So I have a question. Its 24.95 per team? Then another 25 on top of that for the warpath to use as prizes. Or is it 24.95 for the league to start up and then 25 after that. Either way, I'm just confused as to if it costs 25 or a little more. Either way, I'm going to avange my second worst record from last year and win this league.

You have to pay Yahoo $24.95 to buy your team.

Then on top of that contribute $25 for the league pot.

Just a FYI, the draft date and time can be changed, but once leagues start forming the dates and times go quick. So if we need to change it will have to be very soon.

I tried to set a draft date late in the preseason so we'll have a better idea of how rosters and position battles are shaping up.

Yahoo plus I think really keeps people from joining. In order to make any money off the pay league you have to place 2nd or higher instead of breaking even at 4th you break even at 3rd. I seriously considered not playing, but seeing as how I was buying stat-tracker anyways I figured it was only an extra 15.

The whole idea is to have only serious players. If we don't want to do prize money we can drop that I guess.

I didn't think $50 would be too steep when I set it up, if it is let's drop the prize money. It's up to you guys, should we drop the prize money??

I just hate playing with owners who aren't 100% committed.

We didn't use the plus league last year, but I figured since most of us end up getting stat tracker then why not go for the plus league and get all the extras, plus the league winner gets a t-shirt or a plaque.

Maybe it's just early and people aren't thinking of fantasy yet. I was kinda surprised it was time to sign up again already when I got an email from Yahoo.

If you don't have $50 right off the bat don't worry, just buy your team now and as long as you get the $25 prize money in before the season starts I don't care.

I should be buying my team in the very near future, but I agree with daseal, why not make it so that 4th $50, at least that way 4th will get money that they paid back, and adjust accordingly...

As defending champion, I figured I'd better check in and let you guys know I'm planning on playing, but I've got to wait until my next paycheck hits my account, which isn't until the 24th of this month. Even then, I'll probably have to wait to give Matt the $25 for the prize pool. I'm just flat broke these days. It sucks not learning how to balance your finances until you're almost 30... :embarrass

Anyway, until I officially sign up on the Yahoo site, I guess my spot is fair game.

I'm still debating on playing. I'm going to give the analogy that I'm sure a lot of you remember about Street Fighter II when it first came out.

Remember when you thought you were the shit at it and knew ALL the ways to do a Hadouken and then some kid who never played came in and pushed buttons and beat your ass?

I may be that person who pushes the buttons in the money league this year. I'm thinking on it...

As defending still bitter than I lost in the finals to JoeCrisp second place finish....I also signed up to IMPROVE on my standing from last year and WIN the league this year!

I'm considering entering this, however according to the T&C's I wouldn't be eligible for the Yahoo! prizes if I won (longshot I know, but you never know!) ... unless of course the person in 2nd was kind enought to forward the prize if I paid for postage?
That, and I need to figure out Paypal as I've never used it!

I'm in! This sounds like it will be fun playing with you guys.

Has anyone here ever played on sandbox? If you guys plan on doing this every year they offer keeper leagues where you keep your 3 best players and you wouldn't have to form a new league each year. Plus, they offer money leagues so you wouldn't have mess with the paypal thing, it would be a one stop shop.

I play Yahoo and Sandbox every year and have found Sandbox to have more stragedy involved because you start defensive players also.

Just something to keep in mind for next year. Good Luck to all!
