Football's Back: Preseason Game 1Thread
Our starter's aren't playing but Vrabel said they are playing theirs. Who are you excited to watch tonight. Score doesn't really matter but what are you expecting to see.
For me Bill and Lane stand out as offensive players. I have no clue what to expect from our second string D against their starters, but I doubt it's good 🫣 Sent from my SM-S711U using Tapatalk |

Go Sam Go. Sam’s the starting qb tonight.

Re: Football's Back: Preseason Game 1Thread
Pats score already.

Re: Football's Back: Preseason Game 1Thread
Chris Moore isn't making the team.
Hartman looking rough too. Sent from my SM-S711U using Tapatalk |
Re: Football's Back: Preseason Game 1Thread
Pretty ugly 1st quarter, but Amos and Bill both looking good

Re: Football's Back: Preseason Game 1Thread
might have an RB. other than that, been pretty sloppy.

Re: Football's Back: Preseason Game 1Thread
Connerly has held his own.

Re: Football's Back: Preseason Game 1Thread
Maybe we should consider a developmental qb with more upside than good looks.
I really dont like the look of our defense right now. I know most are backups but not stopping the run continues to be a problem. Maybe players, maybe scheme, maybe both. Maybe this is preseason and doesnt mean jack squat. I wish they played 2nd and 3rd string more. These 4th stringers are total unknows. Its like the are ok with just not really playing these games as valuable season preparations. They are just avoiding injuries, which is nice, but other teams may be more polished by game one. We shall see. |
Re: Football's Back: Preseason Game 1Thread
McNichols running hard, rodriguez with a drop
|
Re: Football's Back: Preseason Game 1Thread
At this point in the 3rd quarter, the only players that flashed are patriots
|
Re: Football's Back: Preseason Game 1Thread
I do think josh johnson is clearly our #3 qb and McNichols is still #3 RB. Bill was pretty good, but not yet. I didnt see jaylen lane pop enough. Almost zero separation from any wr. There were a few plays that popped early that need fulm reciew on the line, perhaps newton on the fumble. The oline seems to be settling in, but who knows who is playing in q3

Re: Football's Back: Preseason Game 1Thread
I am unimpressed with backup lbs, hampton was not good. Medrano is slow to be agressive on yhe run. Our defense has serious depth gaps, particularly against the run.

Re: Football's Back: Preseason Game 1Thread
I want to see yankoff at te
|
Re: Football's Back: Preseason Game 1Thread
Ignonogome has been quite disappointing
|
Re: Football's Back: Preseason Game 1Thread
The inability to force a punt is becoming an ingrained bad team habit, I dont like it, even if it doesnt count
|
Re: Football's Back: Preseason Game 1Thread
Well on 3rd and 7 johnson threw into quadruple coverage to yankoff, not even close, not a good read. Theyve got a ton if work to do, special teams coverage sucked
|
Re: Football's Back: Preseason Game 1Thread
This is an ass kicking, it is embarrassing
|
Re: Football's Back: Preseason Game 1Thread
Our team is soft, 3rd quarter 34-11
|
Re: Football's Back: Preseason Game 1Thread
Tyler owens injured, more coming unless we play harder
|
Re: Football's Back: Preseason Game 1Thread
I need a drink.
10 yard holding, just to give room for a 20 yard screen near the gial line with half assed effort on d. Wow, i would be livid at my players |

Re: Football's Back: Preseason Game 1Thread
18-48. Probably, need some better backups.
|
Re: Football's Back: Preseason Game 1Thread
so, the score doesn't matter, but it didn't seem like great football on our side. Not much else to say, felt like a chore to watch.

Wake me up for week one.

Re: Football's Back: Preseason Game 1Thread
preseason. more about individuals than score so here's what i saw:
johnson outplayed hartman and it wasn't close. Bill is the real deal; ran through tackles, caught at least one pass. Amos had tight legal coverage; Connerly held his own even with bad qb play Noah I and Tyler Owens are ready to go. Special teams rarely is right in the first preseason game but that was bad. Sinnott got a bad penalty and one catch Luke didn't flash oh and won $100 because new england's rookie Henderson scored a touchdown Sent from my SM-S711U using Tapatalk |

He runs slower than a turtle. |
Re: Football's Back: Preseason Game 1Thread
I also hope youre wrong. Didn't watch but disappointing to hear such negative reviews of the game and individual performances. Oh well, preseason
|
Re: Football's Back: Preseason Game 1Thread
Apparently Luke was battling an illness and they pulled him from the game.

Re: Football's Back: Preseason Game 1Thread
Very ugly game. Special teams were bad. Defense wasn't great. Hartman doesn't have a NFL arm. I'd be surprised if he's on the final roster. I know it's just the 1st preseason game, but this was rough. Vrabel had his boys ready and they looked like they were playing harder honestly. Henderson particularly impressed. I want to see a better effort next weekend, preseason or not.

Ceedee Lamb got run over by a ref and I can’t stop laughing |

Re: Football's Back: Preseason Game 1Thread
Ironically, had this hit occurred on the field, it probably would have been flagged (lamely) for unnecessary roughness.
|
Re: Football's Back: Preseason Game 1Thread
It's the Cowboys, when is it ever unnecessary?
