Davis is back...hopefully Chris Baker and Cousins are next |
Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings
Good to hear. He did a good job getting back on track last year. 3 years sounds about right, you figure 2 solid and one option. puts him around 36 at the end

Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings
Yea...something positive.
I like this guy! |

Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings
Thompson and Compton have been tendered.

Per ESPN...
Garcon to sf. He will get 16M in the first yr. Good luck PG we'll miss ya Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk |
Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings
Congrats to Garçon, one of the better free agent signings we've made.

Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings
Right now, Garcon will be the highest paid WR next year only behind Dez. 16 mill.
You could have bought 2 1/2 Brandon Marshalls with that. |

I love PG as much as anyone, but not 16mm per which is what was reported. |

Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings
16 million in the first year, not per year.
It's still going to be more than we should pay. Doctson needs to be given room to prove himself. Our spending money belongs in the defense. |
Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings
Good for Garcon, glad we didn't pay that though.

No doubt, he has earned his $ |

Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings
The one thing I'm worried about replacing with Garcon leaving: those tough ass first down catches. Crowder is tough, but still small. Unless Docston is high-pointing those catches, I worry we don't have someone physical enough to be that guy (maybe Reed?).

If they failed to match an offer for Thompson, they would receive a second-round pick as compensation. If they failed to match for Compton, they would receive no compensation. The original round tender goes back to where a player was drafted; Compton was an undrafted free agent. Very interesting with Wil Compton. |

Absolutely! Garcon was the go to guy this year. Biggest reason why the 'skins kept so many drives going. He was clutch. I'm going to miss him in a Redskins uniform. |
Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings
Him and Hoyer will make a great combo.......

Yup, exactly. Not sure we have that clutch guy on the roster right now. Loved how physical he was, but I can't blame him for taking 16 mil in San Fran. |

I think Reed and Crowder made a ton of clutch catches. I'm not minimizing Garcon, just saying last season we had alot of options. This year there will be options, some untested though. Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk |
Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings
I'm POSITIVE Reed has the ability to do it... I just worry about availability.
You're right about Crowder. I did forget that in addition to being a tough lil' SOB, he was slippery as hell. I haven't seen someone take that many bubble screens for a first down in a long ass time. |
Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings
Reed needs to stay healthy! He sustains multiple concussions next season he will be toast.

Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings
Maurice Harris and this kid Thompson at WR might not be bad options to go with Crowder Doctson and Grant/player to be named later. I'm not freaking out. Now if Kirk leaves and we don't do shit on defense then fuck it we suck

And in non-front office doom news, looks like the team is making a push to keep DJax.

Plus the Skins just lost out to the Jaguars for Calais Campbell which may have freed up some FA dollars they had planned to spend on the DL. |
