Too bad he won't be in Richmond later this week. Would have been a nice test for our new front 7. |

I'm curious to see how this plays out. I feel like NFL players should be professional enough to recognize the line between hot chick/coach, but the real story is: Can a chick come in and make an impact coaching a group of men, or will this be Ines Sainz 2.0? |

His opinion is that (1) she is a position coach so they have to listen in some respect; and (2) if she can talk football and technique, guys will listen. he compared it to when a 26 year old Sean Mcvay was named his TE coach. he said mcvay could talk football with the best of them, super smart and that was all Cooley cared about. i keep hearing these huge compliments re mcvay, from all types of people. seems like we got ourselves a savant on our hands. I've heard a number of media folks saying the same thing (ESPN's Robert Flores and Matt Williamson; and Ross Tucker). |

Hell the Redskins announce they are bringing in Aldon Smith in 3...2..1. We just signed Junior so why not Smith?:laughing- |
Re: NFL Training Camp thread!
If I was making the kind of money Aldon Smith was and liked to drink 24-7 I would hire myself a permanent designated driver. He could afford to have a limousine take him wherever he wanted and wait outside for him. Getting an 8 game suspension wasn't enough for him to wise up. Pretty sad case.

6m give or take is a pretty hefty......bar tab, Aldon

Re: NFL Training Camp thread!
Going to be a long year for the 49ers. Imagine having plopped down all that cash for those seat licenses for the new stadium only to have your team suck balls....lol

A touching speech by his daughter. I think it's really stupid the HoF doesn't allow others to give a speech for deceased individuals. It's a useless policy. |

Re: NFL Training Camp thread!
Rumor out that Geno Smith "sucker punched" by camp talent and will be out like 6 weeks with broken jaw........
And naturally camp guy is available as of that moment. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/jets-geno-smith-6-10-weeks-punched-teammate-173800088--nfl.html;_ylt=A0LEVvGIM8pVDzEAAj8nnIlQ;_ylu=X3oDMTByMjB0aG5zBGNvbG8DYmYxBHBvcwMxBHZ0aWQDBHNlYwNzYw-- |
Re: NFL Training Camp thread!
Jets having some bad luck. However, as bad as Geno is, this might be a blessing in disguise.
On another note, the teams with the most arrests the past 5 years. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/which-nfl-team-has-had-the-most-arrests-over-the-last-five-years-133357974.html |

Re: NFL Training Camp thread!
sucker punching is such horse crap. look the person in the eyes and handle it like a man.
''It had nothing to do with football,'' Bowles said. ''It was something very childish, and he got cold-cocked, sucker-punched - whatever you want to call it - in the jaw.'' Bowles wouldn't go into detail about the nature of the altercation, except to say: ''It was something very childish, that sixth-graders could have talked about. It had no reason for happening.'' |
Re: NFL Training Camp thread!
Hopefully nobody picks up the kid that hit Geno. Let him sit out at least a year. Gotta think the league will suspend him too.

If this was a good player the Jets wouldn't have cut him. A la Michael Westbrook. |
Re: NFL Training Camp thread!
I think the story behind the punch is this:
At the heart of the dispute between former Jets LB IK Enemkpali and quarterback Geno Smith is $600 that Enemkpali believed Smith owed him, per league sources. Enemkpali purchased a plane ticket for Smith to attend his July 11 football camp at Pfugerville High School in Pfugerville, Texas. However, days before the camp, a person close to Smith was killed in a motorcycle accident in Miami and Smith did not attend Enemkpali’s camp, per sources. After Smith did not attend, Enemkpali demanded that the Jets’ quarterback refund him the $600 he allegedly used to purchase a plane ticket. Smith told Enemkpali he would reimburse him the money, but he did not. Enkempali confronted Smith today about the money and the confrontation ended in a punch and broken jaw.
Darrelle Revis holds them both accountable. So it looks like Geno isn't purely innocent here.(even though not deserving of a punch to the face) https://twitter.com/NFL/status/631211727640731653 I think this says a lot about what the teammates think of Geno. Could you imagine somebody popping Brady, Rodgers or Manning in the jaw? I don't think they'd be in that situation to be honest with you.
Hopefully nobody picks up the kid that hit Geno. Let him sit out at least a year. Gotta think the league will suspend him too.
I doubt the League will interfere with this. I'm sure stuff like this happens a bit (minus the fractured jaw though). |

What NFL have you been watching since Goodell took over? lol This has personal conduct policy written all over it. |
Re: NFL Training Camp thread!
I would have to think that maybe the guy who punched Geno is probably done in the NFL, talented or not. It was on a story earlier today that he was arrested also during college for punching an off-duty police officer - probably the only thing that kept him from going to jail.
I guess NFL teams are never going to learn. They keep signing these players who are criminals / have legal issues, etc... Hard to see another team signing that guy after that although I could be wrong. I like the mention of what would happen if someone punched Manning / Rogers / Brady etc.. Like someone else said i don't see those QB's putting themselves in a position like that.... |
