Re: NFL Week 6

Cardinals acquired Adrian Peterson from the Saints in exchange for a conditional draft pick.

It is something of a surprise after the Saints RBs coach talked up Peterson during the bye week, but the move makes sense on both sides. Peterson was never a fit in New Orleans, and his departure opens up touches for both Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara. The Cardinals need to find a way to jump-start the running game, and Peterson is a good fit in their power scheme.

whoa...good move by the cards

jesus, what a complete tailspin and now shit show. Mustache has lost the team and locker room.

"Rodgers-Cromartie has started the last two games for the Giants as they’ve opted to put Eli Apple on the bench to start games. Apple said Tuesday that he’s “uncertain” about his role on the team after saying he thought the “whole culture” of the team was to blame for the awful start to the season"

wow.

ian Rappaport:

Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie had words with coach Ben McAdoo after being pulled in Sunday’s game, sources say. It continued today

Apparently DRC came into today, had words and just got in his car and left. lol...wow

Safety Landon Collins disputed McAdoo’s version of events. He claims Rodgers-Cromartie did not leave the team, but was suspended by McAdoo after a disagreement.

According to Mike Francesa, Rodgers-Cromartie took off his pads at halftime and declared he was done playing. Another Giant challenged him, leading to a fight.

lololol...

Not every position. Your safety situation is solid, and your WR situation would be fine but for a freak series of injuries. I also think Engram will be a stud TE.

But the O line is horrid, the D line is aging, and your QB needs to retire (although I hope he doesn't and continues to play pitch and catch with the Redskins secondary). McAdoo is clearly a dead man walking, and your GM situation is astoundingly bad.

And they'll probably still end up with a top 5 pick which they'll probably use to select, or trade up and select, Matt Barkley with, further setting them up for the next 10 years like Wentz in Philly.

Pains me to say is but Philly is really good- they were playing against both the Panthers and the refs all night. And Tony Romo is one of the best analysts in football right now. Yuck.

The good ole NFCE where the previous year means absolutely nothing.

The Eagles are legit.

Refs cheated for Carolina and it didn't matter.

Newton played like a scared little man tonight.

We have to win the next 2.

Re: NFL Week 6

I didn't watch the whole game, but what I did see - it seemed like the refs gave a couple free hits to Eagles defenders and somehow didn't call Newton's layout a touchdown, even you could freeze frame the ball over the goalline and all his body off the ground.

I also saw Newton throwing freebie interceptions on the last drive until the last throw into the ground.

Eagles do look good, and look like a mean Jim Schwarz defense :(

I didnt read the actual opinion but I believe the injunction was lifted bc Elliott didnt exhaust his available remedies per CBA protocol .. basically any appeal was premature.

I imagine this goes back into NFL hands, Zeke exhausts his remedies available to him under the CBA, then he can file a stay of the suspension and appeal w Fed Co.

Regardless, my understanding is that these appeals are not fact based appeals (meaning Fed Co isnt trying to decide if Zeke committed assault, etc) but limited to review of procedural errors -- did the NFL not follow their CBA and maybe, whether employment discipline procedure is fair, reasonable and provides due process to players.

I think Zeke plays for the foreseeable future until all these legal boxes get checked off.

Carolina gave this game to the Eagles. That deflected INT deep in the Panther's own territory set the Eagles up nicely. And then the other turnovers. The Panthers seem pretty soft up the middle. The Eagles were able to gash them for 7 yard runs. However, the Panthers' D did get to Wentz several times, and we all remember how ol' RGIII used to be criticized for the style of play he was playing. Well, I'm seeing the same thing with Wentz. He's taking a lot of hits. That could come into factor later on in the season.

I think the 'skins defense is better than the Panthers', and I think the 'skins will have something to prove come next week when they face the Eagles again.

Man, Kuechly with another concussion? Call me soft, but if I was him Id start planning for life after football. He's been severely hampered in the past bc of head injuries...

Re: NFL Week 6

Not saying the Eagles aren't vastly improved, but like EVERY fumble/INT bounced right into their hands. Law of averages says that can't keep happening.

It’s not soft at all, the more we learn about the long term impact of concussions shit is downright scary.

My 9 year old son got invited to Ravens vs. Steelers last weekend. I would not let him go, especially without me. He probably won't go to a game until much later.

Its because of crap like this:
