I know winning will be near impossible next week
But just having another week of watching this awesome team is celebration enough |

Re: Playoff Victory - Postgame Thread
Jayden
Scary Terry Dyami fucking Brown Wagner Zane Gonzalez All game balls. We desperately need a lead back. I know our oline is not particularly good at run blocking but man B- Rob is just pedestrian at best. Detroit is going to be a real tough game but we won 13 games including a playoff game - if this dream ends now I will wake up with a grin from ear to ear. Leave nothing on the field next week. Nobody expected us to be anywhere near this game so lets see if there is any magic left before we continue with this “re-build”! |

Before that he was pushing the line and getting 2-4 yards after contact. He was a huge reason we were winning early in the year, I think. I don't know what happened....his injury, likely. But I agree....a premier back is a huge piece we need. |

You have to give TB's d line credit. They have some dogs on their front 7 and we could not block them. |
Re: Playoff Victory - Postgame Thread
So happy for this team right now wow. Quinn going for on 4th down every chance is borderline insane but shows you his style and belief in this team. We may see 0 fgs attempts between him and Campbell. After the Mayfield fumble, momentum totally changed in this game. Ekeler makes the offense better and Dyami Brown played very well. JD continues to be unbelievable. Kid is unreal.

Re: Playoff Victory - Postgame Thread
Brown is really becoming a serious threat opposite Terry. He is making himself some $. He's always had the ability.

Very evident how much more time Mayfield had to throw than Daniels. We need oline upgrades this offseason. Bowles knows how to field a defense also no doubt.

He just needed a real chance. Noah Brown getting hurt has given him more chances. You keep Dyami on this roster for the next few years. I want a bonafide 2 (Tee Higgins) but Dyami Brown still contributes and has talent.

Another game where Tress Way didn't have to work.

I'm glad Zane got his hair fixed just right. Great win, amazing year. It's been nice.

Re: Playoff Victory - Postgame Thread
Congratulations on your huge win! The last playoff win was in this same stadium I seen on TV. They were saying Brunel was the QB.

Forget about the defense. They have no shot. Our only hope is winning a shootout. |

The Lions struggled with the Bears once. They have lots of injuries on the defensive side of the ball. You guys can take them. |

Tonight was like the third piece of pie on Thanksgiving . . . almost more than you can absorb. I may just freeze it and gaze at it every so often in the spring and summer. What a season

Playoff Victory - Postgame Thread
One of the games the 15-2 Lions lost was to the Bucs (20-16 in week 2). Anything can happen.
I’ll also say this, yes we have won a lot of games in the last minute, including a couple that we might easily have lost. You know who else has had a season like that, the Chiefs. Good and well coached teams find ways to win those games. Finally, we are one of those teams. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Playoff Victory - Postgame Thread
Huge win despite Quinn. As previous poster stated he’s insane.I thought he shoulda took the points in the first to tie it at 3,and I didn’t like the call to go for it on fourth and five before the Tampa Bay fumble.Points are going to be a must against Detroit so I imagine we will see him continue to gamble, there’s a time and a place to go for it and Dan is screwing that up IMO, not only in this game, but there have been others where he should’ve went for it and didn’t.
I sound like a Debbie Downer lol,I know,I’m happy for a win |
Re: Playoff Victory - Postgame Thread
I said it before you guys have something special in Daniels! Congratulations that was a good game!

I see no reason at all the sign Higgins. |

Exactly this! Use the money other places JD5 makes receivers look good; we need a game breaking RB that make a bigger difference |

How crazy is it. That we are so confident with a rookie QB that if he has to drive down the field to win the game late in 4th quarter that we would all be shocked if he didn't. Very surreal |

that run on 4th and 1 in a playoff game in the final two minutes on the road; just jesus |
Re: Playoff Victory - Postgame Thread
this win was icing on the cake getting to play next weekend is just more icing on a cake that is already loaded with icing; there is no actual cake left its just fucking icing!!!

Re: Playoff Victory - Postgame Thread
Just finished watching the game (recording, UK time). Wow! Not as exciting a finish as the Hail Beary, but its right up there. Wonder if it'll get its own identity? The Tampa Bay Doink?
I like the way Brown stepped up, but I'm not ready to christen him the #2 yet. He's had 4 years and 1 game might make you a hero, it doesn't make you a star (just ask Timmy Smith). WR and OL are still a priority on O this offseason. I don't think anyone had a bad night, though if we have a prayer v Lions, the pass D has to step up, and the running game can't go missing for stretches of the game. I'm savouring this one for the next 6 days. Unfortunately, another 1AM game for me next week... |

I haven't posted in a long time, but just wanted to come on and say Hail to you all! We've been waiting for this one for way way too long. The job aint done, but enjoy the win!
EDIT: Holy Shit I just realized I joined the forum in 2006. This is the first playoff win as a WP member. Congrats boys! |

I sound like a Debbie Downer lol,I know,I’m happy for a win[/quote] It has been pointed out that they went for it on 4th instead of taking the FG 4 times. 2x they failed 2x they scored the TD. 4 FG = 12 points 2 TD = 14 points Considering that: - FGs aren't sure things (see doink winning FG) -This team is converting on 85% of their 4th down tries. This may just be the better strategy rather than a gamble |
Re: Playoff Victory - Postgame Thread
I'm not just saying this because he's our QB but folks JD5 is the best Rookie QB EVER in the history of football.
