Taylor put someone in the hospital?!
Sports Central is reporting Taylor put someone in the hospital:
Washington Redskins 2004 first-round selection Sean Taylor has put someone in a general hospital and is charged with aggravated assault with a firearm, a felony, and simple battery. Maybe the people who know and talk to Sean Taylor will know and talk to him a lot less, thanks to the above advice from Jamal Lewis. http://www.sports-central.org/sports/2005/06/06/i_hate_mondays_offseason_passions.php Sounds like Taylor will soon be facing a lawsuit stemming from the battery. |
Re: Taylor put someone in the hospital?!
When it rains, it pours I guess. This is not going to end well.

Re: Taylor put someone in the hospital?!
I wonder who his source was about the person going to the hospital. Thats the first I have heard of that.

Re: Taylor put someone in the hospital?!
I regret my prescience from an earlier thread:
I'm glad someone else will speak up that Bowen isn't that bad. Also remember Bowen's last full year we had George Edwards coaching the defense and EVERYONE got burned MOST of the time. He's not stellar in pass coverage, agreed. However, I think that with GW pulling the strings, he can be better than a lot of you seem to think. To sum it up, the LBs and CBs (if healthy) Washington - will knock you the f*ck out Barrow - will knock you the f*ck out Arrington - might kill you Springs - will knock you the f*ck out Bowen - will knock you the f*ck out Taylor - might kill you Rodgers - ? (will probably at least make a tackle, he did at Auburn) |
Re: Taylor put someone in the hospital?!
What a fucking jackass. I don't care what anyone says but from the character he has displayed so far I'm pretty sure he is capable of doing whatever he is being accused of.

Re: Taylor put someone in the hospital?!
Can you imagine being chased by an angry Taylor, armed or not?

Re: Taylor put someone in the hospital?!
I didn't have time to read the 100+ emails on the taylor thread, and yes I know I could have done a search, but did we realize that this embarrassing soon to be cancer of a football player was screwing around with ATV's? I mean, I know he is a grown man, but if your lively hood depends on your body, why take a chance riding ATV's?
Also, where did that gun come from? I'm sure that this idoit didn't get legally? I feel so bad for gibbs man, but he did say Taylor was the "most researched player" ever. For as bad as this seems, hopefully it will scare sense into Portis, Moss, and any other knucklehead thinking of doing something like this. . .and if Ass Head gets out of this, maybe it will set him straight. . . |
Re: Taylor put someone in the hospital?!
It just keeps getting better! :Flush: What an ASS!

Re: Taylor put someone in the hospital?!
Until I hear this from another source, I'm writing this off as a rumor. This is an opinion piece about out-of-control athletes. Though I agree with the opinion, I don't see the examples as anything less than coloquial. In fact, each example listed uses a soap opera reference - "General Hospital?"
There is no record of grevious harm caused by Taylor in this incident. 10 points for coloquial. |
Re: Taylor put someone in the hospital?!
It was in the Washington Times Brudlee. I am really glad I didn't buy his jersey.

Re: Taylor put someone in the hospital?!
I think there's too much going on that no one knows anything about. We've heard so many things about this case that have changed then changed again. I'll be happy when I can find out exactly what allegedly went on!

Well I think that when you start messing around with guns and acting like some wanna-be gansta you lose the benefit of the doubt. Isn't Taylor's dad the chief of police for some town in Florida? If his ATVs got stolen why didn't he JUST CALL THE COPS! Luckily for Taylor it appears that he isn't that great of a shot... Maybe if he would just get his ass to Redskins Park and do what he should have been doing all offseason instead of hanging out with old friends - and it appears friends who have a predilection for criminality - then he wouldn't have such problems. |
Re: Taylor put someone in the hospital?!
After watching highlights from last season, Taylor was undoubtedly one of my favorite Redskins to watch. However, the more I hear about his off-the-field antics, I feel disgusted with him. I don't care anymore that he's a great football player with a load of talent. I think the 'Skins should cut him, regardless of the consequences. Trading him to another team sends the message that he can get away with anything. Frankly, I'm both saddened and really pissed by his behavior. :madani:

Re: Taylor put someone in the hospital?!
Haven't seen confirmation on this "hospital" claim, though I suppose that's not really the issue. It wasn't reported in the Times, as far as I can tell. All they have is the police report claim about the incident.
But whatever. You don't even have to touch anyone for it to be assault. |
Re: Taylor put someone in the hospital?!
as a long time skins fan....i hope that stupid bitch goes to jail for a long time. he kinda solved my dilemma though....i was wondering if i should still support the skins...yet always root against him. now i'm truly happy...because even if he gets away with it....joe gibbs has had enough of this piece of shit....and will release him anyways. HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!!!!!!! :food-smil

Re: Taylor put someone in the hospital?!
Release Sean Taylor, that's ridiculous. He may have some problems, but veterans on the team such as LaVar, Portis, Springs, and Jansen need to grab him by the head and put it on straight.
We may never see a talent like Taylor's in our lifetimes. There's no way we cut him now. |
Re: Taylor put someone in the hospital?!
If I was hit by Taylor... you'd bet your ass I'd go to the hospital, find Atty Jackie Chiles (the Johnny Cochrane-like character from Seinfeld) find a cane and a huge neckbrace. ChaChing.

In case anyone didn't see the interview with Marcus Washington on Sportscenter, he said that Taylor is a normal, good guy when he's with the team. I agree with what was said on "Buy or Sell" tonight when they said that they should go ahead and put Taylor behind locked doors and unleash him on the world when time for a game. I trust Washington's word and I think he's hanging out with a shitty crew down in Miami. |
Re: Taylor put someone in the hospital?!
I heard that Sean Taylor was abducted by aliens, shot three of them in the Oval Office before they assasinated G.W.B., was sent to Gitmo, and then was transported back to Florida just in time to be arrested by the alien police officers who conspired with G.W.B. to arrest Taylor because G.W.B. didn't want it to get out that White House security is so poor.
I can't take any more of these reports about the Taylor incident - so much speculation and the facts are changing every 5 minutes. |
Re: Taylor put someone in the hospital?!
Right. That's why I'm refraining from passing judgement.
The only thing I have to say is, "WHY do you INSIST on being in the spotlight even though Portis is saying you're sick of football?" I guess he likes to rock out with his glock out. |

um, if you've never tried to buy a gun, its very easy to get them legally... you can go down to the local mall here and buy all kinds of knives handguns crosbows and rifles from sports authority... unless he's done time or been on probation between 18-22 he'd clear the background check. And if he went to a gun show, he might be able to just pick it up straight cash and walk out legally with no questions asked. I think everyone just needs to chill on this a bit... the threads on this topic the last 3? days has been a bit ridiculous in some cases. ST wants to be OG and seems to have no common sense... he's good at selling himself though (the few interviews he has done have always been "the team is more important, blah blah blah type stuff), but he's got some problems and probably needs to employ a full time shrink and buy a rubber room ;) |
Re: Taylor put someone in the hospital?!
He needs to live with some teammates up in DC and work his shit out.
