Coaching and Front Office Changes
HC: Riverboat Ron Rivera
DC: Jack Del Rio Fired: Allen Hess Schaffer I think we are well on our way to making some big POSITIVE changes! HTTR |
Re: Coaching and Front Office Changes
Rivera and Del Rio Bay Area connection
Rivera from Fort Ord in Monterey, CA Del Rio from Hayward, CA |
Re: Coaching and Front Office Changes
Schaffer getting the push sure seems to explain why Danny is doing all of the firing.

Danny's doing all the firing because he doesn't have a lackey anymore to do all his firing for him. I'm fine with it. This is one more step towards Danny being a better owner. It's only a dream for now but I would love a Dan Snyder press conference. Just be accountable for the team you own Dan. The part where we want to be concerned is when Dan is making roster decisions and passing them down to the staff to be done. That needs to stop. |
Re: Coaching and Front Office Changes
May want to pump the brakes on the Schaffer news, conflicting reports, and now Doc has deleted his tweet.
|
Re: Coaching and Front Office Changes
Per JP, he's getting conflicting information on Schaeffer's firing. Doc Walker broke the news, which was a bit surprising to hear him break any news.

Schaffer being the next lackey in seniority after Bruce

Re: Coaching and Front Office Changes
Doc Walker just said he spoke to Schaffer and he has not been released.

JP Finlay also confirmed the firing. This is kind off like the Alex Santos report yesterday, he’s still with the team. |
Re: Coaching and Front Office Changes
I don't think Snyder would terminate Eric Schaffer. He's universally respected. Doesn't make sense.
|
Re: Coaching and Front Office Changes
That's two incorrect reports in the past two days. First Kareem Copeland misreported on Alan Santos being fired. And now Doc Walker and the Schaffer flub.

Re: Coaching and Front Office Changes
JP Finlay's tweet says he's confirming Shaffer has been fired. Rapaport and other national guys are conflicting it. I'd hate to see JP's reputation take a hit, he's been so good and I like him a great deal.
|
Re: Coaching and Front Office Changes
Doc just tweeted that he was wrong.
FFS  |
Re: Coaching and Front Office Changes
Ian Rappaport: Some clarity on the #Redskins: Senior VP of Football Operations and General Counsel Eric Schaffer is currently in the building and remains employed by the team. That is expected to be the case going forward, as he’s a valuable member of the front office.
Craig Hoffman: When asked to confirm if Eric Schaeffer had been fired from the organization, a source with knowledge of the situation said "no." The @team980 report is wrong. AND straight from the horses mouth... Rick Doc Walker: Correction on my earlier report on dismissal of Eric Shaffer. I just spoke to Eric and he is still in. |

Rick Snider Retweeted JP Finlay Verified account @JPFinlayNBCS 10m10 minutes ago More Conflicting information on Eric Schaffer. I had a source confirm the story but now hearing different. Stay tuned. If I'm wrong will own it. I was shocked when I heard this in first place. |

I like, follow and trust JP and Craig Hoffman.

They are accurately reporting what their sources are telling them.... but i have a feeling their sources won’t be around much longer. As others have said, Snyder seems to be putting false info out there to sniff out leakers.... Which i completely respect. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It's so annoying. Is there some kind of a prize for being the first to break news? |
Re: Coaching and Front Office Changes
Now Florio jumps in saying that he is fired...
And now he just walked that back. FFS what is going on |

In journalism, if you're not first, you're last. |
Re: Coaching and Front Office Changes
I think Snyder is fucking with the media, especially Florio.
|
Re: Coaching and Front Office Changes
So PFT's twitter account posted that the "leak" regarding Schaffer being fired is Schafer himself. He was told he was out on Monday. This is all very confusing.

Like they expected it to be a staffer of Schafer and instead Schafer is going to the media.

Re: Coaching and Front Office Changes
Shaffer and Kyle Smith are a very good combination. I think Rivera will see how they do in the April draft before making any changes or promotions.
This is media hysteria as everyone wants to trump the other sources with the latest story. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

lol @ the post that just says: Redskins

if true (florio bats around 20% accurate) then this is the most Redskins ever. And I kinda love it. I feel like Redskins park is kinda like OfficeSpace Who are the 2 Bobs doing the Exit Interviews? Danny and Larry Michael? |
Re: Coaching and Front Office Changes
Florio is such a little bitch
|
Re: Coaching and Front Office Changes
excited to have a good motivator, a good defensive mind and a LOT .... of accountability in this team next year.
Florio is such a little bitch
His ridiculous refusal to use the team name and pressuring others not to do so, in spite of mountains of evidence that native Americans do not consider it offensive, is incredibly childish. |
Re: Coaching and Front Office Changes
Now douchebag Florio says Shaeffer leaving in May.

Florio is just mad his source was wrong. Damn crybaby.

It's not just Florio, it's Doc Walker, even one of the few credible names in JP Finlay got sucked in by it. If Schaffer is the leaker who gave him the impression he was out? Schaffer leaving after the draft makes sense because timing wise that's usually when next season's roster is solidified and FO moves like GM/etc. are made. Maybe Ron wants his own guy? Idk. But right now it reflects poorly on all parties involved, for the Redskins putting that doubt in Schaffer's mind, to all the media who jumped the gun to be first on the report. |
