Dawg pound Pre Game thread
On to Cleveland at home Sunday.
It’s a huge game for us, if we win and SEA takes the L to NYJ we are basically in. The lions have Chicago and GB left. They will lose one of those games for sure. The browns defense is solid but their offense sucks and Watson has been bad since his return. If we can stop Chubb we should win this game. I think we bounce back here 24-17 Commanders |
Re: Dawg pound Pre Game thread
Browns will have more sacks than we have points.

It’s certainly possible with this offense. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Dawg pound Pre Game thread
I would like to see a more balanced offensive attack against Cleveland.....despite the Browns having a good run defense Washington should be able to pound them successfully with Robinson and Gibson.

Re: Dawg pound Pre Game thread
I’m sorry but we have to root against you guys. I hate to do that.

Re: Dawg pound Pre Game thread
For the 31st consecutive year, Washington won't win 11 regular season games. Every other NFL franchise has done it at least once in that time. Every franchise but Detroit has done it multiple times.

Re: Dawg pound Pre Game thread
One of my best friends is a die hard browns fan.. always makes for a fun day when we play. I've rooted for Cleveland forever, been to games love the fans and the city but come Sunday all that means nothing. If we didn't get saddled with new years day we'd be driving down to the game but nonetheless, TV will have to suffice.
I've watched all their games. Great defense and killer run game. Watson has stunk, badly, but we will have to control the clock and move the chains in order to win this one. Low scoring, 23-13 dub. |

Re: Dawg pound Pre Game thread
Washington hasn’t won a game in over a month. I’d be lying if I said I felt good about this game.

Go Jets. We are rooting for Zach Wilson and than possibly Baker. Jesus. Hopefully we just win and Philly wins. Than Dallas will rest everyone and we can win out with no help. |

Same for me. I'd love to see a Commanders win but ... By the way, I'm not knocking the players; they have been giving a good effort. |
Re: Dawg pound Pre Game thread
Rivera should be fired if we lose to Cleveland at home.
|
Re: Dawg pound Pre Game thread
This is a sack up game. Code red.
There is no way we can lose to the Browns at home. |

Re: Dawg pound Pre Game thread

Re: Dawg pound Pre Game thread

Should be announced tomorrow but the fact that they’ve kept it quiet makes me think it’s Wentz Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I like how quickly you went from "we're out of it, rooting for you guys" to "death to the Commanders." At least you're polite about it though. |
Re: Dawg pound Pre Game thread
Man, can you imagine the offseason threads if Wentz comes in, leads us to the playoffs and even gets a playoff win?
This place is gonna be fucking nuts |

SHOCKED IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT

This place is gonna be fucking nuts
That's exactly what worries me. Great scenario for this year, but could f*ck up our offseason. Neither of the QB's to see the field this year are the solution. TH could demand silly money because of FA and Wentz isn't likely to want to renegotiate for year 2. We could end up losing a great backup in TH, overpaying Wentz to stay and spending another year wondering about Howell. I really want to see us in the playoffs but I also want to see what Howell can offer so we have a better idea going into the draft. |

13-3 at home with no Lamar Jackson. If the team can't get up to win this game against a bad team at home with everything on the line, that would be inexcusable. |
Re: Dawg pound Pre Game thread
Would we have to give up 2nd round pick instead of 3rd pick if Wentz plays from now on?

I think he needed to take 70% of the snaps this year for that to happen. Not possible now. |
Would we have to give up 2nd round pick instead of 3rd pick if Wentz plays from now on?
Nope, I don't think he'll come close to 70% of the overall snaps. Edit - Oops, this was already answered. |
Re: Dawg pound Pre Game thread
Then at this point, I don’t care who the QB is because we will lose the first game if we get into the playoffs. The most important thing for this season is Snyder actually sells the team.

I’d rather lose in the playoffs than not make it though. I’ve always thought that way. Yea the best part of this whole season was the DS news. Fuck that POS and I can’t wait to see new owners. Dan is a Fan that had mega $$ but knows nothing about football Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Yeah, with the Ravens' third string QB. |
Re: Dawg pound Pre Game thread
Again if we lose Sunday we don’t deserve the playoffs. Cleveland is playing for nothing and their HC is basically out the door.

Re: Dawg pound Pre Game thread
Well If Wentz starts upgrade Samuel in fantasy and downgrade McLaurin.

Re: Dawg pound Pre Game thread
My gut tells me Taylor will start with a very very short leash.. but truth is either one should be able to get it done …

Re: Dawg pound Pre Game thread
I want Wentz to start. There is no upside with Heinicke. We will continue to struggle to score with him in.
I think Wentz has a better chance of going on a little hot streak of playing within the offense and getting the ball out quickly. And he has the arm to take advantage. The shorter the routes the more important it is to get there quickly and hit the guy in stride to get YAC. Heinicke doesn't read the whole field, let alone quickly, and has a very limited arm. |
