I thought we could use a fresh Russia thread considering the heat got turned up with the Sessions firing/anti-Russia investigation/pro-Trump knob slobber Matt Whitaker hiring.

Honestly, I'd really like to hear thoughts about why Whitaker doesn't need to be voted in for a Senate-confirmed position (even if it is just temporary), whether his publicly-stated anti-Russia investigation rant means he should recuse himself from the investigation, or whether you think an investigation that has already [URL="https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2018/2/20/17031772/mueller-indictments-grand-jury"]resulted in many indictments/guilty pleas[/URL] + paid for itself many times over with the Manafort assets seizure is worthy of being slowly defunded or shut down entirely.

I thought it was surprising and interesting what Rex tillerson came out and said with interactions with the president. Paraphrasing.. he said many things trump wanted him to do had legal implications which trump had not thought through...effectively trump wanted him to do things which may be illegal. The problem I have is there is no type of risk control or organized effort to mitigate certain legal issues that arise with the president agenda. I’m certainly not saying these are nefarious, criminal intent agenda of trump...it’s the fact he is not vetting his agenda through the proper legal channels before trying to get the ball rolling. That’s a problem and pleading ignorance isn’t viable when u the president.

I tried several times. The guy is married to my wife’s best friends daughter. The other guy is my wife’s best friends husband. Have met them both a million times. Why they decided a Halloween party was the best time to start in is beyond me. At one point they were literally both in my face and the one guy is going “oh orange guy bad” “you just hate trump”. I said it would appear you are much angrier than I am and laughed. They were going somewhere anyway so left shortly after and we all returned to music and drinks. But it was literally an episode of when Trumpers attack. Normally Id have brushed it off but when they started in on fuck Ukraine- my money is being spent on Ukraine and the election was stolen i lost my shit. I said what’s next Biden eats babies ? And said oh ok pal so you are now funding the war in Ukraine? I said you want your dollar back? Lol. Asked them if we should have stayed out of both world wars? Asked them at what point do we concern ourselves with Putin attacking sovereign countries… Europe? Do we wait till he goes into Alaska?
