Around the Nfl week 1
It's finally here folks! Lets enjoy this 2015 season and hopefully the skins will compete all the way..
Pitt vs NE, anyone going with me and picking the steelers? I got a feeling they take this one. Raiders in the upset over CIN, watch out for Oakland yes I am sober, they are coming up. Dallas over NY? I hope not but I say Romo lights that weak d up. |
Re: Around the Nfl week 1
Steelers, packers, texans, jets, colts, redskins, Seahawks, cards, chargers, bucs, raiders, ravens, cowboys, eagles and Vikings
|
Re: Around the Nfl week 1
I was going to pick SF but I just dont see how they will score much this yr
|
Re: Around the Nfl week 1
Redskins and Raiders are my sleeper teams. Jack Del Rio has changed that teams attitude and will compete.

I have the raiders in the thick of that division race. I could honestly say I could see any of the 4 winning. I was perusing the ravens board to get a feel for their reactions to MMQB picking them to SB and I was amazed to see that a couple of folks were scared of the chargers. Thought that was interesting...in addition to "broncos don't scare" type comments |
Re: Around the Nfl week 1
When is this concussion evaluation going to take place....
Lets get a trade done! |

Lets get a trade done!
I feel like they've been dragging their feet. It's almost been a week (or maybe over a week?) since the last one was done. Come on yo, even if we don't trade him, let's get some information on that noggin. |
Re: Around the Nfl week 1
I dont see y they wont trade him but its the redskins so....
Yeah I love what Oak is doing, watch out for L.Murray he could have a big yr at RB |
Re: Around the Nfl week 1
When is this concussion evaluation going to take place....
Lets get a trade done!
per rotoworld:
Redskins coach Jay Gruden said the team kept Robert Griffin III (concussion) "because we thought he was one of our top 53 guys." "We don't feel like he's a distraction at all," Gruden insisted. "You can never have too many quarterbacks in your building." You can if none of the quarterbacks are particularly good. Griffin will visit an independent neurologist Tuesday. If he is cleared, the Redskins will have to decide where he fits on the Week 1 depth chart. We suspect he'll be Washington's No. 3. Sep 7 - 11:02 AM
|

Was looking forward to an actual football thread and it quickly becomes an RG3 thread.

lol I noticed how every thread slowly turns into RG3. I'm pretty sure if we started a thread on Hooters and a combustion engine it'd somehow end up talking about RG3. |

Speaking of things I hate, I'm considering skipping the Thursday game to avoid the Brady orgy/fest the media will have prior and during the game. |

In "other" NFL news.....looks like Kam is still holding out.

Everybody sign up for this years Football Pick'em. Thanks to DR for starting the group. |
Re: Around the Nfl week 1
RG3, when all is said and done, will still be spoken with the reverence and "coulda woulda shoulda" as Patrick Ramsey did.

Re: Around the Nfl week 1
Speaking of the Brady orgy-fest, this article made me LOL:
"A judge threw out the Tom Brady Deflate Gate case because Tom Brady is too white and good looking to be punished. Also because the judge noted that under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, it’s unfair to punish Brady for cheating because the NFL lets guys cheat all the time so nobody expects to be busted. You can’t be punished for smashing your cell phones and destroying evidence because the NFL has never punished a player for obstructing an investigation before. In short, because you were a crappy permissive parent for so long, you can’t do squat about your teen daughter pounding Four Loko and fucking the entire varsity front line. Seems fair enough. Patriots fans will see this as a common sense legal ruling. The remainder will see this as hated pretty boy sliding on a insidious felony he clearly committed. Everybody will continue to wonder how Roger Goodell gets paid $40 million to be such a failed Commissioner. Mostly it’s just time to start the season. Nobody lives past fifty in the NFL. This shit all takes care of itself." |
Re: Around the Nfl week 1
yes! its finally here...excited. Sux I hate both these teams, but Im hoping the Steelers put a ass whooping on these Pats
Where the hell is Lotus? I bet he hanging out in that cave with Smoot. |
Re: Around the Nfl week 1
CHRIS CULLIVER GETS PROBATION
The Washington CB pleaded guilty to a pair of misdemeanors in June. He fled the scene after he hit a bicyclist and threatened a citizen with brass knuckles in California in March 2014. Culliver signed a 4-year deal worth up to $32 million with the Redskins in March. -------------------------- good news. what little I saw of culliver, I really liked. he plays like a baller and may end up being out of position a few times but i think he is a huge upgrade. but the physical way he plays, i dont think he will last the season. culliver is my prediction for best off season addition. |

@AdamSchefter Bills signed Marcel Dareus to a six-year, $108 million extension, per source. 60mil guaranteed I believe. Had I been a GM, I think it would have went down like this after his agent proposed this. [YT]-K7fCQlUhj0[/YT] |

No team is going to set a precedent of redoing a 4 year contract after only 1 year. Does he expect a signing bonus every year? Does he not understand the concept of a contract? |

Re: Around the Nfl week 1
Can't wait for Brady to retire so these smug asshole fans will go back into obscurity again like before.
|
Re: Around the Nfl week 1
Quite possibly the douchest opening to a game I've seen. What a wack ass song to raise the flag too.
|
Re: Around the Nfl week 1
All they do is win. And cheat.

Hell, the Steelers headsets are mysteriously playing the Patriots radio broadcast...lol What is it with these fucking guys. |
Re: Around the Nfl week 1
Terrible job by the Pittsburg secondary...horrible tackling against gronk
|
Re: Around the Nfl week 1
Looks like Scobee is going to be the first guy cut in the regular season...lol Dude is 0-2 on FGs so far.
|
Re: Around the Nfl week 1
bad tackling in general.......
|
Re: Around the Nfl week 1
Not sure why they got rid of Dick Lebeau for. This defense looks unorganized. 10 men on the field. Gronk with 2 TDs already...
|
Re: Around the Nfl week 1
Usually I like to listen to ESPN radio at work, but I won't tomorrow. That place is already heavily slanted towards New England, tomorrow it will be sickening.
|
Re: Around the Nfl week 1
I think Pittsburgh has outplayed them, but it hasn't translated into points. They keep shooting themselves in the foot. They should stick to the run (averaging 5.6 ypc), but Haley is trying to get cut and outsmart them. It's costing them on the conversions, and that first drive it killed it with that trick play bullshit. Their defense is bad though.

Re: Around the Nfl week 1
It's like Haslett's D, no adjustment on Edelman.
|
Re: Around the Nfl week 1
How does Haslett still have a job wow

He doesn't as a coach. He does as a consultant for PSU. |
Re: Around the Nfl week 1
O ok
|
Re: Around the Nfl week 1
Sorry but I would not have A brown returning punts
|
Re: Around the Nfl week 1
Gronkowski is beating the hell out of the Steelers.. Where do we get one of those?
|
Gronkowski is beating the hell out of the Steelers.. Where do we get one of those?
It's not that he's just making great plays on good defense. They are leaving him wide the fuck open. Not a single guy guarding him. At what point do you say....ummm....let's guard this guy?? Steelers defense is bad. So is the Patriots D as well. |

True, the Steelers have been running the ball all over the place.. But they did put 2 hats on him at one point and still didn't work. 3 on 1? |
