Jayden Daniels has Dislocated Elbow
That's a wrap for the 2025 season all.

Re: Jayden Daniels has Dislocated Elbow
Two questions came to mind when I saw that clip; 1) Why did he stick his arm out? Didn't anyone teach him to roll if going down like that? Protect yourself, you're not a fullback! And 2) why was he still in the game at that point? We were never scoring 24 points with less than 1/2 a quarter to go.

Having played football in high school, I understand the mentality of at least keeping up the appearance that you're still trying to win the game.
What I DON'T understand is why Dan Quinn or Kliff Kingsberry still had Jayden Daniels calling Quarterback running plays...all night long my Father-In-Law and I were saying that if the Washington Commanders Coaches kept having Jayden Daniels run on designed scrambles, he was going to get hurt! And Yes [emoji106] I do agree that this season is Over! |
Re: Jayden Daniels has Dislocated Elbow
Keep him out until we get smarter people in place around him. Man what a difference a year makes. [emoji1750]

Re: Jayden Daniels has Dislocated Elbow
I think we have to assess whether Jayden is going to have that 10-15 year career or is it going to be much shorter and under 10 years. Especially with us having to pay him in 2 years. I honestly think Jayden isn’t going to have a long career. Think a run in length similar to Andrew Luck’s run.
In the 2027 draft in the lower rounds, I’d draft a qb to groom as our backup and potential Jayden replacement; if his career is short. |
Re: Jayden Daniels has Dislocated Elbow
He is hurt again? Shocker
|
Re: Jayden Daniels has Dislocated Elbow
Availability is the best ability
|
Re: Jayden Daniels has Dislocated Elbow
Adam S said this morning that its not as bad as they thought but still he needs to sit the rest of the season. Lose out and get a top 5 pick

Re: Jayden Daniels has Dislocated Elbow
Could have been a lot worse that’s for sure

It is actually unbelievable that he didn’t break and tare multiple things. Like I said last night his arm must be made of 85 percent rubber. |
Re: Jayden Daniels has Dislocated Elbow
I do not under any circumstances want to see him back on the field this year
|
Re: Jayden Daniels has Dislocated Elbow
Nightmare season just got worse.

#2 is all you needed to say He had no business being in there Should have been yanked after the 3rd quarter |

But at that point you are risking your #1 player for no benefit. But definitely agree on the QB runs, and even DQ said it was a handoff or throw play, it wasn't set up for him to run. If its a designed run, i.e. he has blockers, or a broken pass play it's one thing, but that was neither. He himself has to be play smarter too... |
#2 is all you needed to say
He had no business being in there Should have been yanked after the 3rd quarter
I thought about that too, but then also thought about the Broncos scoring 33 points in the 4th quarter to win the other week. Of course, that was against the Giants, and Nix wasn't getting pressured on 60% of the offensive snaps. I know the Seattle D is formidable and underrated, but that was our starting OL out there. WTF? Was it scheme or were they just that much better? It seemed like a bit of both, as they brought pressure from the S, LB, and even CB positions. They can't have Bill blocking -- it's just not what he's built for. CRod and McNichols would likely do better in that role, and certainly Bates will, although I didn't notice him being used as a pass blocker all that much. |
Re: Jayden Daniels has Dislocated Elbow
I’d shut him down for the season. He’s likely to get hurt again, if he tries coming back later in the season.

Re: Jayden Daniels has Dislocated Elbow
Way should ask for his number back

lol i just firing everyone up but at this point you do have to question his longevity and durability same with joe b so much goes into being a long term super star , its crazy TB12 that is a amazing career, though i think he missed one season |
Re: Jayden Daniels has Dislocated Elbow
Joe Burr isn’t even a running QB, proof that sometimes injuries are just shit luck and part of a very physical and tough game.

Re: Jayden Daniels has Dislocated Elbow
This team needs a real stud RB with JD under center throwing quick passes, screens Play action .. ball control with NO designed QB runs!! if the play breaks down and he can take off and slide or go out of bounds then ok however it just seemed last night JD was looking to run first and it finally caught up to him.

I have a feeling it was because his sub-par receivers weren't open. Like at all. |
Re: Jayden Daniels has Dislocated Elbow
i agree .. however RB are out there and we have got a lot tied up in Our Oline , Chris Rod to me seems more of the RB we need, We can't keep using JD as our main rusher if we do then just draft another QB because his career is going to be very short ..

Then the next season with more tape available, McLaurin held out, while under contract. The whole season has always been off since then. Of course, that doesn't excuse the defense. But everything has felt off since the off-season. McLaurin went from one of my favorite players of all times to no-where near that anymore. |

And, OK, if he's going to try to use his legs to escape until he feels comfortable, I get it, but look after yourself. He's been running into trouble, whereas last year he seemed better able to keep himself safe. Whatever is going on in his head, when he comes back (assuming it's this season) the staff have to look honestly at him and ask whether he is in the right head space to play, whatever he says. Never mind his physical health (and I wouldn't risk him unless he's 95%+), is his head back in the game? If it's not, sit him and rebuild his confidence and ability to read the field. I don't think he's done and I think he can overcome this season, but the coaching staff have work to do here. My fear is they throw him back in there and he gets hurt worse or regresses more. |

Hasn't it been shown time and again that being hit at point of stepping into the pass is by far the biggest cause of QB injuries? Designed runs are way down on the list. |
