Redskins 2015 Signings (and Re-Signings) Thread
Just keeping it simple...This is not about who we should sign but who we have actually signed.
That way people can see everyone we've signed in one place instead of in various threads. As new guys get signed, just throw them on here. So far... OL Tyler Larsen OL Ty Nsekhe DE Ricky Jean-Francois T Tom Compton TE Niles Paul S Duke Ihenacho |

Didn't Chester resign with the team? Thought I saw something about that.

there was a report that Chester renegotiated his contract, however that was never confirmed by a reputable source |

Admittedly, I know nothing about Paea, but in both of the sacks shown, it is a five man rush. In the one where he sacks Cam, he blows up a RB who takes him on 1v1. In the run play, he makes a nice tackle by not stopping his pursuit but, really, was just in the right place as other forced Murray into him. Highlight reels are fine but, really would like to see how he deals with double teams or in four and three man rushes. |

More on Paul's contract...
Tom Pelissero @TomPelissero 2h2 hours ago Niles Paul's deal with #Redskins is 3 years, $6M with $2.25M guaranteed. Another $3.6M available in incentives (playing time, receptions).
|

He said he went back and watched games from the past few years to get a sense if he was playing last year for a big contract. He raves about the guy. Closed the segment saying if we had 22 guys like Paea we would win the Superbowl. |

Cooley does a pretty good film analysis on Redskin players in my humble, non-football knowing opinion. If you know of a guy that does a better job breaking down the skins on film I would love to check him out too. I cannot recall an incident where anyone, including Cooley, has attacked Griffin's work ethic. It was his on field performance he graded in his film breakdowns. As far as Griffin as a team guy, it's hard for even the biggest Griffin fan to support the post game press conferences he gave this year. Even a high school kid on the radio after a game knows it's always "ME" after a bad game and "WE" after a good game no matter who did what. That's teammate 101. |
Re: Redskins 2015 Signings (and Re-Signings) Thread
Cooley is probably right. He sounds just like the kind of player our new GM looks for.

Maybe because RG3 played like dog S. Be mad at him. |

I think it would be great if the Skins can get long term deals signed with Kerrigan and Trent W.

So it's pretty much official:
Ian Rapoport @RapSheet 5m5 minutes ago The #Redskins are signing Stephen Paea more than $5M over 4 years |

^Approve of both.

Re: Redskins 2015 Signings (and Re-Signings) Thread
Just heard on ESPN that Pot Roast (Terrance Knighton) has eliminated the Broncos and the Raiders. It came from a reporter who spoke to him personally a short while ago. Then Mark Schlereth came on and called him one of the very best run stoppers in the NFL and an underrated player.
I'm starting to feel a little tingly about this one. He would be a monster on our DL. |
Re: Redskins 2015 Signings (and Re-Signings) Thread
If we get Pot Roast then we practically have a whole new D line.
Wow....... |

As I just posted, he personally spoke to an ESPN reporter a short while ago and she said that he told her that Oakland is out, as is Denver. She said he also told her that he has directed his agent to talk to the other interested teams and try to make a deal. |
Re: Redskins 2015 Signings (and Re-Signings) Thread
We'd have one hell of a big DL at that point... I hope we get him. And yet still don't spend TOO much on him though! ... Couple of analysts think Brandon Browner could be one of our next targets
|
Re: Redskins 2015 Signings (and Re-Signings) Thread
I'm a no on Browner. I think he is overrated to begin with and how it is going down in NE raises a flag for me.
|
Re: Redskins 2015 Signings (and Re-Signings) Thread
I agree
|
Re: Redskins 2015 Signings (and Re-Signings) Thread
The Bears, Colts, and Skins are said to be the teams who are still pursuing Knighton. He said that Oakland made him an offer that he thought was too low.
Couldn't we get Browner for the sole purpose of seeing him beat up Dez Bryant twice a year? |

I thought he got released because he wouldnt accept a pay cut. He made the Pats secondary instantly better last year. He is certainly an upgrade for us and we need a corner bad. I wont be upset at all if he signs. |
Re: Redskins 2015 Signings (and Re-Signings) Thread
Browner fits SM's taste: big boy.
|
Re: Redskins 2015 Signings (and Re-Signings) Thread
Browner is going to be in the 7-9 mill a year range? Plus he's around 30 and been suspended. On top of that he gets called for PI more than any DB in the NFL. I'd say no way to him.

Re: Redskins 2015 Signings (and Re-Signings) Thread
According to Rapoport, Perrish Cox is visiting the Skins tomorrow.
