Lavar's crib in ESPN Magazine

Did anyone read the writeup on Lavar's crib in the last ESPN issue? He has 10 plasma TVs that are solely dedicated to displaying a loop of an aquarium (I think it said he had 43 flat screens total). He has over $300k invested in home electronics. I couldn't find the article online, but the magazine should still be on the shelves.

No wonder he was pissed about the $6.5 million bonus.

A fool and his money are easily parted.

I like LaVar but come on, ten screens with fish on them....

QUIT HATING!!!

If I had that much money I would have a huge safe filled with $100 bills and I would swim in them like Scrooge McDuck!

I am sick and tired of hearing about the guy's house!

Re: Lavar's crib in ESPN Magazine

not to beat a dead horse (sorry offiss)), but wouldn't it be funny if Lavar were to loop the clip of him hitting Aikman rather than a stupid aqarium. As you walk from room to room you are reminded that the dude is a beast. If you are going to have that many tv's in the house you might as well flaunt what got you those tv's.

That's odd, I searched before posting but didn't find any reference to the article in the forums. I saved it to give to a buddy of mine, but I could try to scan it in if anyone is interested. I don't think posting it here would be an option, but PM me if anyone wants it. The pages are oversized, so no promises on how it turns out.

I cant begrudge the guy. If I had the money I would probably spend it in similarly ridiculous ways.

I always found it odd that Scrooge had a butt load of coins and not a lot of dollars.

He did have dallors. He would just swim in his coins. You must keep in mind. Most of those old comics where written in the 40's and 50's. Back then you could buy a gallon of gas for like .10 cents. Coins ment a lot more back then.

Re: Lavar's crib in ESPN Magazine

i saw that article. it was fun to read but at the end they said it cost like 300 thousand dollars, i mean the guy is making 6mil+ per year 300thousand doesn't seam like a huge amount. And why do we need real fish if we can have them just swimming around on our TVs

I made an aquarium out of MY television. I'm just like LaVar.

Oh wait, it has real fish in it. ;)

Oh, I never read the comics. I just remember Ducktales. That was at least in the 1980s, the man should have been smoking cigars rolled in 100s. :)

Haha! Thanks dude... Oh, if only I was on cribs...

"We are now going to the crib of Ben aka "TheMalcolmConnection...

Ben: So this is my bed and where the magic happens. This is also the bed that takes up a quarter of the space in my studio apartment. Now if you'll turn around, you'll notice my balcony. That's where I have my LaVar fish television.
Cribs: So let's see the cars...
Ben: Well, I have my Mazda3 that I spent a ridiculous amount of my unprofessional sports player paycheck on... oh, and some Hot Wheelz. Zoom zoom indeed."

By the way, Paintrain- who's hating? Read my post again, it starts "I LIKE LAVAR" and I do. Just hink it's a bit silly, 10 screens with fish. That's a;;. Silly, amusing... funny.

Not everyone here hates LaVar, that's why I have a number 56 jersey in my closet!

Duck Tales was from the 80's. But it was based on the old Doanld Duck Disney comic books from the 40's & 50's. They really didn't change a thing but the stories.
