It's REALLY here: PreSeason PostRG3 Prediction Poll
I started the last one, and I want a do over. Lock it if you must but since SS is taking a break maybe I can sneak this one past Matty :D
Any way, Not sure how much the QB situation changes people's outlook, but I think it boosts the team by 2 wins atleast, simply by removing distractions and getting the team going forward. So, no brownies this time, simply pick your number. And gloat if your's stayed the same, because you knew this was going to go down like this. |
Re: It's REALLY here: PreSeason PostRG3 Prediction Poll
gloating.........
But take solace in the knowledge, it.....shames me to do so. |
Re: It's REALLY here: PreSeason PostRG3 Prediction Poll
3-13
|
Re: It's REALLY here: PreSeason PostRG3 Prediction Poll
7 wins. Our run game and pass D are question marks for me.
I just dont know how to evaluate the D. Seemed very vanilla this preseason. |
It's REALLY here: PreSeason PostRG3 Prediction Poll
I had cousins starting by week 3 and team 6-10 or 7-9. Still see it that way.
Maybe with cousins starting from week 1, they pick up an extra game. Best case scenario 8-8 IMO |

Re: It's REALLY here: PreSeason PostRG3 Prediction Poll
I didn't change my opinion. This team has more problems than just QB.
Can we get a poll on how many interceptions we'll have this year? |
Re: It's REALLY here: PreSeason PostRG3 Prediction Poll
I still say playoffs!!
|
Re: It's REALLY here: PreSeason PostRG3 Prediction Poll
I think if KC knows he's the starter and doesnt have to worry about having the job yanked out from him for RG3 he will be able to relax and perform. The O will be fine but again I think the D is the weak point. This team gets 6 or 7 wins.
|
Re: It's REALLY here: PreSeason PostRG3 Prediction Poll
Maybe I'm the only one, but I moved to the 8-9 wins. Personally, moving on from RG3 gives this team a push in the right direction even greater than just the improved qb play. No need to hold back or be working two or 3 different scenarios. Now will KC make his mistakes, and cost us some games, probably but I think the team will just have a more positive direction, even more so if Griffin is cut.
And I'm not hating on Griffin, just think at this point the distraction/poor on field performance, cost the team a lot in the intangible department. |
Re: It's REALLY here: PreSeason PostRG3 Prediction Poll
There were many things wrong with Robert's performance this year in the pre....But the change in the offense from RG to KC was......remarkable
Robert----Offensive switch off Kirk-------Offensive switch on Huge difference immediately when KC came in |
Re: It's REALLY here: PreSeason PostRG3 Prediction Poll
I think this is a 4-7 Win team.
Too many questions on defense and special teams. I think we will be able to put up 21Pts a game but I don't think we solved our problems on special teams and with the pass rush. |
Re: It's REALLY here: PreSeason PostRG3 Prediction Poll
Gonna say 8-8.
Gruden eeks out a .500 season. People forget that everyone wanted his head on a stake for benching RG3. |
Re: It's REALLY here: PreSeason PostRG3 Prediction Poll
I'm sippin' the koolaid for now, the change at qb has me slightly more optimistic for a better season. If Kirk is the qb we apparently all think he is capable of being, I think we'll be around .500 (just because we still have more room for improvement talent wise). If Kirk is still "throw 1 pick and lose his mind" then we will have a much worse record, and also have a hole at qb for 2016.
|
Re: It's REALLY here: PreSeason PostRG3 Prediction Poll
7-9
O-Line will benefit greatly from having Kirk under center. Interesting to see how Matt Jones does in this offense. He could be a real difference maker. |

I think it'll make OTHER people injury prone. :D |
Re: It's REALLY here: PreSeason PostRG3 Prediction Poll
I moved my prediction up one notch. I'm hoping we can get to 8-8. I'm less concerned about the QB position now but we still have a ways to go with our secondary and ST, in particular. For me, 8-8 would be fine as we continue to build.
|
Re: It's REALLY here: PreSeason PostRG3 Prediction Poll
The Skin's secondary have to be worth 2-3 loses. An average secondary would have me feeling good about this year, but they might be as bad as the NFL as to offer.
|
Re: It's REALLY here: PreSeason PostRG3 Prediction Poll
I'm in-between 7-9 and 9-7. I think 9-7 is the absolute best case scenario, but 7-9 is more feasible. I'm still not sold on special teams and the defense. This 7-9 could go worse depending on injuries as well.
|
Re: It's REALLY here: PreSeason PostRG3 Prediction Poll
I am not moving my prediction of 5 wins until I see Captain Kirk actually win in the NFL. So far he hasn't done so. 1-7 with a worse turn over ratio than rg III and a horrible QBR.
I am not drinking the kool-aid this year. Until this team actually shows me something other than a perennial loser I will abstain. I wasn't drinking the kook-aid with RG III either. None of our QBs are winners now. |
Re: It's REALLY here: PreSeason PostRG3 Prediction Poll
Kirk earned the job, so I applaud this move. But I can't get terribly excited until I see a more controlled turnover rate.
7-9 is the ceiling until Kirk proves me wrong |
gloating.........

Edit: although i will say i think we tried to solve them but injuries set us back again. Kind of hard to plan for losing your best pass rusher n two best special teams guys. |
Re: It's REALLY here: PreSeason PostRG3 Prediction Poll
Too many holes to get above 4-7 wins. 7 would be a great year, IMO. This is McC year one. Lots to do yet. 6-10 is more realistic.

Not sure if this has been posted somewhere else, but parts of it were pretty funny (although the overall message isn't so happy for Skins fans): The Swamp: The State of the NFL in Washington, D.C. «

Enjoy, take it for what it is
Idiot fodder...... |
Re: It's REALLY here: PreSeason PostRG3 Prediction Poll
Still 4-7. but more competitive, and much less drama.
|
Still 4-7. but more competitive, and much less drama.
I'll take it if they do in fact follow through on their bitch to play against/competitive mantra. Past few years have been embarrassing. Not just losses, but lack of compete level was disgusting. |
Re: It's REALLY here: PreSeason PostRG3 Prediction Poll
Still 4-7. but more competitive, and much less drama.
Winning makes drama ok. Just ask Patriot fans. Lol. Now that KC is our appointed starter and he has a couple weeks before the season starts I feel myself wanting to sip the kool aid. Last week i would not of thought it completely out of the realm of possibilities that we might not win a single game. Suddenly i find myself thinking like a complete idiot and wondering things like "why cant this team make the playoffs" and " hey anything can happen if you get in " and "i wonder if i will have enough vacation time to get to the parade?" All of these idiotic things i am thinking arent just because of KC - as I really cant get away from the idea that we still do not have a QB, but I just feel like as a team we are going to rally around him and understand that we need to come together and play as a team. An idea that seems to go by the wayside when Griff is under center. |
Re: It's REALLY here: PreSeason PostRG3 Prediction Poll
Because it appeared the Redskins did great in free agency that combined in some blind faith that Griffin had improved, because that $16 mil option was picked up I was thinking 9-7. Then RG3 looked like a deer in the headlights, Galette and a few others are lost for the season, Goldson appears to have lost a step (he could not afford to) and Culliver was getting beat and committing penalties. Then I am like, "4-12 here we go again."
Fast forward to the present I still believe there will be defense and special team issues, but the running game looks solid, Captain Kirk appears to be improved and it looks like we won't be playing revolving QBs, I will go back up to 7-9. |
Re: It's REALLY here: PreSeason PostRG3 Prediction Poll
i moved it up one win, from 6 to 7.
|
Re: It's REALLY here: PreSeason PostRG3 Prediction Poll
SM said there's no reason we can't win now, I believe Cousins did a lot of work on improving his game in the off-season and it will show, I think this defense will put more pressure on the QB, the offensive line will jell and we'll run the hell out of the ball and see some great play action with an improved receiving corps. Morris, Jones and Thompson will have some lanes to run through....WTF, 10-6 playoffs. B&G koolaide is my favorite.
|
Re: It's REALLY here: PreSeason PostRG3 Prediction Poll
OK, I'm trying the optimistic approach this year.
I added 4 more wins (2 for the QB switch & 2 for the way the team hung tough after a terrible start in Baltimore)...predicting a 10-win season. We have a great o-line coach and the o-line will only get better. The D-line is stoudt and if Chris Baker is a back-up, then you've got a pretty good line. LB's look pretty solid (how about Jeffcoat lately!). I'm reserved to the fact that we'll give up lots of passing yards, but hopeful we can keep the big plays to a minimum & get some opportunistic turn overs. There is still some work to do on ST's, but that can be fixed and no team is perfect. |
Re: It's REALLY here: PreSeason PostRG3 Prediction Poll
I still think best case 7 wins. KC has a lot to prove.
|
Re: It's REALLY here: PreSeason PostRG3 Prediction Poll
I think most importantly there won't be those games where we are expecting the Skins to have no chance of winning. If Kirk throws his A game and the defense gets a few breaks there aren't any unbeatable opponents.
Last year Sunday would roll around and I would be thinking "Do I really want to watch the Skins get creamed again?" |
Re: It's REALLY here: PreSeason PostRG3 Prediction Poll
6-7. I was against the JG signing at first. But him getting hurt really hurts the defense. We need a pass rush in the worst way and w/out one I'm not sure those guys in the back end can hold up. We may see a lot of 35-31 type games.

That was with a revolving door at QB and imo a lesser talent pool on the roster. Thats the optimistic me. The pessimistic me thinks I say the same thing every year. |
