NO/NYG game moved to MNF
Alright, heres the deal. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/8809644
So basically my question is this.... for us in parts of NY and NYC and Lou and Gulf Coast areas...what game are we going to get to see? Will the Redskins be avalible on ESPN? |
Re: NO/NYG game moved to MNF
CBS Sportsline said that in NY area, it will stay Giants/Saints on ABC until the end, then switch over to the Skins.....
Does anyone know if you'll be able to catch the entire skins game on direct TV at a sports bar??? or is monday night different?? |

Re: NO/NYG game moved to MNF
So being in NY I'm gonna have to wait until the Giants-Saints are over?
Mother fu@#er |
Re: NO/NYG game moved to MNF
OK so the Skins are the local team for me, should I be able to see the whole game on ABC?
|
Re: NO/NYG game moved to MNF
And the Giants get an extra home game?
What's up with this? |
Re: NO/NYG game moved to MNF
I dont understand. The ENTIRE Redskins/Cowboys game should be broadcast on ESPN in these areas until the Giants/Saints game is complete. I dont understand why they would do it any differently.

Mother fu@#er
By the time I'm done with ABC, they might play the game in your f'n backyard. |
Re: NO/NYG game moved to MNF
Why can't they just show one on ESPN and one on ABC?
Why do I get stuck watching the freakin' Giants and Saints? :frusty: I think we need to flood the NFL with complaints. |

Where did you send a complaint to? |
Re: NO/NYG game moved to MNF
I send a complaint into ABC, because they control both ESPN and ABC. I'm looking for the contact info to the NFL.
I asked in my complaint if the Redskins/Cowboys would be shown in our areas on ESPN until the Giants/Saints game was over. Thats really the only thing that would make some sense to me. |

No pun intended I'm sure...I think that with ESPN2 and even ABC Family, there's no reason why everyone in the country can't see both games in their entirety And it is bull that the Giants get an extra home game. And even more bull is how the Saints owner is manipulating this tragedy to get the Saints moved permanently |
Re: NO/NYG game moved to MNF
I just sent a complaint via NFL.com
http://www.nfl.com/help/emailtech Please, everyone take a second and request that both games be shown. It sure can't hurt to voice our displeasure. |

Re: NO/NYG game moved to MNF
Here's my question.....
If ESPN is going to cater to the ENTIRE NATION and play the Saints/Giants game on ESPN after the Redskins game starts.....WHY THE HELL isnt ESPN going to show the Redskins/Cowboys game in markets that the Saints/Giants game is going to be continued on ABC?? It makes ZERO sense to me. I'm hoping that they just "forgot" to put that in these press releases. I'm about to freaking flip out. |

Re: NO/NYG game moved to MNF
Wow. What a f-ed up situation. I live in NYC. I was planning to go to a bar for fun anyway, but I wonder if the bars will be able to get the game at all??? If they only have the NFL package, I wonder what will happen. Damn. I will literally take a bus down to DC just to watch the game in a bar!!!
Ugh. |
Re: NO/NYG game moved to MNF
So being in NY I'm gonna have to wait until the Giants-Saints are over?
Mother fu@#er
AGREED. F**ked by the Giants again. Not to mention I can't even get ESPN in this 3rd world country that I live in. I gotta get out of this market... |
Re: NO/NYG game moved to MNF
I know the Saints lost their stadium, we all saw the coverage of them meeting the people who lost their things in the hurricane. That's very great of them to do.
BUT I WANT MY FOOTBALL GAME ON MONDAY NIGHT. That "story line" won't make any extra watch it besides people who are fucking pissed because they can't watch the Skins or EVEN the Cowboys. |
Re: NO/NYG game moved to MNF
well for those of us that don't live on the gulf coast and new york, we will be seeing the redskins and cowboys on 9:00 on abc. the saints - giants game will start at 7:30, then at 9:00 it's being transferred to espn for those of us that don't live in the aforementioned areas. if you do live in one of those areas, you will be seeing saints - giants until that game is over, at which point it will switch to the redskins - cowboys.

Why wouldnt we get the Skins/Cowboys game on ESPN till the giants/saints game is done? I dont understand this logic at all. |
Re: NO/NYG game moved to MNF
It's a ratings move. While we may be able to pile up 1,000 or more complaints, they will probably get 10 or 20 times that in letters of approval from NY fans. Give a special AND extra MNF airing in NY, the largest market in the U.S.
You get the sympathy viewer, you get the NY viewer and you get national coverage for all of the displaced families... that turns into straight $$$ for ABC. I do agree though, they should move the regular broadcast to ESPN in NY and the gulf coast. |
Re: NO/NYG game moved to MNF
I don't know why the don't just move the saints - giants game to espn for the whole night, then let everyone see the skins - cowboys game for the whole night.
|
Re: NO/NYG game moved to MNF
Man I hope Deuce and the Saints bury those lucky-ass, punk-ass bitch Giants. Getting an extra home game is complete bullshit. I hope the Saints get all emotional and bring the pain on behalf of the people of New Orleans, and knock Jeremy Shockey's chest off. I f'ing hate those mother f'ers.
|
Re: NO/NYG game moved to MNF
So which broadcast team is doing which game?
|
Re: NO/NYG game moved to MNF
So it seems like for those of us in the NY area at 9pm we are going to get Giants Saints on ABC and Giants Saints on ESPN????? How in the world does that make any fuc*ing sense?????? I have the Direct TV Sunday ticket...I paid to see all these fu*ing games...this is so stupid.
Not to mention what an outrage it is to have the Giants with 9 home games. If the NFL wants to raise money for New Orleans that can find other ways to do it than to disturb the competitive balance of a division race. What a fu*king horrible decision! If Tagliabue wants to give a couple million dollars of ticket revenue to New Orleans he should reach into the NFL's billion dollar pockets and give it to them in a way that doesn't give the Giants an unfair advantage and screw selected fans out of seeing a Monday night football game! |
Re: NO/NYG game moved to MNF
Better yet, this is the # for NFL Corporate HQ, give them a buzz and ask for public relations and ask them why both games can't be shown in all markets.
