Around the NFL Week 12
https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/28117460/inside-rams-chargers-marriage-nfl-fights-los-angeles
Good read on the dysfunction in LA and how it reached this point (hint: Kroenke and the Rams are subsidizing the Chargers in LA). I think the Chargers are doomed to never be relevant in LA. LA could barely support one NFL team, two is practically out of the question. |
Re: Around the NFL Week 12
Aikman has a million reasons for Dallas today.. Fuck off, the Pats are playing in the same conditions. Dallas just isn't as good as people want them to be

The Chargers going to LA had to be the dumbest thing I've seen in sports. LA barely cares about the Rams. They're a SB team and no one is going to their games. |

Re: Around the NFL Week 12
I thought the cowboys defense played really well today. Kinda sad they cowboys fans are crying like lil trannys over the refs.
Cowboys haven’t beaten anybody with a winning record |

The Rams used to get pretty good support from the late 50's till the end of the 70's when they were in the LA Coliseum. |

Even back then it was iffy. Remember it is a big College town USC and UCLA football was pretty big back then and now. |

Re: Around the NFL Week 12
I don't understand all the bad mouthing the talking heads give Jimmy Garoppolo. Any time I watched him he has looked good. That 49er defense is legit, the Packer offense put up Redskin looking numbers.

The sad thing is we have the D-line talent as good as them, need a pash rush, ILB help and a defensive coordinator who can bring the best out of them. We can be that good and dominant. |
Re: Around the NFL Week 12
Jimmy is a solid QB, I agree I don't get the hate on him.. In fact Joe Burrow compares to JG a lot
|
Re: Around the NFL Week 12
I have to say, the fact Jerry comes out immediately and bitches about the coaching and strategy to the national media is hilarious. What a fool. Does nothing to help his organization and creates unnecessary, terrible drama for his staff. What happened to keep things in house? What a jackass...completely the wrong thing to do for the Cowboys. This could go Circus quickly

Obnoxious blowhard Stephen A was ranting on the other day about him being the 49ers weak link. The guy is 18-3 as a starter in his career. Did anybody in the history of the NFL start off like that? I seriously doubt it. Mahomes was 17-4 in his first 21 starts. Tom Brady was 14-7. |

It's great and I cant wait until they lose in the WC round and fire Garrett.. Then they'll be in our boat, looking and begging someone to coach |

As much as Jerry Jones is a clown I would take him over Snyder. |

Big Ben started 14-0 or some crap like that |
Re: Around the NFL Week 12
I'm in the camp of Jimmy G isn't anything special and probably is their weak link. But with that defense and running game he's in a perfect situation.
Big Ben started 14-0 or some crap like that
Good memory. I just checked, Ben was 19-2 his first 21 games. The thing stuck in my head about his first years were him setting record for having the worst QB rating ever for a Super Bowl winning QB in his 2nd year. |
Re: Around the NFL Week 12
Eagles and Cowboys both lose, Redskins win.
If Dallas loses to Buffalo, Things could get real interesting lol. A dallas has to do is win one game and the Redskins season is over. But the fantastic always happens 8n the nfl... |
Re: Around the NFL Week 12
The Ravens are fun to watch
|
Re: Around the NFL Week 12
Rams suck
These fools are getting smoked like a Thai stick |
Re: Around the NFL Week 12
I noticed Ravens running a ton of read option plays. That's the kind of offense you run when the QB can't run the true offense outright. (see RGIII for example) My guess is he'll continue to blow up this year, but next year you'll see defensive coordinators put a stop to it much like they did with us. Dude is fun to watch though and they have a great chance of reaching the SB playing like this.
|
Re: Around the NFL Week 12
I wonder if the Rams GM is second guessing that contract extension for Goff?

agree with u , I've said the same thing. RG3/KAEPERNICK both had similar offenses and after a full off season they sucked after. Not saying Lamar isn't better than those guys but his system right now is helping a ton |
Re: Around the NFL Week 12
Funny how most ravens fans wanted Harbaugh canned last yr....
|
Re: Around the NFL Week 12
The NFL might adjust someday, but what Jackson is doing this season is nothing short of amazing. Easily the front-runner for MVP, although Russell Wilson can't be ignored.

They have no chance of reaching SB. That's a lock. Regular season is just frontrunner fools betting paradise. Pats will beat them |

This is the absolute great example of perfect O Coordinator matched with the perfect QB for his system. This is the similar offense to what Kaepernick ran in San Fran....this is Greg Roman offense. I think it was 30gut a couple years ago who said Jackson was gonna be a great QB...while it looks like he's right, but I bet if they woulda continue to run Marty Mornhiweg's offense for Flacco, I'd bet we would be talking about him being a bust right now. You have to match the skill sets with scheme and strengths. |
Re: Around the NFL Week 12
Lol Rams traded to first round picks for Jalen Ramsey.

I think it's Jackson's to lose. He's the flashy sexy player , Wilson is the consistent winning boring QB. |
Re: Around the NFL Week 12
Everyone should pay attention to last night game and the importance of the O-line.
Rams Oline has been decimated with injuries (starting G and C IR), RT in and out with injury and lost another Guard to free agency in the offseason all this has completed affected the entire team. No running room and Goff is a different QB. Baltimore Oline has the answer for Aaron Donald last night. Non Factor. Yanda destroyed Donald last night. Baltimore TE act as an additional Olineman blocking down and setting the edge for Lamar outside run. Another article: https://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/powerful-offensive-line-helping-drive-ravens-high-octane-attack Folks you want to help Haskins? Resign and continue to develop our Interior Oline. Focus on Rebuilding the Tackle Positions. Add TEs to the roster who can block. Sprinkle and Vernon Davis are the worst rated Blocking TEs in the league. |

I was shocked Kaepernick made it as long as he did, once defenses put a spy on him he was screwed. He had no touch on his passes, they were all fast balls, not good for throwing over the short middle into the void left by the spy. He is out of the NFL because he was fools gold and quickly exposed. He was also a one read wonder and stared down receivers. |
Re: Around the NFL Week 12
There are plenty of QBs that fit that description they are called back ups

Yeah continue to develop these interior guys. I think Roullier and Schreff are def long term (4-5 years) extensions this offseason. While I think Flowers has been fairly average, I think I would look into bringing him back to develop as LG. I think 2-3 year extension would be a positive. I think as a whole there are an above average group inside. We need to be better at Tackle tho. |

Re: Around the NFL Week 12
Here is something that might sound crazy, Re-signing Donald Penn as a back up Left Tackle ONLY. Let him know we want you here in case of emergency and to mentor.
Penn not only been fairly solid, I love his attitude and demeanor on the field. He is always pumped and playing hard. |
