Skins v Iggles Winner Goes to SB Pre-Game
I'm so syked for this game. Weather looks to be manageable for mid-January Philly. Both teams won their home game in our matchups. Washington is absolutely discounted in betting odds and especially in SB futures odds.
We know Saquon will get his runs. Likely 180yds with 2 TDs. Hurts may be hurt and his passing the past few weeks has been close to abysmal. They still have a top 5 defense, and they have seen JD5 twice, how they adjust will be a huge key to the game. As for Washington, it clearly starts with a healthy JD5. We have 4 rookies starting in the NFC Championship game: QB, LT, CB2(1?), DT. Our veteran leaders have been here before and they know it's no easy task to get back. Jimmy The Greek used to give his checkmarks, here are mine: Coaching - Washington QB - Washington RB - Philly our OL v their DL - Philly our DL v their OL - Tie Off Skill Players - Tie Def Backfield - Philly (close though) Intangibles - Washington This game will come down to the best prepared, and most effective, team. I believe that will be Washington. |
Re: Skins v Iggles Winner Goes to SB Pre-Game
It's going to be the same playbook as last week. We have to get some turnovers and not turn it over. Can we at least contain SaQuan? Can our o-line hold up? Can Lattimore hold up? Send some blitzes at Hurts. He looks like a below average QB right now. We can do this!!!!

Re: Skins v Iggles Winner Goes to SB Pre-Game
If our O Line can keep their D Line at bay we have a good chance.
|
Re: Skins v Iggles Winner Goes to SB Pre-Game
i hate this team more than i hate dallas anymore. i really hope we can pull this one off. i hate that is in philly and it pegs to be 30 degrees. i worry the most about our o-line and our DL vs theirs. Hurts is a one read RPO scramble qb and thats all he is. i will never get the hype around that dude. If i have to see that clown ass tush push shit i will not be shocked but just as appalled as i always am. Saquon HAS TO BE CONTAINED... that is a tough task but we have to lessen that blow. When you really try to make Hurts beat you.... and take away the quick slant that is 90% of that passing game - you have a chance.
They are a tough team, it will be a tough atmosphere and a challenge for our boys. This game is everything to me since i literally live in sheagles country. If we win i will be surprised simply due to our history and our luck..... but i will be more than fucking stoked when we do. |
Re: Skins v Iggles Winner Goes to SB Pre-Game
Are we really talking about being one win away from the Super Bowl?
Still trying to wrap my head around this |

Re: Skins v Iggles Winner Goes to SB Pre-Game
yea its something out of a friggin dream yall.... i want to win this game BAD... not just gonna be complacent with our huge success this year.

Re: Skins v Iggles Winner Goes to SB Pre-Game
We need to execute in the red zone. 7 not 3. Also we need to win the turnover battle. If we do those two things we should win. I can’t even believe still that I am discussing our chances to win and go to the superbowl.

Go ahead and blitz JD. I dare you. Robert Conrad dares you. Lol. |
Re: Skins v Iggles Winner Goes to SB Pre-Game
I am not as worried about Barkley as I am Jalen Carter. I expect Saquon to get yardage and 2 scores. But if the OL/JD5 can handle Carter, and we don't turnover the football, I expect our offense to score 31+. Hurts/Pickett can't manufacture the other 21 points they need to stay competitive.

As bad as it looked, I think Hurts is not a major injury because by now we would have heard some mri news if it was damaged.

Re: Skins v Iggles Winner Goes to SB Pre-Game
He's already struggled post concussion, and he looked bad after the injury Sunday. So it's not so much him being out as playing hurt. Remember how it affected JD? We need to force them to try to beat us through the air. They haven't been good passing since they played us as it is, if he isn't 100% they'll be worse. And if Lattimore can shut down Brown...

Re: Skins v Iggles Winner Goes to SB Pre-Game
Sell out to stop Saquon
Play our game on offense |

Re: Skins v Iggles Winner Goes to SB Pre-Game
This is a trip. Really wish we weren't playing the Eagles. But it will make winning as much more sweet as losing to them would make it more bitter.
What a wild ride. |
Re: Skins v Iggles Winner Goes to SB Pre-Game
We have to take down the Eagles at some point to be king of nfc east. Let’s get to work on that.

I appreciate your enthusiasm MEKS, but no one on our team has been complacent this year. And is not likely to be on Sunday. They WILL give it all and win or lose, they have given us a dream season. The next result won't change that. In the meantime, HTTR and f--- the Eagles. |
Re: Skins v Iggles Winner Goes to SB Pre-Game
Who would have thought this back in August?
|
Re: Skins v Iggles Winner Goes to SB Pre-Game
one other player I could see playing spoiler to our win is Goedert. Play action and drag routes to Goedert could be daggers.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk[/QUOTE] When I was asked who I wanted to play as between the Eagles or Rams, my response was that if we were guaranteed to win the next game, then the Eagles because beating them in their house to go to the SB would be incredible. So let’s do that. Their fans would go absolutely berserk. Heck, if we have a halftime lead they will boo their own team. Having said that, irrespective of the outcome, I’ve enjoyed football this year more than the last 33 years combined. And for that I am grateful. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Skins v Iggles Winner Goes to SB Pre-Game
The bummer is Hokeley Jr. is calling this game. Eagles are 6-0 when his crew calls and we're 2-3.

Re: Skins v Iggles Winner Goes to SB Pre-Game
The one thing we have done well the last two weeks is win the TO battle.
I hope the defense keeps that up. Getting those key turnovers when they matter. Against Philly JD has thrown 3 ints and we have lost 3 fumbles. It is definitely something I am hoping we see growth from him and the offense in round 3. |

If we scheme up to defeat their pass rush, particularly hold Carter in check, then we should have no turnovers; JD showed last week how solid he is when he can see when/where pressure is coming. And dial up the run game KK, take some pressure off the OL to protect. |
Re: Skins v Iggles Winner Goes to SB Pre-Game
I'm having a hard time seeing us containing Carter this Sunday, especially with Cosmi out. Cosmi is our best interior Oline and even he experienced some difficulty handling Carter. I'm afraid to see what would happen with Scott.

Containing Barkley on (their) offense and Carter on (their) defense are easily the 2 biggest priorities. We do both, I really like our odds. 1 of 2, favoring the Eagles, 0 of 2, we have no shot. |

He got called for multiple bs pi penalties last game. I could see KK dial up some new stuff for this one.

No doubt all his film study and preparation assists greatly here. Kid is dominating in the no huddle. Defenses don't have time to get ready. So pumped about this kid. 0 rookie qbs have ever been to a Super Bowl yet alone when one. Jayden needs to change that this year.

It's just the QB line, bolded, is such a difference and so impactful that I think you have to size it like this to really make the point. Philly has the advantage in so many spots, but not the one that matters most. |
Re: Skins v Iggles Winner Goes to SB Pre-Game
I see this one being lower scoring. Jalen Carter is going to disrupt a couple drives and cause us to punt. Hurts's knee is going to keep him from extending plays he normally would have; and Jon Allen and Marshon Lattimore rounding into form will disrupt the Eagles some.
Close in the 4th quarter is all I ask for, because JD5 will get it done. Ders 20 Eagles 16 |

i mean that graph just tells me the majority of the league goes no huddle about 20% of the time and Washington does it 3x as much A 0.2 positive EPA is great for JD5 but he seems like such an outlier on that graph is because of the 60% which is really a refection of KK play calling the title of the graph is most efficient QB in no huddle ; if the mean is the dotted red line then technically Darnold at 0.55 is the most efficient qb in no huddle this season but is very impressive JD5 is at a positive .2 doing it 60% of the time |
Re: Skins v Iggles Winner Goes to SB Pre-Game
If Hurts is limited that could be a big problem for them especially if they fall behind early.
