yep, for a 7th round pick which is essentially giving him away. Seattle cut for final roster cuts. I dont have a problem with a team bringing him in for training camp because you need bodies but actually signing him during the season thats just stupid especially when you consider all the other shortcomings the Skins have. |

If Jay did that, then he should just go ahead and fire him and let Morris take over for the rest of the year. |

Its not like there are 27 pro bowl tackles just sitting there. We arent missing out on the second coming of Ronnie Lott if we sign him. Why does a shortcoming at a position that cant be corrected now mean that we shouldnt sign a player at a different position if he can help us? They are working him out. If he doesnt improve the team, he doesnt get signed. If he can improve the team (which I seriously doubt he can) then he should be signed regardless of whatever other shortcoming is the flavor of the week. |

Camp bodies get signed off the street. Seattle could have done something different with that draft pick. Pryor is not the only personnel error made by Pete Carroll. In fact, if you see what Carroll has done bringing in QB's (Matt Flynn, anyone? Tarvaris Jackson?), Russell Wilson looks more like "even a blind squirrel finds a nut" luck and less like a stroke of personnel genius. |

Working someone out is often a formality. Means nothing most of the time.

I was focusing on QB's but, yup, Carroll shot himself in the foot big time with Harvin. |

De Sean Jackson clearly better than Pierre.

I disagree. Jackson takes safeties out the box. Don't want a blocking Josh Morgan want a deep threat that can actually catch and score. |

DJax has been outstanding. |
Re: Bye Week Thread

I think DJax is faster and a better route runner, but Garcon is still a threat. Its a wonder other teams haven't tried doubling Djax and thus opening up Garcon. I hate that his numbers have suffered so much. |
