No QB bashing in this thread please!

What do you think the score will be in the Monday night game against Dallas?

I'm going with:
Skins - 20
Dallas - 14

I think that Gibbs finds a way to squeeze 20 points out of our offense and the defense befuddles Bledsoes' second coming.

I think it is going to be a defensive grudge match with both quarterbacks coming under extremely heavy pressure. I don't think either offense will look great (a reflection of our teams' defenses) or dreadful. Because we are playing them on a Monday night game, it is playing in Dallas, like it or not the Cowboys have owned us for about ten years, and Joe Gibbs does not have the best record against Parcellls, I'm going to say Cowboys 17, Redskins 14. Regardless, I will be cheering the Redskins on at my local sports bar like it is the Super Bowl and we're winning 91-0.

I say 28-17 Washington. Dallas will be able to put together a couple drives, but their defense will have problems with our Portis/Betts running game.

2 TDs and 1 INT from Brunnel, no fumbles. (Patten and Royal)
2 TDs from Portis.
3-4 Sacks on Bledsoe and 2 INTs
J Jones gets held to 60-70 yds

1st timmer here. I see it Skins 24 and the girls 13. Portis Scores, Cooley scores and Taylor takes one all the way. Girls get a TD on offensive turnover, field goal on special team blunder and another on short field given up on a 3 and out.

Dallas has a chance to tie at the end and they miss a 56 yard field goal.

CP - 125 yards 1 TD

I have no confidence in Brunell, just as I had little to none in Ramsey. The defense can only hold the Cowboys in check for so long.

Portis still rushes well, 90 yards, but Brunell is sacked several times, including 2 crucial times in the Red Zone. Novak misses at least one.





BTW - I certainly hope I'm blowing it out my arse, and that the Skins cruise past the Cowpukes.

I hate to do this, but ... even at the risk of being a called a "[I]so-called fan[/I]", here's my prediction:

Cowboys 27
Redskins 6

The 'boys put 28 points on a good Charger defense in San Diego, while we were good for 9 against the Bears with home field advantage.

Last year, with Testaverde at QB, the Cowboys had no problem getting 21 points through the air with almost no running game, and somehow Dallas always seems to be able to stuff our run whether it's Stephen Davis or Clinton Portis, who last year, was a non-factor.

To me, it doesn't look good for the Skins at all.

Since Dallas looked great in week 1 & Bledsoe was named the week 1 MVP with 3 td's I predict the score with end up:

Dallas: 20 WINNER
vs
Redskins: 17 LOSER

Explaination:
Until the Skins prove they can score points (how about 1 TD) & the QB situation has settled in, I can not give the Skins a 'W' just because I'm a Skins Fan.

Lets be honest & not sided here guys.

I honestly don't see it being as low scoring as I stated, I'm just erring on the side of caution.

I really don't think Dallas's D is really anything to worry about provided Brunell can be as sharp as he was preseason. I truly think that if we play what we are capable of playing, the score will be more like 28-3 maybe.

i believe that's saying dallas is a 6 point favorite and the over/under is at 36... take the under, and take the over with oakland, all year long.

24 - 10 in favor of the Redskins.

Offense runs all day to control the clock, D comes up big on pressure turnovers and converts at least 2 for TD's in the first half. Crowd is quiet, Bledsoe is out by the half.

Our D looks like the most terrifying thing on a football field, EVER.
