Still hard to believe a multi billions dollars franchise couldn't find a way to hurdle the trademark/legal issues. I mean seriously you want me to believe if they really wanted to they couldn't be the Washington Wolves ? Even Redwolves, a freakin soccer team from Chattanooga can but an NFL franchise can't ? Don't buy it.

Anyway, hope it's a Hogs option, will really be disappointed if this 2 years thing comes up with something as boring as Commanders...

Groundhogs … wow, so the list that the team gave out and told the fan base these are the finalist .. all that was more Snyder lies 😀.. it’s not gonna be commanders .. we gonna name it after a animal that most people regard it as a pest ( they shoot them down here like rats) .. farmers hate them .. very dangerous to the land and serve no real purpose..I’m okay with Hogs but please no groundhogs ..by the way the Hogs were not named after a damn groundhog .. but a real HOG !

I don’t think it commanders .. I was watching the junkies just now with Ron as guest .. they talked about this at length .. they asked him about commanders and he truly acted surprised about that name being brought up .. I think it’s gonna be something with Hogs in it ( I just hope no groundhogs) .. plus why reveal on a Wednesday Groundhog Day ?

I just watched the 7 minute video ( making the brand) .. there are clues in it , one quick clip shows Stars on uniform ( military style) plus some sort of black piping ( a nod to military uniform agian) .. I gotta believe that they are using Groundhog Day as a smoke screen .. maybe a nod to the hogs but to name this team the groundhogs would be horrible .. the red wolves or wolves was a million times better !

Just watched the video. Clearly the main point was to officially announce it isn't wolves/redwolves, and secondly prep the date.

The uniform glances were really useless other than show the are keeping burgundy and gold - which we already knew.

At least there is an end date...

Personally I think anything hogs related is a little corny and forced. I think they want a clean slate with the name, and the colors will be the tie to the past. I'll be pretty surprised if it's not Commanders.

Over?? Hardly. People maybe even the majority will still call them the Redskins and wear Redskins gear. Reportedly custom Redskin gear outsold WFT gear which has to be a bit concerning to the NFL contracted vendors. Maybe this will change with a more permanent name but probably not anytime soon.

I was being tongue in check but seeing how some people could blasphemously discredit such a fun cute creature and it makes them angry I want it now. We have a family on my farm, they live in the horse field and near the compost. They do wonders for naturally tilling the compost and our squash fields.
