Re: Mason Foster has re-signed
I think its relevant that this was taken care of quickly...much like the Dunbar extension.

perhaps it means they are going to get what they can in place to make kirk a final offer. That or they are just trying to sign people cheap to be able to pay that 34 mil |

Not at all, just identifying easy decisions and getting them out the way. |

A lot of people pick up toilet paper and tampons before they get the rest of the grocery list. |

ha! To be quite honest, I'm surprised Foster wanted to come back. Got pretty nasty there for a second in the middle of the season with him. |
Re: Mason Foster has re-signed
Right, but sometimes we forget many of these are people in their uppers 20s to lower 30s. When that money stares you in the face, you can be a team player REAL fast.

Re: Mason Foster has re-signed
Good signing, IMO.

Re: Mason Foster has re-signed
I agree. With the bazillion injuries we had this year, I noticed the most when Foster, Allen and Nicholson were all out. When they were playing, I thought we played as well as any defense in the league.

Re: Mason Foster has re-signed
Now let’s get Zach Brown resigned.

Re: Mason Foster has re-signed
This one did surprise me, but a good signing. Like most has said he is our best coverage backer. (Dont know if that isna great thing or not)

Yop. Really happy with this signing though, Mason Foster is underrated. When healthy he was on fire and is a decent coverage guy. He played through a nasty injury too ! Tough as hell. |
Re: Mason Foster has re-signed
Foster is solid, nothing to not like here

Echo that sentiment! Glad Foster is back in the house! Let's get Zach Brown signed! |
Re: Mason Foster has re-signed
2 years $4M with incentives that could make it as much as $7M. Probably impossible to reach incentives but it is what it is.

Re: Mason Foster has re-signed
Is 2 million too much for a backup MLB? Serious question. I like Foster and am glad he's back but I want an upgrade from last year in the middle.
Then again if we can't resign Brown then I'll be very thankful he's back. WIith Brown, I still want to draft a MLB pretty high in the draft though. If we lose him we'll for sure need 1 pick there and possibly 2. |
Re: Mason Foster has re-signed
Foster is a serviceable NFL starter. He is never going to be a stand out but he can run the defenseand get everybody where they need to be.

https://overthecap.com/position/inside-linebacker Josh Docston is getting more than Ryan Shazier... If we bring Brown back, with Foster as a starter, and Zach Vigil as a developmental/rotational guy (I think we tend to forget he played really well late in the season when we had lost any hope), ILB doesn't strike as one of our top needs... This defense needs more pressure up the middle. |

A healthy Mason Foster is a solid starter in this league. |
