Around the NFL week 5

Re: Around the NFL week 5
Losing Logan definitely hurts, hopefully Samuel can continue to increase his workload and pick up the slack.
|
Re: Around the NFL week 5
Damn…losing Thomas is big.
|
Re: Around the NFL week 5
Big ouch.. It will be interesting to see how the offense do without Thomas, and I hope it will means Bates will get more playing opportunities. I'm curious about him.
|
Re: Around the NFL week 5
yeah of course Thomas goes down... This team has the worst luck man
|
Re: Around the NFL week 5
Washington did have interest.
Quote Tweet Ian Rapoport @RapSheet · 3h Source: The Packers are, in fact, the likely landing spot for former #Cowboys Pro Bowl LB Jaylon Smith. They are finalizing details. Per Keim, Skins has interest |
Re: Around the NFL week 5
If we signed Smith, Dallas would be paying his salary to play against them and you have to imagine how motivated he’d be. Not saying he cures our defensive ills, but that would motivate a fella I’d wager.

Let’s hope it is only 4 weeks for LT. He is definitely not the dude we needed getting dinged up, but at least it isn’t season ending.

Re: Around the NFL week 5
We fact we couldnt get Smith to even answer a call from us is telling. Still the biggest joke franchise in the league, we are fucking laughable.

Where did you read that from? |
Re: Around the NFL week 5
Last I heard there was mutual interest with J. Smith and the team, but he was leaning GB from the start.

Re: Around the NFL week 5
I'm not heart broken that there hasn't been a knee-jerk reaction to bring someone in at LB after Bostic's injury. It's quite possible that forcing J Davis to play more snaps and getting Hudson in there on occasion will be an in-house upgrade. If it isn't though, and they are still riding the struggle bus on Sunday, I think the position has to be addressed - either by plucking someone off a practice squad or making a trade.

Not many teams have a QB like A Rod, he alone practically guarantees them a shot to go deep into the playoffs. |

Agreed. I'm assuming that the coaches were content with our current LB group on the roster based on their lack of interests in the LB market last offseason, so I want to find out why they are satisfied with our current LB group. |

yeah he may be a dick but the dude is a top 10 QB of all time |
Re: Around the NFL week 5
To recap what little I watched of the Rams Seahawks first half.
-Stafford threw a terrible pick in the red zone -Aaron Donald got a 15 yd roughing penalty with less than a minute left - Seahawks had a touchdown negated by offensive holding - Seahawks kicker missed a very make-able FG. I guess my point is that if that were our team, many on here would be saying it proves how awful the individual players, and the coaching is. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk |

I absolutely love Baker Mayfields commercials.
Also when Myers missed that kick I decided I am going to open a place kicker camp for kids so by the time they are 20 they are automatic. Imagine just kicking fg’s from the time you are 5 until you get to HS, College, etc. From a parents (clients) perspective you are thinking.. A) my kid doesn’t have to be a physical freak to do this. He can just stay in decent enough shape and do mainly leg workouts B) he will be financially set, and retired at a decent age C) I can go to the games for free Are all of my students going to be professionals? No. But there will be a shit ton of great kickers out there who have been training their whole lives to be kickers, not soccer players who learned how to kick footballs late. Obviously I will need to find a kicker to show them the basics. But they are going to train for 20 years before they make it to the pros ill tell you that. |

The Jaguars are telling Meyer he needs to shape up. The game is telling him he's 0-4 and perhaps not cut out for NFL coaching. |

He uses the phrase rubber lips alot speaking of loud mouth liars. So michelen tires would certainly be synonymous with rubber lips BUT as always ya gotta really think about what you are saying. I just have a hard time imagining that he meant that in some racist way. I really do. Hope Im right. |

I will also say they have been more competitive than I thought they would be. You want to fire him for off the field shit that is different. But nobody was winning with that team this year. Nobody. Think he has actually made them seem like at the least a competitive team thus far. They gave the Cardinals who people think may be the best team in football a serious run for their money. Could really be 2-2 at this point which is crazy. No way I am blaming him for being 0-4. Talk about a terrible situation to step into. They are definitely playing better than last year. Improving every week too. |

Re: Around the NFL week 5
A quick rant about NFL coverage in the Baltimore/Washington region. Either treat Baltimore and Washington as the same market or treat them as two different markets. Not this flip flop they do all the time.
Today is a good example of this crap. The DC CBS affiliate is not showing any games after Washington's game, which typically happens. However, there is no reason why the Baltimore affiliate should not show any games as well. Cleveland is playing the Chargers, which I imagine is relevant for Ravens fans. They should be showing that game in Baltimore, but for some f'cking reason they are not (Ravens are playing in MNF). Thank goodness for the Redzone channel, otherwise I'm stuck watching Cowpukes and Giants. |
Re: Around the NFL week 5
Troy and Joe are suck Dallas homers man. I know Troy is but they shouldn’t let them call these games. It’s so one sided

They are, that's the reason why I don't want to watch that f'cking game. Also, Danny Jones just got his clock rung and is out of the game. Saquon is also out. They're pretty screwed. |
