Everything I’m reading says heavy Dline, Oline, and CB class in the first round…with the QBs going within the first 10

Who I want them to pick: CB Witherspoon or OL Skoronski

Who I think they will pick: OT Wright from Tenn

Sleeper pick: DB Branch from Alabama

Based on the value of a 1st round pick I'd like Broderick Jones or Deonte Banks, the latter is more realistic. I have no idea who they will pick, because I don't think they do. I will give credit to Mayhew and co, though I don't always like the positions they pick you cannot argue that the players aren't good.

For all the wishes to have kept Smith as GM, he did whiff on many picks, particularly OL in middle rounds.

Question is do they reshuffle the O line, Wright is a RT, do you move Wylie to RG and Cosmi to LG? Given his rise up the boards he will likely be gone when we pick, I have seen him rated above Broderick Jones, but I think there will be a run on OT starting at the end of the top 10

I think he would start at RT with Wylie going to LG and Cosmi staying at RG. Sure would be an upgrade over last year, especially if Roulier can stay healthy or they replace him with someone that can stay healthy at center.

Any tackle taken will be with the intention of them coming in and playing Left Tackle.

I see the top 6 Tackles pretty close depending on what you want but none of the tackles are top 10 guys…if that makes sense. Top tackles seem to have that mid first-early second grades.

Me too, scheme fit is important and after the William Jackson III debacle I am not sure I trust Ron and the front office to pick the right guy at CB

Definitely think we add a TE, especially with a Chiefs guy coming in.

No one they trade out of the 1st round for a lower non day one pick and future 1st round pick or picks.

OK they never do this under Snyder (and we are still under his guys) but wish they would.

As long as it is for future picks. Redskins have been so friggen short sited in their draft trade downs since Casserly left. Example when we traded down with the Jags from 10 to 17 a few years back we asked for and got a 2d round pick (which we wasted) another team the same year with similar trade down got a 1st the following season. We'd have been so much better off if we had asked and got a 1st the following year (top 5 pick).

I watched a lot of Wright from Tenn. I would be over the moon happy if he was the 16th pick. He is strong, athletic and mean and would immediately make the right side of the OL a threat to run over people with BRob behind him.

I think this draft is very weak in LT depth. To me, Skoronski is a future NFL G because he lacks the long arms to deal with edge rushers. He is an impressive technician and he plays hard, so he might be the top G in the draft. Paris Johnson, Jr. is a true LT but beyond him I don't feel comfortable with any others.

I like Wright very much as a RT but do we really want to draft a RT in Round 1? If so, I could go for that pick.

I'm not sure that Dalton Kincaid, TE Utah, is a first rounder but a lot of draft experts say he is so I could go for him, too. He is a talented Move TE who could fit in our new system.

I like Deonte Banks a lot. I would place him second behind Christian Gonzales. Has has all the athleticism and size you could want. He is also blazing fast. He's a cover corner who sticks like crazy glue and he's a very good tackler. I can't buy in to Witherspoon because I think he's too small and too slow to start in the NFL.

If they want a plug and play G then O'Cyrus Torrence is the man to pick.

So, I'm looking for one of Wright, Kincaid, Banks, or Torrence. Also, if Bijan Robinson is still available at 16 they may not be able to pass him up.

I hope Jones or Wright is there at 16. If they go CB Forbes is the guy (no way gonzalez or Witherspoon will be there. Forbes is better than Porter or Ringo and Banks), but if we can’t protect our quarterback nothing matters. Go with Jones or Wright if available. Maybe Schmitz or Torrence (BEAST) still there at 47. You get one of the tackles at 16 and Torrence at 47 and its Hogs 2.0.

Corner is the only other pressing need beside oline. Plenty of good tight ends available through the draft, and MLB’s too.

Wright played LT in 2021. He is a versatile beast.

I saw an online mock draft this morning where Christian Gonzales slipped to the Commanders at 16. No brainer if that were to happen!

I just hope one of their top LT prospects is on the board at 16. If not, I hope they trade back.

Trade back and acquire 2 x OL, 1 x CB, and 1 x TE / LB in the first three rounds.

I think they will probably do something we aren't expecting though.

This entire post is exactly how i feel. Especially the last part. We will take two running backs and a wide receiver by round 4.

Forbes could be an impact player who has a knack for creating turnovers. We need more of that. I wouldn't complain if we went with him.

I think it would be smart to trade Chase. There was no way we could keep both of them. I think Chase would be intriguing to a team that needs help with their pass rush. The trade could also signal a commitment to Sweat, who the coaches like more.

It sounds like they are going to shop him for sure which makes most sense. CY has a superstar appeal to him and I bet a team like Seattle or Buffalo would be all over that. Both need a stud pass rusher

When was the last time we had a ball hawk corner? I’m really excited for this guy especially after hearing Smoot talk him up on the Kevin Sheehan podcast this week.

As for the weight thing, he’ll be fine once he’s in a NFL training program.
