Like all such trades it depends what you are getting. Obviously if it was CY straight up for Joe Burrow then they wouldn't flinch. Aside from QB no one is untradeable. That being said Payne and Sweat are at the front of the queue for being traded if they want to go that way. Not much else worth trading outside of the three foundational players.

Payne and a 1st for either Watson or Wilson.....at DT Payne is expendable......because we have Matt Ianidoas and Tim Settle....but Chase or Sweat is not that expendable because we don't have good depth at DE.

Would make this trade in a half of a heartbeat. Not because im anti CY, or because I don’t think he will return to form but QB > any other position.
Especially when no draft picks are involved.

Seems like most are willing to put aside Watson's transgressions. The guy was trying to get his ass crack massaged. Trying to get these women to beat him off. Umm you are an NFL QB and should have no issues having multiple women if that is what you want. Instead you need to pay for a massage therapist to do this stuff? Idk if I even want the guy. He has serious problems. It goes beyond a fetish to me. He needs help.

In order to get something you have to give up something. I would trade Young in a heartbeat if it means I could get a serious upgrade at QB. He simply isn't as good as he was advertised.

Those of you mentioning Payne, sorry but he isn't going get a deal done I would think. He isn't consistent enough. Teams know that. They watch the tape.

The Texans won't deal Watson without picks involved.. I like Davis mills but he is no Deshaun.

Agreed. We definitely don't need a separate thread for every speculated trade scenario. There will be many...I'm sure they can be discussed in the appropriate offseason threads.

I'm not sure this has any "legs" at all anyway. Randi Taylor speculating about a possible CY trade for DW, because Ben standig "suggested" that RR has such a need at QB that he would be willing to trade his best player?

This isn't even news. Of course RR would trade his best player for a franchise QB, but right now CY isn't even Washington's best player, and no one is going to touch DW until his legal woes are resolved.

No because of DW troubles. if I was going to trade any player of a QB it would be Payne - not consistent or Matty I - cant stay healthy and it might allow us to keep Settle for cheaper.

No one is trading away their legit franchise QB for a DT. Not even Darnold would get the nod. Would need at least two firsts thrown in

Payne is a nice player but he's not one that's going to get teams hot and bothered in trade scenarios. Teams are going to want a pass rusher, a potential impact player, not an interior DL. Young or Sweat and you could toss in Payne too. But Payne alone with picks? Zero chance that gets anything done.

Regardless of where he goes...I don't understand why his case is dragging out so long? Is he holding things up or the prosecutors? I know everything is pushed back and takes longer these days...but it's been over a year right?

On his own of course not, but if it saves future firsts in a trade for a QB then he has value, it is likely you would not get more than a 2nd rounder for him staight up. It has the added value of saving $10-16m /yr on the cap that would be needed for an established QB

We should trade Young and 2 firsts for a guy who could soon be indicted. And even if he is not indicted, he has some serious issues. This is a DANNY KIND OF TRADE' THE KIND THAT REEKS OF A NEED FOR ATTENTION.
