Rams at Redskins pregame thread
Well the Rams are coming in hungry after dominating OAK 52-0! We r so bad right now, I just don't see us winning this game. Colt may play well again but it really doesn't matter much, he's not the answer long term so it's kinda like Grossman/Cousins playing QB over the last few years.
Rams 29 Skins 21 Honestly 4-12 is probably what we end up with |
Re: Rams at Redskins pregame thread
I think we could win this. Oakland is messier than we are (somehow). But we'll still lose.
Gonna have to contain Tre Mason though. Boy ran all over the Raiders. McCoy does well, gets no credit for doing well because he ends up being overshadowed by the defense shitting the bed. So his performance looks worse than it actually was. Redskins - 31 Rams - 37 |
Re: Rams at Redskins pregame thread
IMO Lambs give us a good game but we rise to the occasion.
Skins 31 Lambs 27 |
Re: Rams at Redskins pregame thread
I just think, "why in the hell would I watch this train wreck again" but i know I will and it makes me feel like a semi-crack head.
Rams 27 Redskins 30 Another mute job on the tv cause the rg3 trade talk will get old after the first second. |
Re: Rams at Redskins pregame thread
At home. The losses are mounting. It's a must win game, gotta believe we come out sharp and swinging. Would like to see Morris have a huge day along with garçon!
|
Re: Rams at Redskins pregame thread
Another strong showing by McCoy. People will continue to undervalue him. We lose in a shootout. 33-31
|
Re: Rams at Redskins pregame thread
Sigh -- I have no idea what team will show up (for either team actually).
My gut tells me that the Redskins play well, but come up short. Skins -- 28 Rams -- 30 And in the press conference, Gruden talks about how many of our players stepped up to "compete" and how the coaching staff needs to "coach them up" to get some wins. I make vomiting sounds at the re-hash of the overused phrases -- I don't want them to compete. Just win. And don't coach them up -- call good plays and make adjustments. Just win. PLEASE! |
Re: Rams at Redskins pregame thread
I think a fun game could be guessing which Rams player gets a new career high in something or other this Sunday. No? Okay.
My gut says we win this one, but not my brain. Rams 28, Guys that Wear the Burgundy and Gold but aren't Worthy to be Called the Redskins 17. |
Re: Rams at Redskins pregame thread
Rams defense is absolutely NO joke .... We may be in for a long day folks, but I sure hope not .
|
Re: Rams at Redskins pregame thread
Everybody is picking a high score here, so I'm going with the low. 13-10 Redskins.

It was over before it even started. Sigh, these have been a long two years. My emotional attachment to the team is the lowest it's ever been. 20 years of this shit more or less. Really tired of it. |

I think after all the coaching and personel changes in the last 20 years, its time to look at the front office and specifics within the management of the organization. Something is not right within the structure model. |
Re: Rams at Redskins pregame thread
Yeah Matt it's embarrassing being a skins fan, we r the Raiders of the east. Literally have no future plans and we never keep players around. Griffin will be gone next yr probably starting somewhere else and we'll be rolling out Colt Mccoy or some Rex grossman like journey man again. I'm basically to the point of just not even caring anymore it hit me last yr as well with the whole mike and rg3 drama. Ssdy for the redskins and won't change until DS is gone.... so y even worry about the team anymore

No Jeff, it wasn't a good deal for us at the time either.
I thought 2012 was awesome, personally. Even though we needed a late run of wins, our record wasnt that great... We had the guy who should have been rookie of the year in our backfield, and we had rookie Griffin too. Yeah rt and d still sucked, but things were looking up! |

agreed Rotten. i think we go and kick some ass on sunday. anybody want to go to the game? we could probably walk around the parking lot and trade a few beers for a few tickets. 34 to 27. |
Re: Rams at Redskins pregame thread
52-0 Skins beat the Rams. Yeah, I am so confident, I put all my money earmarked for Christmas on it. How smart am I!!!

Really tired of it.
You and I are feeling the same exact thing, Matty. And both you and I (along with a handful of others) have always been the most optimistic, always look on the bright side of things, type of fans. But I think we have discovered that even the most optimistic fan has his/her breaking point. I can already tell you that I will absolutely NOT be spending money on NFL Sunday Ticket next year. It just doesn't make any sense to spend money I really don't have on a team that wins 3 games a season. I'll find ways to catch as many games as I can, but what's the point? I would much rather have a copy of every single Redskins game from the 80's, and just watch those on Sunday as opposed to the modern version. |
Re: Rams at Redskins pregame thread
I still have Sunday ticket but u can always catch the games for free on websites so honestly I may cancel mine too, only problem is I live in Dallas market so..... I'll probably just Keep it too watch other teams play when we suck next yr.

Because outside of us getting 3 TD's on ST's , I can't see us winning 52-0 ..... maybe 44-0 :)

Rams Winners, arrow pointing up towards the end of the season...
Redskins Losers, Can't wait for the season to be over with the arrow pointing 180 degrees.... |

This year, I really don't see anything positive about this team going forward... Literally, nothing... |

I said this in another thread if things keep going this way sometime next year the Skins will have a losing regular season record for the first time since I was born. When I graduated high school the skins had plus 74 wins it is now plus 13 wins and falling fast. |
Re: Rams at Redskins pregame thread
Jeff Fishers press conference answers to don't shoot questions are badass. That dude gets a solid QB they'll play in a SB. RG better not go there. Dangerous.

Re: Rams at Redskins pregame thread
We're going to have a real tough time blocking their line. Williams is going to come off the bus blitzing.
Rams 24 Skins 13 |
Re: Rams at Redskins pregame thread
This game is impossible to predict. Rams defense will be brutal no matter what, but that offense is hot/cold I think.
Just more concerned how we look. Need to come out sharp, well prepared and highly motivated. That's enough for me, win or lose. |

Rams 24 Skins 13
cooley said colt did a really good job of recognizing and beating the blitz last week and double g may hold back some. he sd if RG3 was in there, double g would be licking his chops coming w every exotic blitz possible. |

wow! Funny how he was the future replacement for Moss a few years ago and now can't get on the field ahead of Grant or Moss. |
Re: Rams at Redskins pregame thread
Aldrick Robinson was cut. Btw.
Man, if he and Niles Paul could run routes and catch as well as they could run fast, we would have had a great WR corps even without Garcon and Jackson.

Some other moves made as well. Minnifield was placed on IR, with Miller and Kenny Okoro being brought up from the practice squad. |

Wow. There's some perspective for me today. I too can't get on board anymore, it's just too hard to watch. After seeing the great things my grandfather did here in the 80's-90's with Gibbs and the old timers turn into THIS!? It's almost personal. |
