Funniest Bad Movies?

Dolemite and Robo Vampires.

If you have not seen either of them, they are worth the 5 bucks you can find the DVDs for on ebay.

Re: Funniest Bad Movies?

Hell, if you paid me shipping, I'd burn you a copy of Robo Vampires and mail it to you. I would be worried about copyright infringement, but I don't think that the Robo Vampires will get me.

Actually, check out that website. You'll be DYING to see the movie after that. I've never laughed so hard in my life.

Favorite quote at the bottom:

"Since Tom is dead I want to make use of his body to create an android like robot. Mr. Glen I would appreciate your approving my application."
"Are you assured of success?"
"Mmmmhmmmmmm"
Alright, your application's approved."

I love this movie! Kinda cool seeing "The Beast" in a French movie... Kinda had that "Brazil" feel. In fact, I like all of Gilliam's movies (12 monkeys, Fear and Loathing, Monty Python, Time Bandits, Baron).

The weirder, the better i say!

Re: Funniest Bad Movies?

Run Ronnie Run
(you can order the full frame at walmart.com for 5.89, but widescreen costs 16.86, or use a pick on Netflix)

this movie is incredibly stupid, but incredibly hilarious. it stars David Cross and Bob Odenkirk, and is about a redneck that tends to have many run-ins with the law. you'll laugh til you pee yourself silly, and laugh again. a buttload of cameos as well.

TheMalcolmConnection 05-26-2005 01:00 PM

Re: Funniest Bad Movies?

Sweet. I have Netflix. I'll rent it with my next pick and get back to you.

Anyone, is Netflix any good? Pluses? Drawbacks?

TheMalcolmConnection 05-27-2005 08:45 AM

Re: Funniest Bad Movies?

Netflix is great (especially if you have a DVD burner, so you can rent, burn and send back in one day). Typically, I can turn around about 20-30 DVDs in one month. So for 18 bucks, I have 20-30 new DVDs to watch at any given time.

That Guy 05-27-2005 12:02 PM

Re: Funniest Bad Movies?

netflix is really the way to go if you watch a lot of movies... walmart handed over their rental business to netflix... that's 100k customers... its weird when walmart decides not to compete ;)

Re: Funniest Bad Movies?

Yeah, SOMEBODY has cornered the market. I'd do the Blockbuster thing if they had more of a selection.

I know it's crazy to say, but my Blockbuster doens't carry Simpsons seasons.

itvnetop 05-27-2005 10:21 PM

Re: Funniest Bad Movies?

i go with netflix just b/c they seem to carry the more obscure titles that i seek. blockbuster won't carry certain titles if they deem the movie "unsuitable" for their reputation.

plus netflix has a great international selection as well.

TMC, did you ever watch Run Ronnie Run?

TheMalcolmConnection 06-10-2005 11:00 AM

Re: Funniest Bad Movies?

Not yet. Netflix lost my movies for about 2 weeks so I'm waiting. It's on my next shipment though!
