Who Will Win Game 4
Skins
Or Denver |
Re: Who Will Win Game 4
gonna be an extremely close game again. but portis gonna have a big big game and gonna be the difference. final score 24-17 skins
|
Re: Who Will Win Game 4
It's going to be a tough game for sure! If the Redskins can keep the scoring low and keep the offense clicking like it was doing Sunday, we have a shot.
|
Re: Who Will Win Game 4
We shut down the #2 Offense in the NFL in Week 4. Im not sure where the Broncos stack up, but I know that they aren't in the #1 spot. The 3-1 Broncos are an average team with about the same variables as the Seahawks. They have very good runability and have a few of receivers that you have heard of. As long as we don't advertise our plays (as in, whichever way Cooley goes in motion, the run followed him) we should have a better than average shot. I think our Defense steps up and gets more than 1 turnover and hopefully a TD. As long as we minimize our own turnovers and limit mistakes we can play with any team! 21-14 Washington. GO SKINS.
|
Re: Who Will Win Game 4
If we win, its going to be low scoring and ugly, like 17-14. This is going to be a hard game for us.
|
Re: Who Will Win Game 4
their run defense is elite. we are gonna have trouble there but jake the snake might throw up a pick
|
Re: Who Will Win Game 4
This is definitely going to be our toughest game of the year so far. We have to force some Jake Plummer interceptions, which is very possible. That is our only shot at winning. I still think we're going to lose though.
|
Re: Who Will Win Game 4
If we stay close in this game I will be happy. Denver is known for their running game but we are known for our ability to stop the run. The problem is their defense is going to probably shut down our offense while we will probably only slow down their offense. 20-10 denver
|
Re: Who Will Win Game 4
If the Skins can go on the road and beat Denver I think it will really raise some eyebrows.
I think they can do it. The key will be to take away their running game and make Plummer win the game. Offensively, we need to get Portis chugging again. And we need the same efficient play out of Brunell and co. I don't think it's too crazy to think we can go on the road and pull this out, I'm predicting another close game, Skins 20 Denver 16. |
Re: Who Will Win Game 4
The good thing is, Denver has basically no running game. Anderson hasn't been doing anything. Is Dayne going to be back?
|
Re: Who Will Win Game 4
I think if we can stop the run and make Plummer beat us with average wideouts we have a very good chance to win. Must keep the defense off the field in the high altitude to have a chance. Skins 24 Broncos 21.

Re: Who Will Win Game 4
the skins are battle tested,

we can win when we are down
we can win when we are supposed to
we can win in overtime,
we can win with inclement weather (dallas heat)
we can beat teams with elite players (Alexander)
and we can win in the most hostile of enviroments (Dallas)
so that is the 2005 redskins so far, can we win yes, will we win, not sure. I say Redskins 13, Donkeys 10 |
Re: Who Will Win Game 4
The key, I think, will be mistake free football. No dumb penalties and no turnovers.
If you think about it, Seattle played a near perfect game. No turnovers and only a few penalties - one of which cost them the game! (the pass interference on 3rd and 10 that gave us the ball at the 4 and that, in turn, led to a Skins score). The Skins had TWO penalties for 10 yards. Seattle had 8 for 84 (take away the interference call and it is 7 for 55). There were no fumbles by either team and only one interception. Seattle is a good team, they played a near perfect game, and we beat them by not beating ourselves. If the Skins can duplicate that effort against the Broncos - they WILL win, even if the Broncos, like Seattle, play near perfect football. Think about it, when was the last time you saw a game, any game, with as few mistakes by both teams? 10 total penalties for 94 yards and one interception? I can't remember the last one like that. Denver is a good team and we are playing in a tough place BUT, if we don't kill ourselves, this team is more than good enough to beat them. |
Re: Who Will Win Game 4
isnt this the same team with all the cleveland brown rejects?when is the last time denver played the steelers?that is about the only defense in the afc that is comparable to ours.with an overrated champ bailey out, moss and patten might be in for huge games.skins 24-denver 13

Re: Who Will Win Game 4
so chump is out for sure?
i thought i really wanted to play against him and have santana break a big one but i really hope that he is out, with him out i think we can pass. The thing is our run wil be shut out, somewhat like what it was in Dallas. The crowd was in it the entire game in Dallas and the same will be here too. There is an overrated son of a bitch as a safty on both of the teams too. We will shut out denvers run game, they might pass on us but their receivers are not too good. I will have to break down more stuff before a prediction but i think if chump is out we will be able to pass on them just a little. |
Re: Who Will Win Game 4
right now their saying he wants to play but doesnt have medical clearance to ply

You know, I thought the exact same thing. Then I was watching sportscenter the other day and was shocked to see they are averaging 144 yards a game right now; I was pissed. I still think we can shut down the run and force Plummer to beat us. This is going too be a tough tough test, but last time we went into Denver we won behind Kent Graham, so we'll se what happens this weekend. |

The do have the third "best" rushing attack in the league: http://www.nfl.com/stats/teamsort/NFL/OFF-RUSHING/2005/regular?sort_col_1=7 I'm not sure highest total yards = best, but I'm not sure I understand why everyone says they have no game. Plus, Anderson put up 115 against the Jags (granted - they give up more yards than pretty much anyone else). |
Re: Who Will Win Game 4
Anderson/Bell/Dayne have been getting the job done just fine.
|
Re: Who Will Win Game 4
I think the running game will struggle. Denver is giving up less the 80 yds per game. I think if we do the little dump off passes we can open up the passing game deep later on in the game. them little dump offs are pretty much like a run anyway. Champ will probably not play so thats a plus I think will will win by 4. seeing how we like the number 17. Skins 17 Broncos 13.
|
Re: Who Will Win Game 4
skins win 35-14.
|
Re: Who Will Win Game 4
WOW, That would be awsome, do the skins know we can score over 20 points in a game? LOL just kidding. I know we are capable, if we dont end up fighting ourselves plus Denver, I predict we will romp them too.
|
Re: Who Will Win Game 4
I fill this game will be very important if we can get Arrington more involved. The reason I say this is that we could win if we can get a good blitz on Plummer, we'll win. With Arrington's speed and pass Rush ability he could disrupt Plummer totaly like the Atlanta preseason game a year ago when he destroyed Vick.
|
Re: Who Will Win Game 4
Based on mathmatical progression, the score will be 27-19, Redskins.
|
Re: Who Will Win Game 4
Broncos 21 - Redskins 10
We are a mirage my friends. We will still finish with an 8-8 record (at best). |
Re: Who Will Win Game 4
I think you're all missing this seasons salient point: Will we be wearing white jerseys. If we wear white, we win. Simple.
21-13 Skins |

Whatever man. I know I am not the only one that feels this way. |
Re: Who Will Win Game 4
broncos are overrated, plummer is crap as a QB, they beat the chiefs defense, who had 2 good games and the media loved them. their defense sucks. wait till plummer faces us, and mike anderson? not scared of him at all. we should win this game

With that being said, Denver is tough as hell in Mile High. I don't care if they line up a bunch of high-schoolers, there is something special about that place. |
Re: Who Will Win Game 4
Skins 24
Broncos 17 Moss has a big day, and Portis runs for 125 yds and a TD. |
Re: Who Will Win Game 4
I really don't think Denver will score that much. Skins 17/13 to Broncos 7.
|
Re: Who Will Win Game 4
Broncos 15, Redskins 12
Elam hits a 45 yarder in the last 10 seconds to win it. Defensive battle, as neither team can get it going. Brunell and Plummer both throw 2 picks, and Anderson and Portis stuggle to get 80 yards. Novak misses a long FG early in the game. Just glad this 4:15 game comes when there's a holiday the next day, so I can get ripped and not worry having to get up for work. |
Re: Who Will Win Game 4
OF COURSE WE WILL WIN......14-10, I DONT THINK DENVER IS ALL THAT.
When we do beat Denver all the skin bashing will finally end and the bandwagon will start to load up. Ladies and Gents , tis the season we Return to dominance. you heard it here...(like you all dont know this) |

Re: Who Will Win Game 4
A proposed offensive game plan
Start out with some play-action passes just to set the Broncos back on their toes in the 1st quarter. Make sure to hit receivers other than Moss and the TEs, especially since Champ vs. Santana represents a problem. In the 2nd and 3rd quarters, grind it out on the ground with runs and a few passes to keep 'em honest. In the 4th, when their biting on the run, throw a long pass to Moss or Patten as the back-breaker. |

Just a figure of speech man. Chill out. I, and the rest of the media, think we are a team that might finish slightly above .500. Just because I pick us to lose doesn't mean I am not a fan. I just know reality when I see it. We were 72% on 3rd downs last week. Won't happen again. Denver has shut down some elite RB's so far including LT.....and held ole Jacksonville to 11 yards rushing. I don't see much to be too positive about so I thought that we might lose this game my friend. |
