How did you let this happen?
When I left a couple of weeks ago, I asked you all to keep things under control. I said that I hoped to return to find Rogers and Cambpell signed to deals that they still liked and to find that the Rod Gardner situation had been resolved.
You got none of that done. AND you allowed "My Favorite Meathead" to go and start a meaningful relationship with the gendarmes in Florida. When Taylor steps on the field for the first time this year, I want the stadium DJ to play the theme from Cops. "Bad Boy ... Bad boy .. Wha'cha gonna do when they come for you..." I had a great time in Italy and Sicily. I doubt seriously that I will get the consulting gig that would allow me to go there about 4 or 5 times in the next two years at someone else's expense (chances are about 1 in 100) but I might get a sub-contract deal with whomever gets the big piece of cheese in this deal... |
Re: How did you let this happen?
welcome back, did you find out about taylor in Italy, he is infamous
|
Re: How did you let this happen?
About time you came back SC! We were definitely thinking of you as the Taylor drama was going down!
|
Re: How did you let this happen?
Begin venting...
....Now... :) |
Re: How did you let this happen?
SC,
Good to have you back and its good to hear you had a safe trip. BTW, the Gardner situation is all but resolved...he won't be wearing burgundy and gold. |
Re: How did you let this happen?
No, I did not hear about this fiasco in Italy. Newspapers there in English do not have much US sports coverage - mostly British cricket/soccer/horseracing - and CNN World News' sports coverage is sparse indeed. I picked up on this when I got home on Sunday night.
As an observation, the NFL is not very big in Italy/Sicily. I saw a lot more people wearing NBA and MLB gear than NFL stuff. I found only one store that offered NFL merchandise for sale and the only Redskins' thing in the store wasn't for sale; it was a #44 jersey with Riggins on it hanging on the wall as a display. THE BIGGEST US "sport" in terms of merchandising in Italy is the World Wrestling Entertainment company. Those shirts/hats/whatevers outmunber all the other US sports merchandise put together by about three-to-one. I have not really followed pro 'rasslin since Bruno Sammartinw was the champ in the 60s and 70s (yes I know about Hulk Hogan but I never followed any of the matches/story lines when he was champion), but now there seems to be some guy named John Cena and he is clearly the most popular rassler among Italians. The other two big stars seemed to be The Undertaker and Sone Cold Steve Austin. I actually remembet The Undertaker, but I would not know Steve Austin or John Cena from Abbot and Costello. I don't need to vent here, but might I ask - ever so humbly - for just a smidgen of affirmation here. Sean Taylor is a physical specimen who has the physical attributes to become a great football player some day - - - AND he is a world class MEATHEAD. I think I've been saying that for a while here and I think that events are beginning to tilt to my side of that assessment... |
Re: How did you let this happen?
yeah your right about that sc. glad to hear you had a safe trip. sean taylor could be great, or he could be o.j. simpson great, in the terms that he had a lot of potential but his criminal record precedes his football achievements.

Re: How did you let this happen?
Welcome back , SC. People were calling out in numbers for you when that Taylor story broke.

:thumb: I'll give you all the affirmation you'll ever want on that........definitely world class MEATHEAD. Welcome back SC. |
Re: How did you let this happen?
Just because someone pulls a gun on someone doesn't mean they are a bad person. ;)

Re: How did you let this happen?
Malcom:
You are absoultely right. Drawing a gun and leveling it on someone isn't nearly as bad as drawing a gun, leveling it on someone and then pulling the trigger! :) |
I'm going to be backpacking through Europe form August 4th through 28th. The funny thing in all of what you're saying is that I actually bought a Portis Jersey mainly to wear it over in Europe, well that and my Gardner Jersey does look out of style :p Most of my time will be spent in Italy and those iaaatalians will get a good dosage of Redskins gear for their viewing pleasure. |

Have you had a gun pulled on you by someone you don't know? |
Re: How did you let this happen?
Just because I steal ATVs doesn't make me a bad person. ;)
|
Re: How did you let this happen?
"Allegedly" steal ATVs. ;)
|
Re: How did you let this happen?
Nothing alleged about this. As soon as Taylor left, I took them.
I have them at home. Come get me #36. :) |
Re: How did you let this happen?
I was the second gunman on the grassy knoll.
The people Sean and his buddy chased were just a decoy. |
Re: How did you let this happen?
i am now officially on taylors side until i find out what happens at the arrraignment. Taylor didn't do it, his statement is completely accurate that he had no gun. he punched the man in self defense and the people did steal the ATVs. he brought friends with him because in a neighborhood like that he needed friends.
By the way i know this has been said but those people better have stolen them ATVs. Just think what they were thinking if they didn't, sean taylor pulling up and being like give me my ATVs. Think if that happened to you. Big ST pulls up and you go over to his denali and he be bobbing his head with his eyes closed and just saying give me my ATVs. and then pulls a nine on your ass and his friend pulls out an AK47. |

In a neighborhood like that, he needed the police if he wanted the ATVs back. And that's just like you Malcom.......:nono:if you could have just kept your greedy little hands off ST's stuff we wouldn't have to worry about any of this. ;) |
Re: How did you let this happen?
I'm already tearin' up trails in VA baby!
I sold the other one to KWII. |

Re: How did you let this happen?
I'll affirm that he's a world class meathead (aka young and dumb). I still say he's a baller on the field.
|
Re: How did you let this happen?
I love the word baller. It smells like napalm in the morning.
