Redskins vs Chiefs Pregame Thread

Id say overall we are grinding out yards, but Perine and Kelly are extremely similar backs....Mack Brown offers more of a burst. As for the Chiefs we got our hands full on both sides of the ball. Our Oline has to bring they're A game. Defensively I think we can match up but our primary focus should be on stopping Cunt, my bad, I mean Hunt. Tough spot to play on a Monday Night. KC 26 Redskins 17 |

Efff it!
Redskins 31 Chiefs 8 ___________ Final |
Re: Redskins vs Chiefs Pregame Thread
I don't think the Chiefs have played a really good defense. I know the Eagles looked tough against the Redskins, but we lost because of our mistakes. Also I don't believe in their Defense. It is going to be tough going into Arrowhead on Monday night, but with the Redskins defense playing like they are I give us a chance to win.

Re: Redskins vs Chiefs Pregame Thread
Skins should be 3-0 as well, too many week 1 mistakes killed us. KC is really good but they won't go undefeated.
Skins by 4 |
Re: Redskins vs Chiefs Pregame Thread
I can't see how KC pulls this off, my only fear is this may be a trap game for us.
Assuming we don't play to KC's level we win 35 to 7. Don't even ask me how KC gets a TD I am just throwing them some symptom. HTTR! |

Re: Redskins vs Chiefs Pregame Thread
This team has improved every game...I like the momentum we have building. I don't think we will be intimidated when we take the field

KC is a solid team and very tough at home. I just hope the Skins don't have a let-down after their great performance on Sunday. |
Re: Redskins vs Chiefs Pregame Thread
We have improved, in this particular game i think it will rely heavily on the game plan, and in game adjustments which Andy is one of the best at. This is gonna have to be a coaches win IMO.. I think we can try to dominate the LOS and sloe down the run game and the short lateral game they plan.... we need the safety play to stay on par, and control the middle of the field. I do kinda still think we lack a real, consistent pass rush which definitely is a concern. So im not really sure how this shakes out, hope for the best... but i will be preparing for the worst lol.

Re: Redskins vs Chiefs Pregame Thread
KC and Alex Smith look great this year, they have a young stud at RB and a solid D. It will be a very tough game, if they play like Monday night, skins win.

Re: Redskins vs Chiefs Pregame Thread
Andy Reid always gave us fits in Philly.
The matchup is tough. Our secondary is playing really well, but the Chiefs don't win with stellar WR play. We have to match up against both Kelce and Hunt, which is tough enough to handle one at a time with an athletic LB or safety, but both is brutal. Still though we're playing really well and I bet we acquit ourselves here. If this thing were in Fed Ex I might be tempted, but Arrowhead is a factor. Comes down to the wire but: KC 23 Redskins 20 |

Re: Redskins vs Chiefs Pregame Thread
It's going to be extremely tough to duplicate that performance on Sunday night, which is probably what it will take to beat the Chiefs at Arrowhead on Monday night. I'm not saying they can't do it...hell I didn't think they would do what they did to the Raiders, so the possibility is there. If the D can keep Hareem Kunt and Tyreek Hill in check, and limit Alex Smith's scramble ability, then I say it's a W. If not, or if they lose the turnover battle, then it's 2-2 going into the bye.

Re: Redskins vs Chiefs Pregame Thread
I had us winning against Oakland and losing to KC. I am going to stay with that. I do think the Skins could win, but I expect KC will be well prepared on their home turf.
Chiefs 28 Skins 23 (How did the media let two racist named teams show up against each other, I bet HUGE protests are televised) |
Re: Redskins vs Chiefs Pregame Thread
4 wins still looks impossible, we lose 72-0
|
Re: Redskins vs Chiefs Pregame Thread
lost any chance we had of sneaking up on the chiefs by smacking around the raiders.i think we lose badly,35 to 14 or worse.
|
Re: Redskins vs Chiefs Pregame Thread
Tough matchup, I think Reid will pick on our LBs in the passing game.
Our secondary can keep Hill and Conley on check, but Brown and Foster/Spaight cover Kelce ? Not sure about that. If we do pull this one off that's a huge statement. I think our offense will do just fine, last week was a big confidence builder for Kirk and the O. Big question is will the D be able to shut Hunt down the way they shut Lynch down? If they do, I'll go ahead and say Skins 31 Chiefs 24 !!! |
Re: Redskins vs Chiefs Pregame Thread
Chiefs 61 skins 3 cousins throws 7 interceptions and we fumble 5 times and give up 12 sacks only bright spot we kick a 6 yard field goal with 2 seconds left ......
|
Re: Redskins vs Chiefs Pregame Thread
Chiefs line is way worse than the Raiders. I don’t think we give Smith an time to throw. They’ll have to beat us with Hunt.

So we can't set the trap? just once I like to get the trap treatment |
Re: Redskins vs Chiefs Pregame Thread
Stop the run and Kelce. If we do those two things and don't turn it over we have a shot. Chiefs are beatable.

Let’s not forget Tyreek Hill, that guy is explosive. |

Great point on turnovers. That's it in a nutshell. Catch the punt, Crowder! |
Re: Redskins vs Chiefs Pregame Thread
I've watched all of Hunt's runs. He is fast, but so is Zach Brown. The only thing that scares me about him is running routes downfield out of the backfield. I'm not sure our LBs can handle that. Kelce too will be a matchup problem.
They can get to Smith though, and I think that will be the difference. 5-6 sacks and two T/O ought to do it. Redskins 24 Chiefs 20 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

whoa typo...fixed it! this win is the key....WE GET TO FOUR!!! |
Re: Redskins vs Chiefs Pregame Thread
First time I'm rewatched a game this many times in a row. Straight up, the middle of our defensive line is just dominating people. No one is getting free to the second level and both Allen and Ionindidinidnindinss are getting a TON of push.

Re: Redskins vs Chiefs Pregame Thread
I'm not ready to try predicting any game yet this season; however, the Skins played their most complete game in years against Oakland. So, I don't want to start setting any limits in my mind on what this team might be capable of doing during the regular season.
That said, IMO KC is a better team than Oakland and they are playing at home, so I think a win over KC would be more impressive than the win over Oakland. |
Re: Redskins vs Chiefs Pregame Thread
Chiefs lead the league in Rushing yards...this is the focus. Ill take my chances with Alex Smith.

That's the quandary their offense puts you in. Hunt is a major running threat which requires your LBs to plug the gaps quick. But at the same time be mindful of Kelce's speed up the seam. The LBs have to avoid biting on the fakes yet be quick to read and attack. Not easy. The key for us might be Nicholson. Dude is big and rangey. Maybe you shade him to Kelce and let Brown worry about Hunt. I'd like my chances there, we'd just need to make sure our corners handled Hill without giving up the huge play. That and keep containment on Alex Smith. He'll get out and run if the rush is undisciplined. This opponent deserves a lot of respect but for once it seems like we might have the talent to hang defensively. |

Redskins vs Chiefs Pregame Thread
If the D keeps showing up similar to last week it will be a very interesting season.
Was it just a perfect storm of the D playing way above it’s head and the Raiders’ offense laying an egg, or is the D a legit force to be reckoned with? We shall see. |

Re: Redskins vs Chiefs Pregame Thread
If we win an away game, against a good team, in prime time, I may believe we can get 4 wins.
|
Re: Redskins vs Chiefs Pregame Thread
I might have to change my 4 win prediction to 6 if this keeps up.

I think we’re legit. Obviously you’re not going to shut everyone done like that each week, but to do it against a high octane offense like that for 4 quarters tells me it’s likely not a fluke. |
Re: Redskins vs Chiefs Pregame Thread
Is Hill a great WR or is he just living on speed and creative ways of getting him in space? I have never been super impressed with his "receiving" abilities. Just a freak athlete who the coach is putting in the right spots. I think if we coach this just right, we can shut him down. Damn, our edge-to-edge run defense has me drinking some stroooong Kool-Aid.
|
Re: Redskins vs Chiefs Pregame Thread
Side note: How effing great is DJ Swearinger?? Dude is turning into the heart and soul of the D (I could watch the play where he knocks the skittles out of Lynch all day and not tire of it).
With that said, I am seriously worried about a let down b/c of how much emotion went into last week's win. I have no doubt they CAN beat KC but worry that they won't be able to sustain the emotional physicality needed to do so. |
