Packers Pre Game Thread
Streak ends imo, not enough fire power.
Only way we when is if Rodgers turns the ball over and RB fumble...you know Rodgers only has 2 INTs so far this year? Amazing And we can continue to run the ball as we have the last several weeks. GB - 36 Skins - 20 |
Re: Packers Pre Game Thread
If we win this game, I'm full of Koolaid for 2020..
That being said The Packers will win this one by 10. 27-17 |
Re: Packers Pre Game Thread
Start Guice instead of AP, get to a fast start and we could have a chance. Both Smith’s will present a problem for Penn and Moses. If our defense plays well, I could see us having a chance.
|
Re: Packers Pre Game Thread
9 points. That's the redskins will score against this team.
F this shit. |

This is what I don't understand about this organization. It's like they're too chicken shit of playing young guys. You suck, you aren't going to the playoffs and you're starting a rb that is in his mid 30's?? Why?? Guice had 10 carries last week? I bet some of the nice runs AP had, Guice would have broken one of those off and gotten another 50 or 60 yarder. Same thing w/ Norman. He should have been benched a long time ago. Moses with all his screw ups should have been sat down too. |
Re: Packers Pre Game Thread
Guice is coming back from back to back knee injuries. Leave the kid on a pitch count and let him go into 2020 with a healthy off season.

Agreed. Plus I really don't see what's wrong with having a dynamic 1-2 punch RB duo. Ask the Saints if having Kamara and Ingram was an issue for them. We have 2 excellent to elite RBs, use them. That being said I really don't see us winning this one. And I don't want the Skins to win. I want a close game after which we all feel better about the team's future, but I feel like beating Rodgers might save BA and/or Callahan's ass(es)... so F that. |
Re: Packers Pre Game Thread
Yeah Guice needs limited carries

The Packers have a poor total defense and are in the bottom 10 against the run. If they can run the ball successfully and play keep away from Rodgers they have an outside chance. Going to have to stick with 1963 style football. |

Skins shock the football world with a 20-17 win
I really don’t see it happening but I also thought there was a zero % chance of beating Carolina last week Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Last week the high light I saw was showing Carolina making the on side kick. This week it will be the Redskins beating GB. 28-17 skins.

Re: Packers Pre Game Thread
December game in Lambeau? Yeah sign me up. Probably my favorite game on the schedule this year. Please at least be competitive.
|
Re: Packers Pre Game Thread
I am not a fan of BA, but if the Skins were to shock GB, who is in the thick of the playoff hunt, there would have to be some credibility to his "we are close" claim.
I truly believe Gruden had checked out before the season and the team with him. Had DS cleaned house last offseason the team would have been vastly better off! As for the game, ARodgers win this by shredding Manusky's D and Guice/AP have combined 160 yds. 36-28 GB wins Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk |
Re: Packers Pre Game Thread
Green Bay gets out to a hot start and unlike Carolina, finishes the job.
31-13 GB. I also agree, if we win this game Dan seriously starts drinking the "we're close" koolaid. |
Re: Packers Pre Game Thread
I felt Manusky had his best game this year. Big difference in the QB's from last week to this week.
It baffles me that there are still terrible breakdowns in the secondary at this point of the season. Had Allen made a simple easy read last weeks game could have gone into OT. What is it with these guys and communicating? A moral victory is important. I want a competitive game where these young guys are playing well. DH needs more improvement, get #17 more involved, Guice gets 20 carries. Get #15 the ball in space, keep the pass rush coming. |

Is there any evidence on any team film from any era where the prevent defense actually ended a last minute desperation drive? He should've abandoned that shit after the td. |

This FO and coaching staff have had way too many opportunities to be effective, Manusky has proven again and again he just CAN'T properly coach nor call a defense, Callahan is not a good motivator and is not the future, and we won't attract anyone decent to work under BA's orders. I don't care if they beat the Packers by 14. In fact i'd take it as another proof that they need to go: the roster is good enough to compete but we won't SUSTAIN any success with them running the show. But if they do you know how they're gonna spin it like dysfunction was all Jay's fault and it simply took them a couple of games to get it right... |

If we beat Green Bay, expect to see and hear from Bruce Allen, he will want his credit for making it happen.

Re: Packers Pre Game Thread
I think we got lucky with the Panthers O line being horrible at pass pro and their D line being injured. I dont see us getting pressure on 4 or 5 man rushes ... but who knows, honestly i have zero clue on how good or healthy the packers O line is.
I think A-Aron has a field day with our LBs trying to drop back into coverage and they basically just exploit/dictate matchups on our LBs and target it every single time. I think Moreland/Moreau will be picked on heavily as well. I wonder what they do when Collins drops down into the box. I think teams have to start accounting for that now when he drops down. If you have a screen or something, I think you need to check out of it now. |

Redskins are winning. this one's easy. Since theyve won 2 weeks in a row, it means they are winning out. I was absolutely correct. I know the nfl likes to make thinks fantastic.. but this is ridiculous. People will obviously still fall for it |

Payne had gotten a crappy penalty for hitting Allen while he was sliding, and during that TD clearly players hesitated because of that. I think QBs should be protected within the first 5 yards, after that, they should be fair game IMO. |
Re: Packers Pre Game Thread
I hope they win, if for nothing else, so all the talking heads can continue to bash this terrible division, since the Redskins would still be in the hunt in week 14 at 4-9. Unbelievable.
Rodgers is no Allen or Driskel though, and I'm not sold that the D has magically turned a corner. We'll see... I'll go out on a limb and say 26-23 Skins. |

Most of you are drunker than I am if think you the Skins are gonna go to Green Bay,and beat Rodgers who has his team priming for the playoffs,we ain't playing no soft rookie this week,Rodgers will have]400 yrs passing]against our sorry stupid secondary and this game will long over at the half...Green Bay 41-Redskins 20!!

Redskins will win because it's exactly what the league wants. Coming: A game between Redskins and Dallas , in week 17, for the division title. |

Re: Packers Pre Game Thread
A friend of mine and rabid Packers fan is worried. I snorted derisively and said that the Pack would win handily. He stressed that their run D isn't great, AP has a history of torching them, and that they may be looking past the Redskins to the following week's game against the resurgent Bears. (It's a trap.) I snorted derisively again.
But if we somehow manage a W, folks will be talking about running the table against the Eagles, Giants, and playing for the division championship in week 17 against Dallas. Which is crazy-talk. |
