Re: Ryan Clark is calling it a career
lol oops I just posted that in the off-season thread. Anyway. Here's my rant in that thread (you can delete the old one)
What a stinker. And so weird he came back to ball with the Skins then retire as a Steeler. Dude, if that was the case you should've hung it up before last season. What a d*ck. |
Re: Ryan Clark is calling it a career
Well, he made his name in Pitt and won a SB.
|
Re: Ryan Clark is calling it a career
I don't fault him for that. I understand him wanting to retire there, but why not last year when it was obvious Pitt wasn't going to sign him back?
It's like if Champ came back, blew a big floppy one, then said, eh I think I'll retire now. I know I'm over thinking it, but it feels like a slap in the face. :P |
Re: Ryan Clark is calling it a career
Well he gave it a shot, was proven that playing at a high level is 100% behind him now, so, he thought it best to call it a career. I have no issue with this, thanks for giving it a shot last year.

Re: Ryan Clark is calling it a career
Well-deserved congrats on your career, Clark. Including your Super Bowl Rings.

Reminds me of Fletcher. |
Re: Ryan Clark is calling it a career
Just wished we would of resigned him instead of signing Arch-u-sum-bullsh*t.

Why? |
Re: Ryan Clark is calling it a career
This is a joke right? I could have sworn he retired BEFORE last season. He played like it.

Missed soooooo many tackles, constantly out of position in coverage, we might as well have had Dick Clark back there, would have been the same result. |
Re: Ryan Clark is calling it a career
It's funny. Redskins fans spent over half a decade lamenting the loss of Ryan Clark. He comes back and everyone is like "Get the fuck outta here!"
I had a similar experience with an ex-girlfriend I chose to get back together with once. |
Re: Ryan Clark is calling it a career
ryan clark played like a guy who no one else wanted and begrudgingly took a vet min contract before the clock struck midnight.
but farewell posts shouldnt be spent focusing on the final year of a stellar 13 year career. i think the pic below is the hit he layed on mccallister. Bon voyage good sir. I do appreciate the way he repeatedly said its on the players to make plays this past season. Vet move and mouthpiece that we didnt hear a lot of other skins saying. Even though he couldn't compete at the level we needed him to, he went out every game last year and gave max effort. He laid the wood to people, including running backs. Best of luck in his next career. |
Re: Ryan Clark is calling it a career
Gibbs should not have let him walk. I'm glad that Ryan Clark came back even if his speed and skills had eroded. He was a solid player during his career. He retired as a Pittsburgh Steeler because he has a ring with them.
