How many got teary eyed??
I admit it I couldn't help it. I was laughing uncontrollably and yeah, I got a little misty. I know it was wierd, but I didnt care. I was just wondering if anyone else got that emotional after that game.
|
Re: How many got teary eyed??
I wasn't teary-eyed, but I was screaming like a caveman, pounding my living room walls, and otherwise going ape shit after Moss's second touchdown.

Re: How many got teary eyed??
i slaughtered 30 wild goats to pay hommage for the win

Re: How many got teary eyed??
Screaming during the game...got a little misty seeing Gibbs reaction though.
|
Re: How many got teary eyed??
Even though Gibbs is worth many millions. I felt sorry for him. He was taking heat all the time. QB decisions, not winning 2 games in a row last season, etc. Though I never personally met Joe Gibbs I do feel like I know him a little. I grew up in the DC area during his entire 1st tenure. He is a good man and cares about the fans. Ofcourse he makes money and tries to win, but he's a real person. Great to see him so happy last night. He deserves it. I feel for his family and his wife as they've been dragged back into the cutthroat NFL and this time with Dan Snyder as Skins owner. Didn't get misty, but really feels good to watch a good man get a little bit of goodness back. Gibbs has done so much for so many. And know he beats the Cowboys at home. Congrats Gibbs.

:laughing2 I didn't get teary eyed, but I was so damn excited that I got close to crying tears of joy. I was probably the happiest to see Joe Gibbs on the sidelines getting excited and surrounded by players. I don't always agree with his decisions, but I love the man and what he has done for our team and city. If there is anyone who deserves to win, especially against Dallas, it is Joe Gibbs. |
Re: How many got teary eyed??
I was pretty close to tears I admit
|
Re: How many got teary eyed??
Pretty fekin happy. Got the chills when I heard Gibbs say that true Redskin fans stayed up to watch the WHOLE game. Guess this reaffirms that I am a TRUE FREKIN FAN. Nopw that was awsome

Re: How many got teary eyed??
this win definitely reconfirmed to Gibbs why he's is back doing this at all. it was moving (to say the least) to see the players reach deep deep down when all was lost and win this game FOR him. nothing was more needed for the franchise right now.
that said, seeing Gibbs freshly out of what must've been a very emotional locker room sent chills down my spine. chills i haven't gotten around this franchise since that game in RFK when the entire crowd rained yellow seats onto the field. |
Re: How many got teary eyed??
I was just really excited and jumping up and down cheering......until I saw Gibbs celebrating........that brought a few tears.
There's been a lot of talk about this whole QB controversy and where loyalties lie this past week.......and it's been very frustrating for me having to defend myself simply because I questioned/disagreed with Gibbs's decision. But the fact is I love Joe Gibbs.......when I saw the smile on his face, my own joy didn't even matter.....all I could think about was how happy I was for Joe Gibbs and how happy he must have been at that moment in time to have come back to lead this team. I would have held it together if not for that shot. The point is disagreeing with someone doesn't mean you don't support them or like them anymore. I love my parents and my wife with all my heart, but I'd be a liar if I said that I never disagreed with them or thought that they were wrong for a decision they made. The fact that I believed we had the wrong QB in the game for 56 minutes on Monday didn't take away from the pure emotion and joy I had in the final minute or two........and I've probably never felt happier for our coach. |
Re: How many got teary eyed??
Im still in shock and its wednesday. I loved Snyders reaction though.

I yelled so loud that I woke up my wife and I was out back in a detached garage.

Re: How many got teary eyed??
I'm still in shock. I still can't believe those 2 passes really happened. That stuff borders on magical and the skins haven't been magical since Gibbs first time around.

Re: How many got teary eyed??
Ok, Gibbs hugging everyone made me tear-up. But that was after Synder's reaction to the 2nd Moss TD actually cracked me up. He was like a school boy whose high school team just won the State Championship. If it had not of been 11:45pm (I live in the central time zone) and I would have woke up my wife and 2 small kids, I would have been jumping up and down and screaming with him. Instead I just stood there, (yes I stood the last 5 minutes of the game) in awe at what had just happened. I was in shock. (as were millions of Cowboys fans. Yeah baby!) I kept watching the TV for Flags or something, saying to myself, that could not have just happened! and Twice!!!!! The Cowboys may have owned the Skins, but Moss owns Roy Williams and Aaron Glenn now!

Thats funny cause I was standing too, and most of us were having the same reactions at the same time all across the nation. |

No, but it probably wouldn've mattered. I didn't go into full on sobbing or anything, but watching Gibbs grab portis by his ears and hug his grandson got me misty. If it wouldve happened at a bar so be it. I'm 6'1" 268, & bald. |

I balled like a teething baby with colic!!!!

Re: How many got teary eyed??
i was in a bar jumping up and down like a school girl. then i had to leave the room for a moment just to be by myself. no tears, but almost

Re: How many got teary eyed??
I wasn't in tears, but damn near close to it. My buddies and I were high fiving and bear hugging each other so much that my hands were all sore and I think I nearly dislocated my shoulder, lol.
It's funny because on the one hand I was like I want to keep celebrating here at my buddy's house in his home theater room with all them beers...but on the other hand I was like damn, I gotta get home (30 minutes away) fast and check out the Warpath! Sigh...I love you guys :grouphug: |

:embarrass Oh, good.......it wasn't just me then. I couldn't wait to get back from the bar cos I was the only Redskins in there. Being happy around 10 or so severly depressed Cow-Whore fans was cool and all but I really needed to be with my boys on Warpath. |
Re: How many got teary eyed??
Like I said I was still pissed.
I have to admit it. I am such a diehard Skins fan and was looking for a way to win but was so pissed at the way we were playing that when we did what I hoped.....I was still pissed. It was not until the next morning that I got happy about an ugly win. Another thing that took some fun out of the win was no DalASS friends/fans were talking poo before the game. Although many picked DalASS no one was talking chit for them. The win was HUGE. period So no I did not cry. If we would have lost I was about to make That Guy cry. lol ~joking He was a great and always welcome guest at any Skins game. peace |

LOL. Yeah I read that and couldn't help but laugh. They were really trying to start sh*t with you. You handled it well This was over on cowboysboard.com for those that are wondering |
Re: How many got teary eyed??
not exactly tears but wierd wierd emotions mostly after seeing gibbs so happy, after the touchdowns i didn't exactly yell, i started to wisper and laughing like a crazy man
|
Re: How many got teary eyed??
A few Redskins fans and I jumped around in a circle for just about a 2 minutes. There were Cowboys fans surrounding us in the Sports Bar watching in disbelief. When we finally stopped it was applause from people who were neither Redskins nor Dallas fans. People stopped playing billiards, the bartenders stopped serving and we ran out of the bar giving people high-fives and talking a lot of shit. Man, I haven't felt this good in a long time. And yes, tears did well up in my eyes, because I did envision us winning this game. It was the right time with the right people.
Now when I go to the Sports Bar on Sunday. I'm not going to say one word about the game. Just enjoy the festivities around the league. |
Re: How many got teary eyed??
I was at the game in Dallas....Talk about awesome, hearing smack all game long and then, they had nothing to say at the end. I was there with a couple of buddies, one a cowboys fan, and leaned over to him after the first TD and said can you imagine how quiet it will be if the skins win, he said yeah right. All of one minute later.....DEAD SILENCE except for the skins fans in attendance who were all going nuts...
All I have to say is ..... 14-13 bitches.....SCOREBOARD!!!!!! |
Re: How many got teary eyed??
Thats awesome yellow. I was at the game in dallas last year where they threw the bomb to beat us in the last second, so I know how they are feeling and Im glad they feel that way! Pay backs a bitch.

Re: How many got teary eyed??
My cable went out due to a storm. Good thing for ESPN Radio giving me updates. I did scream when I heard we went up and also when we won. I am sure I would of got teary eyed if I had watched it live. I could not sleep worth S**t due to thinking what I missed. I mean come on it is not every day that we beat Dallas

I think i saw 2 as coverage sacks just from the tv and the time brunell had (6+ seconds)... I'm sure he'd have a better idea though. |

you know, i find it hard to believe that Patten and Moss don't get separation either (Gardner and hobbled Coles i can believe). it's a lot easier to believe that Brunell has the Fear of Gibbs in him to not throw risky passes (we all know who didn't) and won't throw a long pass unless the corner fell down. how much separation does he need and how comfortable is he throwing in tight spaces? the two times he did take that chance (cuz he absolutely had to) lo and behold. i mean technically, Moss was double-covered both times. and uh, to get back to topic, i almost got something in my eye for Gibbs but my girl was watchin. you know how that is.... |
Re: How many got teary eyed??
I didn't get misty but watching us win that game and thinking about how good it must have felt for all of us who stayed awake to watch (didn't give up) was a real joyous moment. The very first thing I thought about was; we've gotten off to a great start and hopefully we'll be playing some real meaningful games in December.
