Lots of thoughts on here already: http://www.thewarpath.net/redskins-locker-room/64093-around-nfl-free-agent-signings-2018-a-25.html |
Re: Dez Bryant?
We already invested funds in Richardson and a 1st rounder in Doc. Plus Crowder and Reed. How would he fit in? He'd get 2 catches and would be crying like a bitch on the sidelines. Not be a good fit.

Re: Dez Bryant?
seriously,
1. Not a no 1 2. Dallas has allowed him to do whatever he wants and he's said he hasn't put in the work like he should. No work ethic 3. Locker Room problem and embodies the WR prim donna stereotype 4. The fall statically was dramatic. Big red flag. 5. He will try to demand 10 mill per...you have to be retarded to give this guy 10 mill |

Re: Dez Bryant?
My thoughts? He used to play for the Dallas Cowboys as a wide receiver. Other than that, pretty much it from my mind.
|
Re: Dez Bryant?
If we could get him for a good price, it may be worth it. I don't have time to look at the numbers I researched over the weekend but he was much better than we all thought, much of his decline has been due to Dak. For folks saying he wont take Josh's spot, is Josh the number 1? He sure didn't play like it last yr.. You can never have enough weapons on the offense, esp in Jay's system. Overall I don't think we will pay him, we have gone really cheap as of late.

Re: Dez Bryant?
I put it this way if the Skins pick up DZB then all the bitching about Odell goes out the window.
|
Re: Dez Bryant?
I'd rather sign Hankins first.

Anyhow, would welcome Dez at the right number. Definitely see a fit for the player he his right now. I see a Garcon like fit in Jays offen and a RZ threat. Motivated Dez + Alex Smith + Jay's scheme |
Re: Dez Bryant?
Dallas offense was boring as hell last yr, it appears that wont change in 2018. Yuck reminds me of the JC era here

Personally I think Dez needs to be in a strict organization like the Pats. It wouldn't work here. All the bitching and moaning I feel was based partly on Prescott not getting him the ball. From what I saw when we played them he was pissing on our DB's and Prescott wouldn't throw it to him. If he had a better QB I feel his numbers would still be #1 type of production or close to it. |

Don’t need an egomaniac asshole on the team, PASS!!

emotional immature guy who would be the would be the veteran WR presence in the locker room....what could go wrong? Risk and the money it would tie up wouldn't be worth it imo. Its just the wrong move for this team, but more importantly, at this time. We need to find out about Doctson...this is the make or break imo. Are you a starter or a back up? |
Re: Dez Bryant?
Everyone thought the same about JNO too, remember all the Panther fans that said "He' is a cancer" Jay seems to be a guy that can level these players heads some, I think it's due to him being a players coach.
|
Re: Dez Bryant?
The stuff about him being a cancer is a little overblown, still, I think we’ve got other more pressing needs to address

I also think relying on media third party opinion on players isn't l accurate. Imho perception, especially sports media perceptions, don't carry much weight with me. The opinions could be true or they could be false. I'm not at a vantage point to know. I do know that even in Dez 'down' year he's still would be the best on this team. |
Re: Dez Bryant?
Going after an out of prime WR, not NO. 1 WR, while not have a starting LG or NT on the roster would be completely incompetent.

Yeah, that's not how it works. Beckham is a douchebag regardless of who Dez signs with. Also, just say no to Dez please. He's a giant gaping asshole. |

We are getting the LG and NT from the draft, if we don't then that's incompetent. If you had said picking up Dez instead of CJ Anderson, I might have followed your logic, but getting a WR whose career might be resurrected in our offense with PR, Crowder and ?Reed, isn't an incompetent move in and of itself. Ways it could be incompetent: Refusing to look at Anderson Paying over 7-9M without considerable guarantees Bringing at a reasonable price but touting him as our new #1 So far I don't see any signs of them doing those things. |

Re: Dez Bryant?
For me it's simple.
Does adding Dez improve the team? The answer seems pretty clear to me given that even his production in a down year playing in a decidedly run first offense would still make him the best receiver on the team. |

I'd personally think Hankins has a much bigger impact for us than Dez does, relative to their replacements. |

We coulda resigned Ryan Grant with that money. :laughing2 by the way Ryan Grant just caught another 3 yard pass when we needed 4 yards for the first down. |

So the question "Will adding Dez for a year improve the team" has to be viewed, IMHO, in light of the current non-slot WR's on the team. In light of that, I don't think Dez at this stage brings any upside, whereas, that the Skins are betting both Doctson and PR do. Unless Dez is willing to come in as a potential 3rd WR with a prove it contract, I think he would cost too much, bring too little to the table and retard Doctson's growth. So, no, I do not think he will improve the team. |

i wouldnt pay too much to add another clown that brightens up a slowly but surely fading circus.

Plus, the guys we have have a better upside and signing him will likely come at price that could cost a good young homegrown player in the near future.
So no, he will not improve the team. Sent from my ASUS_P00J using Tapatalk |
