Sean Taylor talks to the fans
It's just a little video where S.T. spoke to Larry Michaels for a couple minutes. they discussed a bit about his legal troubles, nothing much, and s.t. said he was glad to be back with the organization, and he's itching to get back to football.

Re: Sean Taylor talks to the fans
is anyone else having problems with this video? its 9am and i'll i can get in the first 30 seconds, and then the clip goes into communicating/buffering for 2-10minutes between 4 seconds of audio...
is their server just borked right now? cause two weeks ago i wasn't having this problem... |
Re: Sean Taylor talks to the fans
I LOVE hearing that. Hopefully he'll learn that if he wants his payday he'll have to put this behind him.
|
Re: Sean Taylor talks to the fans
I saw the video fine, my problem with it was the lack of questions that Larry Michael asked.. I know he's not going to grill him since it's a Redskins TV interview, but at least address the fact that fans were unhappy with him not being around and concerned about the off the field stuff.. Michael can't classify himself as a journalist anymore, he's just a reporter.
|
Re: Sean Taylor talks to the fans
I wouldn't expect Michael to rake him over the coals, that was just a fluff "interview" to show the fans hey, Taylor is in camp and he's ready to work.
If ST talks to the media today like he said he is going to, I expect he'll then face some more difficult questions, but don't expect anything hard hitting from Redskins.com. |
Re: Sean Taylor talks to the fans
I'm just glad to hear him talk! I totally forgot what his voice sounded like!! Its always good to hear something positive from one of our players.
|
Re: Sean Taylor talks to the fans
Me too. I also forgot what he looked like without a football uniform on. I only remember the pic of him looking silly.
|
Re: Sean Taylor talks to the fans
He is still a thug. Disrespecting the Coach, being in the wrong place being his own policeman. He states he justs wants to win an be a good teammate. THEN SHOW UP TO OTA's and Volunterary workouts. Need to see some great play to make up for his disruption to the TEAM.

Re: Sean Taylor talks to the fans
the guys a ZERO in my book. Did you see the media bit on redskins.com with the press.
that's the offseason... F#$Q idiot:Flush: |
Re: Sean Taylor talks to the fans
Did I miss something?

Re: Sean Taylor talks to the fans
s.t. may have done some pretty idiotic things in the past, but it's the past. forgive and forget, at least when the legal troubles are gone. he's trying to make up for it. i mean, just imagine if he was still holding out because he wanted a new contract. besides, you guys are practically saying what he does on the field is worthless, and that we don't need him.
|
Re: Sean Taylor talks to the fans
He's got a long way to go to win back some fans, including this one, but I hope he does.

That's what I'm saying....he should feel fortunate/grateful to wear the jersey...not basically say, "I'll do what I want in the offseason." He's got a long way to go to make up with this fan... |

I agree CRT3, yes, he could have shown respect by at least returning Gibb's phone calls............. |
Re: Sean Taylor talks to the fans
I see what you guys are saying and I agree to some extent. He is a thug. He seems arrogant, but as long as it doesn't have an effect on the team or his on the field preformance, I dont care and I'm happy to have the guy on our team. He isn't holding out or badmouthing the organizaiton or coaches or his teammates like some players tend to do and until that happens all I have to say is, "Welcome back to the Redskins S.T. We're glad that our backfield is thuggin again this year... and if you get the chance to pop T.O. in his mouth again, please take it."
|
Re: Sean Taylor talks to the fans
ST and the offseason is water under the bridge to me right now, and I'm sure it is to his teammates and coaches as well. I'm sure there will be those people that will hold this over his head the rest of his career, but to me if he goes out and plays ball the way he's capable of that's all I really care about right now.
|
Re: Sean Taylor talks to the fans
I mean at least he wasn't like Ricky.
|
Re: Sean Taylor talks to the fans
Wow, you guys shock me...."Zero" and "Thug"....interesting.....
Man, who are we to judge?? |
Re: Sean Taylor talks to the fans
Oh I can judge....
Baby 'cause I'm a thug... |
Re: Sean Taylor talks to the fans
That's fine....no problem if you're a thug. But tell me, how many times have you hung with Mr. Taylor?
|
Re: Sean Taylor talks to the fans
All Day Every Day...
Baby cause I'm a thug... |
Re: Sean Taylor talks to the fans
:):)
|
Re: Sean Taylor talks to the fans
My friend has hung with him many times playing basketball in Miami and he AND his friends are thugs, BUT he said he was a really nice guy. Lots of funny pics I wish I could get ahold of with Sean DESTROYING this guy in bball.
|
Re: Sean Taylor talks to the fans
Listen I'm actually complimenting the guy when I call him a thug. I'd very much like him to be a thug. Riggo was the ultimate thug. Hell the guy still is. He's a hall of famer and one of the most beloved redskins. I'm a huge ST fan, and if I'm ever negative about him, its only because I want him to be here and not in prison. I mean I like Angola Football, but its just not the same.
Oh and all the baby cause I'm a thug business... those are lyrics to a song that obviously outlived its popularity among the masses. I'm not really a thug, but i might pull a gun on someone for less than stealing a 4wheeler. No harm no foul? |
Re: Sean Taylor talks to the fans
It's all good, baby!
|
Re: Sean Taylor talks to the fans
Now where was I... you made me break character... ooh yeahh...
Baby cause I'm a Thug... |
Re: Sean Taylor talks to the fans
No, thug to me means he is a low life piece of scum. There is no denying that some of the things he has done over the past year are totally immature. I sincerely hope that he will change but untill then he is a thug. Disrespecting Gibbs is not cool. Gibbs has dealt with all kinds of players with attitudes and egos and when the end of the day comes he is respected by those guys cause he deals with them one on one and as a man. Taylor is burning that bridge.
|
Re: Sean Taylor talks to the fans
Taylor is burning that bridge.
Let's let Gibbs decide what bridges are being burned, if any. |
Re: Sean Taylor talks to the fans
Yeah, I wouldn't think that Taylor has burned any bridges. He showed up when he was supposed to. Let's not forget that even though he "should" have been at the OTAs, he was not required. He's definitely done some immature things and just like Matty said, if he shows up and plays, it's water under the bridge.
If he continues to be a force for years to come and needs to live in Miami in the offseason to do it, so be it. Not every player is the same and some just need that time. |
Re: Sean Taylor talks to the fans
Matty as always this is just my opinion
|
Re: Sean Taylor talks to the fans
I'm just glad Taylor's back and he's not all withdrawn from the team and coaches. He's going to be putting some serious hurting on people this year, and he's going to be wearing a Skin's jersey while doing it - that's all I care about. I don't care if he's thug or not, as long as Gibb's and company are OK with him.
|
Re: Sean Taylor talks to the fans
He's back end of story. Once he is cleared of his charges this off season will be forgotten. I still like S.T.
If Gibbs and the rest of the team have no problem with him why in the hell should I? Go S.T.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want six picks and some monster hits from #36 uh I mean #21 this year. :dallas: :httr: |
Re: Sean Taylor talks to the fans
Damn. I thought you said six PACKS. I'd love a six pack. I've been dieting this week and I'm in withdrawal from real food and adult beverages, so therefore I'm getting sloppy at my friend's going away party this Thursday.

Re: Sean Taylor talks to the fans
Matty as always this is just my opinion
It's just mine too, but in the end only one opinion really counts, and it's not ours! ;) |
Re: Sean Taylor talks to the fans
I don't believe a word this maniac says and I don't really care. I'd just like to see him on the field where he belongs.
Whoever stole his ATV should get a big bonus from Mr.Snyder. Considering no one got murdered I think this whole felony thing was a blessing. Maybe it'll wake this kid up. Probably not, but at least he lost all the leverage he was gonna use during his sure-to-be lengthy holdout. |
Re: Sean Taylor talks to the fans
Yup and it sounds like he's trying to do a true image turnaround.
|
Re: Sean Taylor talks to the fans
First of all I'm new here and would like to say hello. I must say some of you guys seem very judgemental towards people and not willing to give others a second chance.
Yes it was wrong to miss OTA's and not call his coach but that does not make him a bad human being just misguided. Those of you that say that he lost you as a fan I'm sure he's crying and heartbroken about people he doesn't know not liking him. |
Re: Sean Taylor talks to the fans
Man, the new people on here are quick to take shots recently.
But otherwise, WEEEEELCOME. |
