Doctson is one miserable disappointment.

I thought the team played tough...oline and AP especially.

Think about this, when you have no-heart cowards like Davis and reed out for the game...it very well could have been the difference. Between the two, they usually are good for several big plays.

Not only are we looking for a qb...I like Josh though....we need to completely revamp TE and WR positions

Team fought it's asses off to the very end. Kudos to Jay for having this depleted talentless offense somewhat productive today. Great game plan with a QB that hasn't played in 7 years before last week. At least the injury riddled season is finally over. This team needs to revamp the offense totally. WR and G are as important as any position on the team needs list. Doc sucks ass, need to let him go. Crowder is solid. That's about it. Need to sign/draft 3 WRs minimum.

Crowder has shown up lately. Doc is Meh. AP played his absolute ass off today. The defense was beat by a backup QB, whom of which was helped by non call holding calls on every big play, and phantom illegal contact call and a defensive gameplan that shifted from attack mode to fucking sit back and chill mode. Hard effort, but once again poor in game adjustments may have cost us a game... Again.

I hope this effort Sparks interest for the fans to show up next week and support Josh and AP and others who are giving effort and beat the fucking eagles. Please. Some sort of caviat to this season. I hope we knock those fucjs out of the playoffs if they aren't already. I hope Jay doesn't sit everyone cuz it's over for us.

The defense played well enough to win today. Decent job

After watching Flanagan and Sprinkle to a lesser degree, every play Jay called expecting Jordan Reed to block anybody other than a CB was a stupid call.

Just use him as a WR already.
Gruden said he should have run an out
If that is true, he still stopped.

He ran it like it was a choice route.

Whatever route he was supposed to run didn't involve him stopping right behind a DB.

Say what you will about the coaching, players, schemes, etc. it was an entertaining game. With our team's situation at this point in the season all I could ever hope for was for us to just be competitive and be in it until the end. One of the few games this year I stuck around for all four quarters.

Gruden said Johnson worked the wrong side of the field also.

I'm wondering why Doctson looked like a lazy bum on that route.

I mean we’re the laughing stock of the league. As much as I hate it, we’re so mismanaged I’m not surprised people are giving us hell.

Re: Forgetting the Titans and Doctson Post Game Thread

Idk how anyone can draw conclusions on that Doc play. There's only a few people that know what was supposed to happen on that play, and the one responsible for the call put out the official word that it was on JJ.

Did Doctson quit on the route? Idk.
Did JJ have a miscommunication and throw to the wrong spot? Idk.
Did Gruden lie and put it on JJ to cover for Doctson quitting on the play? Idk.
Did Doctson slow up to run an out route then did a WTF? when he saw where the ball went? Possibly.

Either way, it was the deciding play. And it sucked. But after shutting down the Titans all game, Gabbert and Henry ate us up on the last drive. Our fourth string qb did enough to win, if we had held them on that drive we could be talking about a different result. And I've seen enough out of Manusky to know it's not a one-week occurrence either, our D is as inconsistent as its' ever been. They don't have an injury excuse either.

Man, I swear we're so 50/50 on Swearinger week to week. The problem with him being a talker is that he's gonna talk regardless. If you're gonna have him on your team you have to be willing to put up with him talking to the media.

No argument here. For the record that was Blaine Gabbert's highest rated, 123.7 game of his career. How you let that guy beat you is beyond me.

Payne and Allen had a great game....the defense limited Henry. I'm still thinking about Swearinger's post game comments....was Manusky wrong for calling man coverage instead of zone? This has been the most frustrating season ever...to start off so well and then crumble like we did....reminds me of 2008....

EdmundDorf 12-23-2018 08:38 AM

Re: Forgetting the Titans and Doctson Post Game Thread

While I would be the last to defend Manusky, I think that Swearinger needs to shut up while so many tackles are being missed.

I broke my damn tv after that second Johnson interception.....fortunately it's watchable enough until I get a replacement....this team was doomed as soon as they went below .500. To go from 6-3 with a 2 game division lead to where they are now iritates the fuck out of me....I commend Jay Gruden for coaching a broken team for a 2nd straight year....but from what I've observed since the Texans game the defense was the main reason for the team's collapse....they are currently ranked 17th in the NFL....but that's a far cry from where they were after the team was 5-2....

Manusky needs to evaluate what he does after each game...because most of the problem is the play calling....
