Around the NFL Super Bowl Week
Give your predictions and game MVP.
I'm going NE 26 Seattle 23 MVP Blount - 24 carries 136 yards 2 tds |
Re: Around the NFL Super Bowl Week
Hate both of those fucking teams and their coaches, rather see Seattle win it. I do like Russell Wilson.
|
Re: Around the NFL Super Bowl Week
I'm tired of Seattle and their shit talking. I love brady but don't like anyone else on that team so I'd rather see NE but honestly idc. Only guys I like on Seattle are Wilson and lynch.
|
Re: Around the NFL Super Bowl Week
Hate both as well, but want NE to win it. Hate bandwagon shit and Seattle has got a crazy one it's building up here on the east coast. The excuse is: "Well Russell Wilson is from here! I'm a big fan of the Seahawks." So lame.

Re: Around the NFL Super Bowl Week
On the one hand, Seattle winning would even further validate Scot McCloughan
But on the other hand, I'm rooting for New England to shut everyone up who thinks they're not a legitimate team Also, I have friends in the Pats organization. Don't think I know anyone in Seattle Go Pats |

Re: Around the NFL Super Bowl Week
Anybody hear this story about the footballs being deflated?
|
Re: Around the NFL Super Bowl Week
Seattle: 48
New England: 3 |

I agree 100% with Sherman. Goodell is too weak of a leader period |
Re: Around the NFL Super Bowl Week
Go Pats, I loathe Seattle and the 3 playoff exits they've given us this past decade. Fuck them.
|
Re: Around the NFL Super Bowl Week
Deciding who to pull for in this game is like choosing between a punch in the face or a kick in the balls...

I would take the punch 7 out of 7 times |
Re: Around the NFL Super Bowl Week
Rooting for the Pats. Win or lose they already have a dynasty (no I don't care about the allegations) and I would rather see the Pats win a 4th than the Seahawks win 2 in a row.
|
Re: Around the NFL Super Bowl Week
No repeat allowed. Go Pats.
|
Re: Around the NFL Super Bowl Week
No question rooting for the Pats. The cheating stuff is a bunch of bullshit. Say what you want about BB, he's a great coach and he runs a great organization. A lot of people forget he was the defensive coordinator for some of those great Giants defenses in the 80's and early 90's. He's been around a real long time.
|
Re: Around the NFL Super Bowl Week
It will be so satisfying to see the Patriots lose a 3rd straight SB. F them.
|
Re: Around the NFL Super Bowl Week
Honestly, I don't know who to pull for. Unless it's the Redskins, I don't like to see repeat teams in the Super Bowl year in and year out. We have seen the Patriots in the Super Bowl way too many times for my liking, and I'm not a fan of the Seahawks winning back to back Super Bowls. I realize part of that is jealousy. I don't care for Pete Carroll or Richard Sherman, but I have a lot of respect for Russell Wilson, and it's hard to dislike Marshawn Lynch - that guy is an insanely good second half running back!
On the flip side, I respect Tom Brady like I did Joe Montana, but as much as I hate to admit it, Tom Brady is probably the best quarterback to ever play the game during my lifetime. And I've seen a lot of great quarterbacks in my time, which includes the likes of Bradshaw and Montana. To me, this is a perfect match up. I'm just going to enjoy the game as it is and try not to take sides. You will either see a new dynasty in the making, or a long time dynasty in its final phase of glory. |
Re: Around the NFL Super Bowl Week
I'm pulling for a huge viewership so that the slopes will be nice and clear Sunday evening! and the Pats (keep it on the East coast)

Re: Around the NFL Super Bowl Week
i really like the matchup.
has a chance to be an awesome game. nothing worse than a blow out. |

Here you are at the SB, at the top of your career, just talk and give them a few things. It's not the end of the world yet he can't do it. I really can't stand the Seahawks , Lynch, LOB, the stupid 12th man crap. I've had it with them. I hope NE beats the crap out of them and they're never heard from again. |

While other people on that team (looking at Richard Sherman) loves to talk Lynch lets his game do the talking. He doesn't need to say anything, his play on the field speaks for itself. I pulled the same approach with my coworkers a couple days ago when they were up to their usual shit-talking, instigating bs. Just told them I'm all about that action boss and stayed out of the shit. The media doesn't sign his checks and I highly doubt any NFL coach gives two shits about the quality of his players' pressers when the guy balls out on the field. Watching him makes me wish some players on our team would use his approach. He could care less how the media perceives him and I totally agree with that. |
Re: Around the NFL Super Bowl Week
Wade Phillips to Denver
|
Re: Around the NFL Super Bowl Week
I don't care if Lynch wants to talk or not, but the crotch grabbing stuff has to stop. Grow up bro.
|
Around the NFL Super Bowl Week
Lynch needs to grow up and do his job, which part of is speaking with the press and not grabbing your nuts when you score a td.
In my opinion this all comes from his contract issues with the team at the beginning of the year and articles like this one http://www.si.com/nfl/2014/10/26/marshawn-lynch-not-return-seattle-seahawks I guess he feels burned by the media in some way. Which I can kind of get. But this whole repeat the same crap over and over is lame. Just say a few words, it's not going to kill you. Instead he makes it a spectacle, I just don't get it. |

We all have to do things at our jobs that we may not like. No one says he has to talk like Sherman, but to go up at the podium and act like an idiot is just unprofessional. |
Re: Around the NFL Super Bowl Week
I tell ya the stats I have been reading regarding the Pat's fumble rate is unreal. It is almost statistically impossible. Over last 4 years in outdoor stadiums Pat fumble 1 out of 78 touches, next best team is Ravens at 58, 31st is Philly at 42 touches per fumble, and last is of course the Skins at 37 touches per fumble.
That means there is almost as much difference between 2nd and 32nd as 1st and 2nd. That is a statistical anomaly. Re: Around the NFL Super Bowl Week
I'm sick of NE and I cant stand Seattle's bandwagon fans so I'm not really into this game. That said I am going with NE. Say what you want about BB but he's a great coach who knows how to get his team to play way above their talent level.
NE 27 Seat 20 MVP=Brady |

I've REALLY got to side with my cousin here, the Super Bowl is becoming such a joke: Hater’s Guide to the Modern-Day Super Bowl (Part 1) « CBS DC
As for the actual game, I think Seattle wins, but I'd rather see NE take it for all the reasons mentioned above. As for Lynch 'not wanting to talk to the media' - I call bulls***. It really seems like the guy is trying way too hard to seem different. |

Well written article by Josh Gordan. I respect his openness on the subject.
Yeah, if nothing else I'll give him credit for how open he is in the article. Hard to have sympathy for him when he screws up that many times, but at his age he's got plenty of time left to rebound. |

Seems the NFL is trying to screw over the secondary market so they can pocket all the cash. Just going to fuck over the fans even more. Thanks Roger. |
Re: Around the NFL Super Bowl Week
Is Lynch mentally ill? He seems to have no idea how the media works. He gets pissed about being asked questions? It's really getting old.
