Post game Packers
AP...run the ball we win
I don’t know but this defense came to play. Holding that team to those yards and points...that’s a big win. Oline got it going today |
Re: Post game Packers
Another game were we got lots of breaks, I’m not used to it. My concern just like the AZ game, great 1st half, nothing on the second half.
I think our OL is better without Lauvao, with Roullier at LG and Bergstrom at C. Game balls to: Peterson Allen Ionnadis Payne Richardson Hopkins Negatives: Nsekhe 3 holding penalties |

Re: Post game Packers
This defense may be legit. Payne and Allen coming into there own out there today. If they continue to develop on the front seven, this will be a playoff team.

Re: Post game Packers
Positives - game ball to Gruden. Every unit was flying around.
Negatives - we won by less than a million. That game was great on every level. They were fast and they let the opponent make the mistakes. Might be revisionist history, but hat tip to Jay. As El Capitan, one of his better jobs in his career here. That aboy Jay. Alex Smith is a fucking leader, I just trust that dude. AP, you balled out today, fun to watch. So glad we brought him in, well done FO. |
Re: Post game Packers
Positives:
We showed up to play today. Inspiring start from the offense, kept it going until we had the 28-10 lead. Negatives: 2nd half momentum lost? We still did a great job keeping them off the board after their first 2nd half drive. Indifference: Seems like the game could've been closer, if the Packers didn't commit as many penalties and drop that many crucial passes. Also shout out to the garbage roughing the passer penalty on Matthews, the NFL gave us a present on that one. Let's call that one what it is: the furthering pussification of football. The fact that they immediately stood by the call tells me they are basically trying to remove hard hits from the game. I don't like it. Also 2nd shout out to Jay Gruden for challenging the 4th down catch. From my tv, it looked like a catch to me, Cobb sold it well. If they hadn't been paying attention, we could be talking a different ending. |
Re: Post game Packers
Also that sack of Rodgers where Ioannidis? took down Bulaga and Rodgers was the stuff of legends. What a stud.

The irony is Matthews is being flagged for a rule that was created because of the Barr hit on Rodgers last year. |
Re: Post game Packers
This defense is a top 10 D if healthy. We saw flashes last year until allen went down. That guy is a machine. Payne was solid, Matt I is awesome. RK and PS were better

Our O isn't pretty like we have said before, it's not going to "light it up" but if we can manage the game, limit TOs and score in the RZ we will be fine

Re: Post game Packers
We got a lot of breaks today w/ calls and blatant easy drops from the GB wr's. I'll take it, but it is really frustrating to see us play so well in the 1st half and then basically take a dump in the 2nd half. GB's db's were struggling and there were no deep shots in the 2nd half. Why? Or blitzes, just seemed like were were playing not to loose, which is Gruden's staple. Anyway, great win cause I didn't think we were going to, nice to be 2-1.

Its Aaron Rodgers man, the dude is a magic man. They made mistakes we didn't. A big part of NFL is making less mistakes than the other team. We wouldn't feel good about losing if the script was flipped. |

Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk[/quote] At least GB adjusted and played a better second half. My concern is vs AZ and GB we came out flat and did barely anything in the 2nd half. |
Re: Post game Packers
The good thing is even though we didn’t do much in the 2nd half GB did even less
|
Re: Post game Packers
Never doubted the 'skins for a moment! :D

Re: Post game Packers
BTW.... Oline looked good. There were a lot people worrying over the injuries and lack of depth.

Josh Doctson still isn’t worth a shit....zero catches.
Seriously |

This is how I feel. Glad we won. I don’t get the Praise for Richardson, Gruden, or Kerrigan. Is 1 reception worthy of a gameball? Someone needs to answer for the WRs lack of production. Either gruden needs to take the blame or he needs to replace Doctson. With SF losing Garappolo, I would call them to see if Garçon is available. |
Re: Post game Packers
If we won 11 games but Doctson only caught 30 balls, would people be okay with that?
The lack of production is concerning, but I feel it's also a larger indictment of the receiving corps. WR's just aren't getting open. Or the trust isn't there yet. |
Re: Post game Packers
I agree that doctson is not really bringing anything to table... if josh really is the best receiver we have then we don’t have much. Smith played very good today.. cousins had a bad day!
|
Re: Post game Packers
Offense line did a lot better this week. Huge turnaround from last week.
Alex Smith was straight balling. Making plays down the field and with his feet. Defensive line is a stud. 4 sacks by the interior lineman today helped out big time. (including the hurries/hits) Where the fuck are our edge rushers? They are AWOL. Josh Doctson who? Not a single fucking catch today. So far, he's a huge bust in my opinion. Where is the offensive coaching the 2nd half? THey looked like pure shit the 2nd half. What gives with these tales of two halves crap? |

Re: Post game Packers
Today was the blueprint for the 2018 Skins. Pound the rock, get ahead early, and lean on the D.
When was the last time we had 4 sacks and they were all from D-lineman?? |
Re: Post game Packers
They played like men today, won in the trenches on both sides and fought for every inch.
Loved seeing Gruden and Alex taking some shots too. That’s needed to keep the defense honest. |

Richardson is the big play guy, Crowder works underneath. Doctson did at least draw a couple of PI’s today. |
Re: Post game Packers
Nice to have the refs on our side for once. Lol.
Allen plus Payne = Wow. Healthy and back in two weeks to get some revenge on the Aints for that comeback last year. |

That was my favorite play of the game. He literally sacked them both. |

It was weird and awesome. Had to see a replay to make sure I wasn't imagining things. He was an absolute fantastic draft pick and that play was badass. |
Re: Post game Packers
Kerrigan is playing bad. Teams run right at him, they know they can kick him out and run right under him, he cant squeeze the block.
|
Re: Post game Packers
Doctson drew at least two pass interference calls, might have been three? I can’t remember. But he had his guy beat on the two of them, including the one that took us down to the one yard line that Peterson then ran in for his first TD of the day.
It’s definitely disappointing that this is what we’re reduced to for a first round pick but those were important plays. I still think he has value and offers something, I’m not giving upon him yet. |
Re: Post game Packers
Damn, there’s also a ton of harshness towards Kerrigan. He drew two blatant holding calls on what would have both definitely been sacks. With Doctson I get it but Kerrigan played well. It’s like some of you guys think sacks are the only way rush players contribute.

lol first post since last week and it’s to rag on a player after a big win
Some people I tell ya |

Yeah I thought that was pretty revealing. Today was definitely an example of how we want the game to go. We’re not built to play catch up too well. I’m hopeful our defense can keep this up, because it keeps us from getting in a hole at all. |

I think CT was limited due to the bad ground conditions. Defense was awesome today once again. |
Re: Post game Packers
I think what I really liked was the ability to come out and immediately shake off last week’s embarrassment of a game against a stronger opponent. We came out swinging on offense and defense...guys told me they were pissed about last week. That’s how professionals come out and ball.
