Sportsline.com NFC East overview
Man, they really laid into us, someone should keep this, so we can read it and laugh at the end of the year! According to them, now Lavar is going to leave?

Re: Sportsline.com NFC East overview
He also listed Freddie Mitchell as key player lost for Philly. Thats ridiculous Mitchell sucked and was a media whore. Worse than T.O. is media whore with a fraction of the talent of T.O. Unfortunately I agree with the coles issue, it was just so costly to get rid of him.

Re: Sportsline.com NFC East overview
Yeah, pretty rough read. I love all this national negativity. It will make it all the sweeter when we make the playoffs this year.

Re: Sportsline.com NFC East overview
He listed QB Mike McMahon as a key addition for the Eagles. I guess that's true. With something as important as a clipboard, you shouldn't be forced to rely on a rookie.
He also said that he can't see any way the Eagles miss the playoffs. So, according to him, no amount of team discord, injuries, poor play, poor officiating, and inclement weather can derail the Eagles. That what I call quality analysis. Or "mailing it in". It's either "quality analysis" or "mailing it in". Definitely. |

That is frickin awesome Brudlee...LOL |
Re: Sportsline.com NFC East overview
I think its a pretty accurate assessment of the Redskins and their chances. He hit the nail on the head about this being an organization that does not seem to have a plan.
As for the LaVar thing, while I doubt he will go (due to his cap hit) I do suspect there is lingering resentment over the bonus money controversy and if that is not resolved to LAs satisfaction then I could see a scenario where he requests a trade. |
Re: Sportsline.com NFC East overview
Who realy cares anymore what these guys say. Its like watching the news every station is saying the same thing, from news off the AP. I think in football they now have the AFP (The Associate Football Press).

I agree he's way overpaid. |

Word. Cutting LA or trading LA, the effect on the cap is the same. It's not happening. |
Re: Sportsline.com NFC East overview
"Won't go to the playoffs if... I can't foresee a scenario. Nobody is better at climbing mountains than the Eagles, and that's a credit to the organization, the players and coach Andy Reid."
*sucking sounds in the Andy Reid's changing room from Clark Judge* Where did he make this bullshit up? What kind of adversity have the Eagles had prior to this year? Oh NO! They have one of the better QBs in the league... Pardon me while I throw up to the "previous plight" of the Philadephia Eagles organization. Don't give me that shit when the season hasn't even started and this is the only HINT I've seen of adversity in years from the Eagles. |
Re: Sportsline.com NFC East overview
Also, how was Dallas any better offensively than we were last season? I seem to recall them having a similar record as us and no one is calling their offense anemic. Yes, they were in the top half in yardage, but look at the stats on points per game they scored.
Doesn't look too "l33t" to me. |
Re: Sportsline.com NFC East overview
Anyone who believes a Ninny reporter dork has a clue, should relax a little. If the reporters and columnists had any REAL talent, they would be playing or coaching, instead of pecking away at a keyboard in a cubicle somewhere. Anyone who thinks 3-time Superbowl Champion Coach Gibbs does NOT have (and will execute it when appropriate) a plan, is rather dull-witted! The skins are improved, and the signs have been in the pre-season games. Though not stellar yet, give them a couple of weeks and all starters in! It's going to be a much improved year
|
Re: Sportsline.com NFC East overview
I guess I better get off my keyboard and start playing... ;)

Re: Sportsline.com NFC East overview
While I don't agree with Judges' assessment, I do think we will struggle early on due to the nagging injuries and incosistency at the qb position. The defense is good, but one corner down and we are in deep shit. I still think this is a playoff team, but adversity will reign early on. Hopefully the team will be that, a team, and overcome the adversity of a slack ass offense and win three or four of those 7 pt ball games.

Re: Sportsline.com NFC East overview
Be glad. Let everyone underestimate us. This is fine by me. I wouldn't be surprised if we get a few close wins in the first half of the year because other teams don't really get fired up against us. No doubt fans of Seatle, SD, Oakland, KC, etc have all penciled in wins against us and are thinking about division rivals and so on. Mark my words: we are going to "steal" a few games this year, until we get that "sleeper team" thing going.
So to all the hacks and haters out there: keep it coming! You are our fifth column, our "13th man" this year. PS Wonder how big the chip on the shoulders of the skins is getting by now? These guys read the papers as well. They must be pissed. |

Freddie Mitchell as a key loss....... :laughing- that just made my day......... |
Re: Sportsline.com NFC East overview
Isn't this the same site that has Peter King .......... 'nuff said.
The Eagles have been in the playoffs and went to the Super Bowl, not because they are such a fantastic team........it's due to the lack of competition in the NFC East and the NFC in general, but I think times they are a changing........ Cryboys.......weak o line and brittle, immobile QB, and relying on youngsters on a defense that was bad last year.....one rookie on whom they are counting on that will be out a month. Gints-an inexperienced QB......an aging RB and aging Strahan who Jansen manhandled..guess what......he's back!!! I do agree with him on one point with the Redskins: "Will go to the playoffs if ... if they ever figure out the passing game. Don't worry about the defense. Coordinator Gregg Williams has that covered. " |
Re: Sportsline.com NFC East overview
Maybe Arrington can go ahead and let Bledsoe know he should be out of the game.
And about the "Key Losses" this genius just looked at each player that left and considered them "Key Losses". As was mentioned above, talk about MAILING IT IN. |
Re: Sportsline.com NFC East overview
clark judge can't stop riding andy reid's dick enough to type a decent article. there is no way i could see the eagles missing the playoffs this year. no way, with such a great offseason, everyone's back, they have an awesome quarterback, no amount of bad play, injuries, turnovers, there simply isn't a way. I'm just gonna sit here and pretend that nothing bad happened between T.O. and Donovan. I'm also gonna pretend like Freddie Mitchell is a key loss, because as we all know, he backs up his mouth with his game.

Re: Sportsline.com NFC East overview
It's a great article. The guy obviously has a list of player changes for all the teams and a few copies of last football seasons sports illustrated. With a little cut and paste... "presto" instant insight!
We are all stupider for having read it. |
Re: Sportsline.com NFC East overview
they have a poll on nfl sportsline that says which nfc east team is most likely to overtake the eagles this season. The results are like this:
61.1% - dallas cowboys 20.9% - new york giants 17.9% - washington redskins that just goes to show that nobody cares about the redskins this season. |

Re: Sportsline.com NFC East overview
I like the fact the Skins are flying low on the radar headed into this season.
Soon we'll see if all the negativity is justified or not. |

Your right, Red Robert, we did make the playoffs... but people continue to hate on us anyway. |
Re: Sportsline.com NFC East overview
holy cap this article was so far off....eagles are so good at overcoming adversity, and the redskins are so dumb to let coles, smoot, and pierce go
