Maybe it needs a "departure" and an "unsigned" category to be perfect. Skins 2018 Free Agents: Kirk Cousins QB 29 $23,943,600 UFA Terrelle Pryor WR 28 $6,000,000 UFA Shawn Lauvao G 30 $4,250,000 UFA DeAngelo Hall CB 34 $4,250,000 UFA Zach Brown ILB 28 $2,300,000 UFA Niles Paul TE 28 $2,000,000 UFA Will Compton ILB 28 $1,797,000 UFA Trent Murphy OLB 27 $1,118,200 UFA Arthur Jones DT 31 $900,000 UFA Chris Carter ILB 28 $885,000 UFA Brian Quick WR 28 $855,000 UFA Junior Galette OLB 29 $800,000 UFA Tony Bergstrom C 31 $775,000 UFA Phil Taylor DT 29 $775,000 UFA Spencer Long C 27 $715,950 UFA Bashaud Breeland CB 26 $676,500 UFA Ryan Grant WR 27 $608,403 UFA Dustin Hopkins K 27 $600,000 UFA Montori Hughes DT 27 UFA We should have around 32M available after signing Alex Smith. I'd let Pryor, Lauvao, Compton and Hall walk for sure. It all depends on numbers, but I'd like to see Brown, Murphy, Quick, Galette, Long and Breeland stay. Hopkins too, have no idea what he'll demand. Not sure what to do with Niles Paul? The rest is depth (or was just bodies to fill gaps left gaping by injuries). |

BMitch says he wants BELL, lol we all would but that ain't happening.. More like Crowell but I'm not a huge fan of his, he runs like Kelley does

I think Crowell is way more decisive with his first cut than Fat Rob. |

For Rob, what first cut? He just tap dances in the backfield until he's tackled. Poor Rob, he has no feel for the game whatsoever. We desperately need a lead RB. Perine is a backup, at best, IMHO. Perhaps we could get the job done with a committee. Chris Ivory is almost certain to be cut by JAC. I'd look into signing him to a reasonable deal if his health checks out. Given the opportunity, I'd definitely draft Raashad Penny. If not Penny, than I'd look to draft Sony Michel a little lower. Maybe Ivory, Penny or Michel, Perine, and Chris Thompson could get the job done. |
Re: Redskins 2018 Off Season Re/Signings
Bell has a lot of mileage on him already. I don’t think the Steelers let him get away anyway.

BPA in the 1st and Penny in the 2nd would be a perfect 1st 2 rounds. |
Re: Redskins 2018 Off Season Re/Signings
Can't wait for free agency and the draft! I think the Redskins will be in prime position to pick up some solid weapons for Alex Smith. I cannot stress, enough, the importance of getting a solid running game going. I believe Smith's success is very dependent on the running game.

I feel more confident now than I have over the last 2 years. Alex is a consistent good QB and winner, his record shows that. No more BS DRAMA about QB either, thank god. |

Yes. I have to say, this was a good move by the FO. Now, if they can just re-sign Zach Brown! |

That will get done, ZB wants to stay he has said that and they want him. I'm looking forward to F/A, Would love to see another CB added, maybe Vonte Davis? Breeland will walk IMO |
Re: Redskins 2018 Off Season Re/Signings
Cooley and Kevin went over all significant FA available at RB, WR and G:
http://cdn.stationcaster.com/stations/wtem/media/mpeg/02_15_18_Cooley___Kevin_HR_3-1518707589.mp3 After listening to this, and checking FA available at DL, LB, and CB, here's what I'd do: 1) Resign Zach Brown (if you fail, try to go for Navorro Bowman, Demario Davis or Tahir Whitehead) 2) Sign Isaiah Crowell 3) Make a push to sign Jarvis Landry, if you fail, fall back on Paul Richardson 4) Trade down in the 1st round to get a second 2nd round and try to get a 3rd round 5) Then draft, in that order unless BPA reaaaally dictates otherwise: DT, G, CB, CB, then DefBPA Signing a true #1 may mean we have to let Breeland walk. But if we can build our D through the draft, and have Moreau and Dunbar deliver, I like our chances. |
Re: Redskins 2018 Off Season Re/Signings
Crowell has played 4 seasons with over 700 carries, idk if he's worth big $ to bring in, and I just don't see him being a difference maker we need. Like I said he's a little better than Kelley and Perine but not that much

Watching him play I think he's better than his stats say. But I could be wrong. The big unknown for me is what will the market be for him. What would you say would be a good price for him ? |

I believe Crowell is better than lot people believe, he was in difficult position in Browns. I think Crowell will be good change of pace with Chris Thompson, and Perine as back up RB. |

That’s 175 per year, not a very taxing workload. Bell probably did that in 2 years. He’s definitely way better than what we’ve got. |

I think he is slightly but i wouldn't count out Perine just yet, he is still young and hungry. |
Re: Redskins 2018 Off Season Re/Signings
I'm pretty active on twitter and with the Redskin community. ONE thing I have to say is Galette really wants to be a Redskin. I'm really confused why we haven't signed him yet. This guys hungry. He didn't get the snaps he should have gotten and I'm sure the tape guys here know it already.

I think it is all about value: Galette wants big money and Redskins want him for cheap so they are probably letting Galette test market to see how much interested teams offer him and then possibly make similar offer? |

And they probably want to develop Ryan Anderson more.

Drama is Snyder's middle name. Unless there is some kind of major upgrade at WR this offseason, don't be surprised if there is another QB drama lurking just around the corner. Snyder loves drama!!!!! I am crossing my fingers that he can break the drama habit, but I am not counting on it. |
Re: Redskins 2018 Off Season Re/Signings
If Smith wins the bowl or gets us close cool but otherwise I thought it was a gross move.
Now we have to dip back into WR FA, Kirk was damn near developing WRs for us last year with that young unknown group. I just know Landry isn't a fit. Let's attack defense again and draft a rookie. |

Redskins 2018 Off Season Re/Signings
Galette was actually very effective with his limited snaps last year in terms of his pressure rate

One looking at that list consisting Preston, Galette and Kerrigan would assume Redskins ranked in top 3 for most sacks in 2017. I certainly hope we will at least make efforts to bring him back but at reasonable price although, I wouldn't mind if Redskins give him a contract that is loaded with incentives that could lead to big money for Galette if he made lot of sacks and/or QB pressures. We will find out what other teams think of him soon enough. Also, I wonder if Scot would encourage Browns to sign him? |
Re: Redskins 2018 Off Season Re/Signings
I could see him with the Rams. I think he wants to be back here but I don’t think we want to pay him anything outrageous

He says amongst available FA edge rushers, a part from Demarcus Lawrence, there's no one he'd take over resigning our guys (Murphy and Galette + Kerrigan, Smith and Anderson already under contract). http://cdn.stationcaster.com/stations/wtem/media/mpeg/02_16_18_Cooley___Kevin_HR_2-1518794809.mp3 This segment about Defensive FA confirmed how I already felt about what needs to be done this OS: bring back our guys, find a true #1 WR in FA, improve at RB (to me Crowell, Deion Lewis, or draft), and then draft defense, guard, and defense defense defense! |

The biggest thing working with a new receiver group is having a trust in the receivers making plays despite being covered,” Gruden said. “A lot of times he needs to see guys being open instead of throwing guys open from time to time. That’s the next step. Then when you do that, they have to make plays for you. You’ll never know until those balls are thrown.” At times Doctson was open for more chances. Other times he dropped passes that could have resulted in big plays. The Redskins also want to add a speedy receiver opposite Doctson to create more openings for big plays – much like Jackson did in clearing out areas if nothing else. Gruden hopes, if Cousins does return, that he can build upon his experience with Doctson. They don’t want Cousins to see “ghosts” – a defensive back who might be somewhat near the area but not close enough to make a play on the ball. Man I hope Doctson turns a corner and becomes our big threat! unless we have a sure fire pro bowl player at pick 13 we should trade down and get extra picks WR,RB for sure. lets give Smith some tools!

Landry, Doctson, Crowder, draft pick Reed at TE if he can finally stay healthy, I am just asking for 12 games, I like that group |

I think he would suck in Washington. IMO he is built to play for the Steelers only. Sure he can catch the ball out of the backfield but I find it hard to see his success running behind our O Line. |

Doctson didn’t exactly make the most of his opportunities last year. He needs to start coming up with the tough catches more often than not.

Sent from my SM-G955W using Tapatalk
True. This is an area where Smith will be an improvement. But what is also true is Kirk took more and more shots down the field throughout the season, threw some 50/50 like he was asked to... And Doctson dropped many of those... Several TDs... Our receiver corps didn't deliver last season. No excuse. |
