Fine with me, he'll be stuck behind Romo for at least two more seasons.

The only way we'd face the Vikes or Seahawks is if we make the NFC championship game.

Most bettors don't know what we know; that is, the Redskins are going to CRUSH Green Bay! We'll get out front early and keep the pedal to the metal. Score at Halftime: Redskins 21, Green Bay 3. Final Score: Redskins 34, Green Bay 13.

It has always been that way. Even when the Skins were winning Super Bowls, the national media consistently picked our opponents to win. We get no respect.

"No respect, I tell ya! My wife sent me out to buy a dozen condoms. When I got back, she took four of them and went out!"

One time, the national media nearly unanimously picked the Bears, with Doug Flutie at QB, to beat us in a playoff game. No way was Doug Flutie going to beat the Redskins! The Skins simply put eight men in the box, daring Doug to beat us by passing. Of course, he couldn't do it and we beat them handily.

BTW, I suppose that these prognosticators who were mentioned in the article haven't noticed that we're undefeated at home this season despite our supposedly lukewarm fans. Well, the fans will come through in this game. You can count on it!

I agree with your sentiment, but we're 6-2 at home this year.
We're undefeated, if you don't count the Miami and Dall-ass games.

But, I think your point is valid...we've proved to be a tough opponent, but we're especially dangerous at home.

I think the playoffs won't have the top seeds make it like the last couple seasons. Denver is good but manning just doesnt play well in the playoffs for some reason. Carolina is inexperienced and that makes a difference

Re: Wilcard/Playoffs weekend

It's one thing to pick Green Bay, but the arguments made in that article are obviously coming from someone who doesn't watch much of the 'Skins.....

"You keep waiting for the bad Cousins to show up; turnover traits are in play" Oh really? I was one of Kirk's biggest critics early in the season because of his turnovers, but those "turnover traits" have all but gone away. It doesn't mean he will never throw a pick again, and if we were playing Seattle, a team I'd expect to produce a lot tighter coverage and perhaps be able to disguise their defense a lot better then yeah I could understand those comments, but what leads "experts" to think Kirk will be a turnover machine against this Packers defense?

I think when it comes down to it, a lot of these analysts are just defaulting to Aaron Rodgers in the Wildcard game as being reason enough to pick the packers. They think Aaron Rodgers alone can make up for the rest of the Packers's deficiencies regardless of how any of the other matchups go.

In a QB league, most will do that. I assume just about every pundit will pick GB just because of Rodgers. But we are good at home and GB is struggling right now. Their OL and receivers are not what they have had in the past so I dont think it will be as easy as a lot think it will. Their defense has a good pass rush but not much else. If our OL can keep KC clean, I think we have a good chance of extending our season.

People can rationalize anything. No one ever thinks they are the bad guy.

Yeah, my wife reminded me of that fact earlier. As much as I tried to forget those losses, I have to admit the truth. As you said, the point is we're good at home.

980 ESPN was interviewing Billy Kilmer today on the 72' Skins/boys NFC Championship game. Billy was knocked smooth out and had to be carried to the bench where he was revived with Smelling Salts. Sam Wyche was warming up behind the bench when Billy regained conscious. Ritchie Pettibon said "Billy, can you go back in? Wyche is warming up and has already thrown 2 int's!"
Billy went back in next play (did not miss a play) and with Larry Brown, went on to kick Dallas' Ass.
Wow, I guess smelling salts was the concussion protocol........

It seems like more experts are starting to pick the 'Skins, it's good to see them getting respect but then also it invites in the expectations.

They can do this though!

gibbs has talked about it, back in the day, if you got knocked out/concussed, they'd just kind of laugh at you and tell you to get back in the game, and that was a pretty normal thing.

Good read by Glover Quin about what safeties do pre-snap. It also gives me a lot less confidence in our secondary if Goldson/Hall are too injured to play this week.
