Sam Howell will start if Jacoby Brissett can't go.

The secondary is pretty depleted now.

Quan Martin will play safety and nickel. Kam Curl and Terrell Burgess are also at safety.

And at corner, they have Tariq Castro-Fields and Emmanuel Forbes.

I don’t know about you but I’m tired of the fair weather fans rocking Niners gear. Most of the same people had rams crap on 2 years ago.

I wish I could hope for a win but we need a ticket to the QB lottery.

I was reading on Hogs Haven that since joining SF Chase is generating pressure on 13.3% of plays which was called a "great rate"

Espn says he has been solid top 15 edge rushers in pass rush win rate. It was the right move to trade him, but I think he feasts on Sunday.

It's tough to see this team being competitive against a SF team that has been one of the best all year and is coming off a whooping in front of a national audience on Christmas day. This has the potential of getting pretty ugly to be honest.

That said, if Purdy/Darnold throw five picks again, we will win.

He won't be lacking motivation for sure.

Anything can happen, but if Howell plays Chase gets at least 1. Even with his reduced sack rate Howell loves to draw out plays.

Idk what happens, but a win helps nothing long term. I think Ron is checked out which probably means Purdy gets back on track. We are a fantastic get-right team for other teams in a funk.

Snyder and Allen did this. Not us and not Harris. Kyle has no reason to feel animosity any more and I doubt he does. Likewise Trent (or Chase). And especially after this season as pretty much nobody related to the disasters that were their situations will be around any more.

The last time we played SF he had snarky words for us. Personally I don’t think it matters who runs a company if that company did you wrong you probably don’t have any love for them. I don’t know him so don’t know if he has animosity but if he did I don’t blame him. This franchise treated him poorly.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the score is even worse for us. The only way it isn’t is if Shanahan decides to rest guys late in the game (or after halftime).

Funny thing about these 2 teams. Purdy has 2 or 3 bad games and the worst he gets is 'system QB' thrown at him. SH has had more bad games and should be under the microscope now, but its funny how the team fortunes reflect heavily on the QB even if he's just part of the problem. Wonder how different the story would be if you swapped our D with the 49ers and/or coaching staffs.

Anyway, I reckon 35-20 score, 28-10 at the half (we get a late consolation TD in garbage time).

IMO, I suspect this is a tank move. They don't want Brissett to possibly win a game for us over the next two weeks.

It's also an indictment on Howell as they don't think he can win any more games this season. This is where Howell can prove any doubters wrong. Howell may not make it out without an injury over these next two weeks.

Brissett has far more command of the offense and what to do than Howell. That's been pretty evident the past two weeks. If Brissett had started the past two weeks then Washington probably are in a two game winning streak.

If you don't think the powers that be possibly didn't have their hands in not playing Brissett then I don't know what else to tell you.
