WFT v. Packers Good Loss post-game

430 yds for wft, 304 for GB. Two weeks in a row the offense moved the ball but could not get it in for the scores

The game was a good loss for the defense. Bad loss for the offense. And a standard loss for fans.

Another week where I only have 2 questions.
1)why did I pay for the ticket?
And
2)why would I turn down ot for this?

TH is obviously a problem BUT TH wasn’t the plan. TH is our backup. Everyone else who coached and played like shit again today was the plan. Rivera was supposed to fix things. He and his staff are amplifying them. We didn’t make excuses for past coaches let’s not make them for current ones. This team learns nothing from week to week. It is the same old song and dance. Anyone who thinks this team would be any worse with Gruden on the sidelines is kidding themselves. 2-5 and honestly the Giants had us dead to rights in one of our wins.

Thought defense looked sharped. Collins move and Jamin Davis play has improved the last couple weeks. Team tackled well. St Juste got picked on today but I see a lot to like. Dline looked great

The offense is a mistake strewn mess

“See alot to like”. Very Rivera- ish of you considering the D is bottom two in the league and we are coming off a loss. Lol. Seriously it is mind boggling how every week one side of the ball has to be a complete train wreck. If our offense and defense could both just be average together in one game Id consider it a victory (or a great loss).
Today our defense was definitely better - extremely low standards there - but probably the best game they have played, and our offense was worse than it has been all year. Its nuckin futs.

Re: WFT v. Packers Good Loss post-game

They played well on defense, especially up front. Terry would have had 200 yards today if he had a legit QB. Dude is just a stud.

OL was good until the last couple drives

You can’t have the mental mistakes in the Red Zone like we did.

Bottom line is we suck and we all knew we weren’t going to win today.

Is what it is

Re: WFT v. Packers Good Loss post-game

Travelling so had to watch from a bar. The Defence played better but the one thing that really jumped out at me was the Pack going for it on 4 and 3 on their first drive. That decision was a statement that they had no respect for the Redskin's defense. It will take a few games of good D to change that perception.

2d - I didn't hear any of the broadcast but was Rodgers showing the L sign at us stating the Redskins were losers at various points in the game?

It was a better Effort .. if Taylor scores and a few breaks go our way it’s a very close game … with that being said we need a legit QB…

Taylor just can’t push the ball downfield. It sucks but unless they go Allen next week, we probably won’t win that either

Just saying a backup quarterbacks play isn’t normally my biggest concern. Ya don’t expect your starter to go down in game one. Hard enough to find one serviceable quarterback let alone two. But TH should be better than this - especially today. That was rough.

Correct. Dgaf is pretty much the sentiment.

I wouldn't say this was a good team performance, either, as Davy said..
We gave up 24, and only scored 10. If that's what we consider a good team performance....we might as well be watching wrestling..
Th seems pretty inept at this point. That dive to hold a td back was nightmare fuel. Terry dropped too many passes for a number 1 receiver. D played well in the first half....lost momentum.
No matter what happens week to week, we are who we know we are. A bad, bad, bad team.

Six drives of 45 yards or more. That’s a boatload better than this offense has been playing.

I agree that’s why the bone head mistakes in the red zone were especially frustrating.

The defense allowing the drive before halftime really hurt, but I think for on the road versus a quality offense with great QB they made some plays to keep us in it until the fourth.

Aggravating blocked kick, the offense doing a 0-3 or 4 on fourth down….the Hiencke slide and Terry drop in the end zone….the offense needs to execute in the make or break moments, game changing plays. It’s winning football.

I think it was a better all round game from both sides of the ball

I know we were bad but we must have been really bad if a 24-10 loss is improving. Too much I saw some good stuff today. Has Ron gotten into your heads?
This wasn’t a complete game. This was a 24-10 fuckin loss filled with head scratching errors and shotgun formations from the one yard line and missed kicks and all sorts of fuckin garbage. Fuck that. I will never allow myself to get to the point that I am celebrating a fuckin 24-10 loss. This team may have a loser mentality. I dont. Lol. They suck and Ill continue to say they suck until they win more than they lose because it is about wins and losses not playing better than the last ass kicking. It is week 7 and we are excited that they seem to be finding their way for spurts? Wow.

This team is garbage. Hot fuckin garbage.

The fans are great there, class acts. I highly recommend going to a game. Not many Skins fans there today, probably the least I’ve seen for a road game (this is the 6th road game I’ve been too for us)

I blame Heinecken for not knowing when to slide, he does it all the time where he’s always sliding too soon and falls short.

That team is special even when they are awful. My mom's family is from upper Wisconsin. The Pack was my grandpa's team and we would watch games together. They are so different from being owned by the community and ticket holders to the fun traditions they have. One that I always wanted to do was this: https://www.bicycling.com/news/a28580638/green-bay-packers-young-fans-bike-ride/

Imagine a favorite team player asking if they could ride your bike to camp?

Re: WFT v. Packers Good Loss post-game

Ok.
You guys know how much I've been down on this team this season.
You guys know I gave them zero chance in this game.

But I actually think they played way better than expected.
Defense bringing quite a lot of pressure, backend holding up long enough for the DL to get there.
Offense actually moving the ball quite well.

You also know how I'm not one to bitch about refereeing especially in a 14 points loss.
But I think the "giving himself up" TH dive was highly questionable. He's diving head first.
And the next play I really don't get how he can be down when he regains possession with a pile of 20 guys underneath him.
That's back to back very weird calls, and at 14-21 it would have been a whole different ball game.

Anyway...

Positives

Payne
Allen
Settle (that blocked FG...)
Sweat
Seal Jones making some nice plays and key blocks

Negatives

Why the effin ass was CY sent in coverage on that 4th and 3 on the first drive ? Stupid playcall at its best...

Collins missing some tackles and allowing some YAC on key downs

For all the talk about the need to play more man coverage, I think we saw some of the downside of it on that early 3rd and long conversion on the ground by Rodgers, and that 3rd TD on Jamin Davis. I actually think that's something that is not nearly as simple as we sometimes want to make it. Like you can't go all zone or all man. Both have perks and lows, and you have to use different coverages in different situations.

McLaurin's drop on 3rd2

Humphries on the INT... freakin tackle the guy! Especially in the NFL where OPI is only 10yards... If you can't make legit play on the ball, just tackle the defender, a 10yards loss is better than a turnover. Kelce did that on Holcomb last week...

My good loss narrative is catching on!
If this keeps up we might be the best losers ever.

The difference between good teams and bad teams is good teams can overcome mistakes. When you are a bad team and you make mistakes you have no chance. Yes we can fall back on the “hey if not for a couple plays we win that game” - it is better than getting your ass kicked I suppose, but a good team isn’t buried by a couple mistakes, because it makes up for them on the next set of downs or so. We make a mistake and its “oh crap that was our chance”.

I got a hard time finding improvement in a loss.
