Around the League - Week 17
Kay Adams looking fine as fuck in that red dress. Wow!!

Man Russ throwing picks again

Re: Around the League - Week 17
Chiefs didn't cut it close today looking pretty dominant at Pittsburgh. The scary thing is they could be starting to warm up before the dance starts next month.
|
Re: Around the League - Week 17
Chargers crush the Patriots today. Harbaugh is quickly turning this team around. Guy is a super coach. Starting to wonder if Mayo's job could be on the line. 3-13 is pretty bad. I imagine he gets another year but you never know. Also big win for Cincy today.

Re: Around the League - Week 17
It was a 100% guarantee the Cardinals were going to find a way to lose that game.
It ends with Kyler throwing a 127 MPH fastball off of tattoo boy's head. |

I'd say, standard cardinals football, with a great catch by the Rams DB. If they ran the ball, they would have fumbled. It doesn't matter what they did, they were going to fuck it up. |
Re: Around the League - Week 17
We need to sign Tee Higgins. Kid completely balled out last night. Kid is big, tall, and has hands. Would be a great complement to McLaurin.

Re: Around the League - Week 17
Very tough for me to watch Cowboys-Eagles. Just can't stand either team. I'm trying to root for Dallas but not easy. Currently tied at 7. The Packers-Vikes game needs to hurry up.

Mike Brown is cheap, but I'm not sure he's so cheap as to remove Joe Burrow's #2 receiver and a key weapon in their offense. If coaching staff is running the show they'll franchise him if they can't afford him, then either resign him or trade him for some return. If Mike Brown is running the show he potentially walks because Mike Brown will only pay top dollar for a QB. Everyone else can suck an egg. We'll see. |
Re: Around the League - Week 17
Amazing how the Giants once again blew their draft position with a meaningless win. They went from the #1 pick to #4 now. Idiots.

Tom Pelissero
@TomPelissero The #Jets are scheduled to interview Ron Rivera for their head coaching job this week, per sources. In 13 seasons with Carolina and Washington, Rivera made the playoffs five times, including an appearance in Super Bowl 50. The first of many HC interviews to come in NYJ’s search. |

Ryan has been vocal about wanting the job, you could do a lot worse. At least he knows what he's walking into. The Jets simply aren't going to attract top notch coaches with that ownership situation. |

It was amazing. Really amazing. They can't win accept for when it's stupid of them to do so. Lock should have been benched for playing too well lol. Fake injury, get in there DeVito. Yesterday was an excellent day all around. |

They could do a lot worse than Rex Ryan lol. If Ryan can figure out how to hire a competent offensive coordinator he'd have a good staff. Plus he's already worked in that environment before. Johnson is the new Snyder, he's not gonna attract the cream of the coaching crop. Edit: +1 to what Matty said. |
Re: Around the League - Week 17
What a bad ass Week 18 game to determine NFC No. 1 seed. I'm assuming the Lions win tonight. 2 14-2 teams battling it out. Essentially playing a playoff game to avoid having to play a playoff game. That should be a fun one.

David Tepper wants you to hold onto a cold one for him. Actually I can imagine them toasting each other in a bar thinking how great they are.:food-smil |

Yeah I can't wait, what an epic showdown with so much on the line. I think the Vikings are peaking while the Lions are pretty beat up. Still should be a good battle. |

Still boggles my mind that Sam Darnold is leading a 14 win Vikings team. What a strange timeline we live in. |

Vikings have an interesting offseason ahead. It seems like it's either re-sign Darnold and trade McCarthy or let Darnold walk and start McCarthy. McCarthy isn't going to want to sit on the bench for years. Darnold will be way too expensive to sit. |

It would be a weird situation for Darnold too. To have the team keep a 1st round pick behind you. See Atlanta Falcons. |
Re: Around the League - Week 17
I don't know how you move on from Darnold at this point.

Green Bay did it twice with Rodgers sitting behind Favre and Love behind Rodgers. It's not a bad spot to be in. McCarthy is still an unknown. |

Re: Around the League - Week 17
What do you do at QB is you are the Niners and the Vikings?
Vikings: you pay Darnold or play/develop the QB? Niners: you paying Brock? Drafting a QB With both you have Cousins sitting there who will be cut and be in a Russel Wilson type deal. Low contract because Falcons will be paying him |

Low contract because Falcons will be paying him
McCarthy is basically going to be a rookie next year (and you have in under contract for 3 more years), so I think you pay Darnold and sit JJ. 49ers are probably going to pay Brock. Kirk at this stage in his career is either a bridge QB or an expensive back up. |
Re: Around the League - Week 17
Brock will get paid. He has had a good career so far and has almost won a SB
|
Re: Around the League - Week 17
Isn't he going to be a free backup if the Falcons release him?
|
Re: Around the League - Week 17
Isn't he going to be a free backup if the Falcons release him?
He will get league minimum for his years in the league, ala, Russell Wilson. So Falcons will pay him his full contract - league minimum. |
Re: Around the League - Week 17
I think Cousins is at the point where he may think about retirement. Anywhere he goes it's going to be the same situation as he had in Atl. He will have a young guy waiting to take over.
If I'm the 49ers I can't hand Purdy 50 million a year. I just can't do that. I'd go out and grab Cousins and hit the draft and FA. If they pay Purdy that is just bad business, like the Cowboys did w/ Dak. The Vikes have to pay Darnold but the question is how much and how much does he want? But no qestion he's earned a deal and a big raise. |
