Re: 2005 Interceptions Leader
Sean Taylor with 6. That is if he gets on the field. He had 3 last year so I think he can bring that # up if he gets to play. I sure hope he does. :madani:

He'll get on the field, but he won't get the 6! It will be Springs with 6, two years in a row of course! |
Re: 2005 Interceptions Leader
I feel Springs too. The man is the better coverage player we have on the team.
|
Re: 2005 Interceptions Leader
I'm surprised not to see Ade Jimoh on the list. This is going to be his break out season with seven interceptions and its going to be exciting watching him play.
|
Re: 2005 Interceptions Leader
Springs with 5-7
|
Re: 2005 Interceptions Leader
Gotta go with Springs. I'm thinking 6 or 7. He recently said that he's the healthiest he's been in years, so I see him having a better year than last year.
|
Re: 2005 Interceptions Leader
just to correct, sean taylor had 4 interceptions last season. but im going with shawn springs, watching him play last year was great. he will have 7 in my book.
|
Re: 2005 Interceptions Leader
Harris. The team's best corner rarely gets the most INTs - he sees the fewest throws. I also think the safeties are going to seee a lot of rotation - even Taylor. Rogers has health concerns that will slow him in training camp, which will in turn slow his progress onto the field.

Yea I just saw that on NFL .com. But Springs had 5 not 6 Ints. So For a rookie to have four Ints when he didn't start untill week 3. Well that tells me that he can get 2 more in his 2nd year since there is that so called rookie curve you know. :pi_lightb I like Shawn Springs too. But I think Taylor will lead the team in Ints. :dallas: Sep 19th '05 |

Good call. You ARE a friggin' genius. :biggthump |
Re: 2005 Interceptions Leader
i voted taylor (if he plays). he was tied for the most last year, this year he will dominate.

Hells ya! I'm going to have to ask...no, demand... that The Ade be added. :food-smil |
Re: 2005 Interceptions Leader
So would it be reasonable for me to say that you were the "other" vote?

Very astute. I'll re-vote once he's been added. |
Re: 2005 Interceptions Leader
I agree with Brud on this one. I think Harris will start a few more games than alot of us here think, especially with the new foot injury to Carlos Rogers. I think teams will tend to pick on Harris for that, and he should (hopefully) get a few picks off of that.
|
Re: 2005 Interceptions Leader
springs is my choice especially with the news of the injury to Rogers and uncertainty of Taylor's fate. but as with the sack leader thread, I beleive we could have a few guys pretty close to have the lead at the end of the season.

:food-smil[/QUOTE] My bad AJFC...the thread title should read "2005 Interceptions Leader...not named Ade Jimoh" because we all know this is just a battle for second place I think Rogers will be ready for the start of the season and he'll get tested early and often. His 3 interceptions in the month of September will help catapult him to the eventual team lead of 6. |
Re: 2005 Interceptions Leader
I think Harris has a good shot this year of being the number 2 cb for atleast a good portion of the year. This is a promotion for him and he will be back on the field more. He is used to this system and will benefit from playing the nickle for us last year.
|
Re: 2005 Interceptions Leader
I picked Taylor because he is going to be playing with a chip on his shoulder this year. I think he will be taking out some of his frustrations on the field.
|
Re: 2005 Interceptions Leader
got to say springs on this one coosnidering taylor may not play and rogers is injured

Re: 2005 Interceptions Leader
I also think that Ade will have so many return yards, that he will rival Portis for the most all-purpose yards on the team.
|
Re: 2005 Interceptions Leader
Taylor will be a ball hawk assuming he plays. Springs will probably see less throws as the clear #1 corner which will probably lower his interception totals as well. The guy with the picks is certainly not always the guy playing the best back there.
|
Re: 2005 Interceptions Leader
I'm going to say Rogers... he'll heal quickly, and as a DB or two goes down with nagging injuries, he'll get substantial play time and will contribute big time!
|
Re: 2005 Interceptions Leader
Taylor will have the most if he's not watching the games from a jail cell.
|
Re: 2005 Interceptions Leader
My vote's for Mr. Springs.........to put a bounce in our step..............
