Who's this ass clown?

Apparently we struggle from some strange combination of horrible quarterback, inept head coach and a "dink & dunk" offense... W's are useless to this jackass. |
Re: Who's this ass clown?
well he didn't just single out the redskins, he pointed out a bunch of other teams. and since when has our offense been known as west coast? this is nothing more than some guy's opinion. lucky for him he gets paid to say it.

Re: Who's this ass clown?
Where are the bombs? I guess he fell asleep before the end of the Redskins-Cowboys Monday nighter!

Re: Who's this ass clown?
I don't agree with the "clueless head coach" part of it, but despite being excited about the 3-1 start, I do think our offense is a big time snore fest.
Think of it this way - if I was a neutral NFL observer who dropped out of the sky (albeit with a Sunday NFL ticket Direct TV account) at the beginning of this season, watching the skins play wouldn't really be an exciting proposition. Why is Marty-ball so maligned? His offense is actually scoring 40 points every once in a while, while ours is struggling to cross 20. Gibbs ball is way more boring. As long as we're winning, I can live with it though. |
Re: Who's this ass clown?
Scoring points is a valid issue, but moving the ball is not.
Hey jagoff the offense is ranked #8 in the league in total yards thank you. |
Re: Who's this ass clown?
all i'm askin' is for allittle respect
3-1 sock it to me |
Re: Who's this ass clown?
we don't need respect or media credit. we need a win sunday in KC. I think we can do it!!! F the critics, IN GIBBS WE TRUST!!!

Where is Jimmy Rae you ask and his so called Marty ball, ironcially in Oakland with Norv. Next to Jow Walton the worse o-cordinator has to be Jimmy Rae. |
Re: Who's this ass clown?
I don't know what snorefest you are talking about because I am continually on my seat as we are converting 3rd and 8, 3rd and 10, etc.... If you do fall a sleep you will miss some of the solid drives and big plays that the skins are putting together. We would be around, or over twenty in every game without some bizarre crap, penalties, blocked FG's. We have gotten in the endzone or had points taken away in every game several TD's. I don't know what happens to the team in the red zone with these crazy flops some have been some really bad peanlties/calls. Definitely not a snore fest, I would say shitty red zone

[/QUOTE] What? Yes, we haven't been scoring 30 points per game yet, but it's not like we've been going 3 and out in the majority of our drives. I think it's been quite exciting for us...we just have to improve in the Red Zone. |
Re: Who's this ass clown?
It's funny, really... whenever I read one of the CNNSI analysts' work, I feel like I'm reading something that my next door neighbor wrote. Don't get me wrong, my neighbor is a smart guy and I like talking football with him. But he's no different than me - he's not an expert. He just has an opinion. CNNSI has absolutely no football credibility with me, anyway.

Re: Who's this ass clown?
the only reason this guy has a column is because he knows html and is able to put it onto the web.
it's a shame that he's called Brunell crappy (not the best out there, but not crappy ala David Carr), Gibbs an air head (3 SB Victories, where are his?) and our offense West Coast (since when does Gibbs run West Coast?). locker room motivation...put it on the board, yes! |
Re: Who's this ass clown?
When he calls Gibbs clueless and calls Brunell crappy says he's the ass with a pen. Now if he would have said last year in game 8 that Gibbs was cluless and Brunell was crappy I may have agreed but Gibbs stuck with his feelings about Brunell and ended up being correct. I remember at the end of last year when Gibbs was talking about how good Brunell was and I thought he was off his rocker but Gibbs and Brunell are proven alot of people wrong. I for one.

it's got to be crack, it's got to be.:boxing: :Flush: :smashfrea take your pick.what a waste of ink and time.you know what?, i just don't care anymore, i don't want nor need the praises and respect of these so called experts. we know whats going on here, we can feel the pulse of this team we are getting better. so , to the others.take a flying leap.we don't need you around anyhow.

That's my point - we watch every skins possession with bated breath only because we're emotionally invested in the skins. A neutral fan of the game would not consider our offense exciting - despite the fact that we have exciting individual players like Portis and Moss. That's said, this could all change over the course of the season, and we could join the list of exciting offenses like the colts, giants, eagles, chiefs, chargers, seahawks, rams (until lately), and some of these teams could drop out from the list. |

How about those exciting Rams & Vikings O. Its better to be thought a fool than to speek and remove a doubt. They should remind these writers of this. |

they'd tell you a fool with a paycheck is better than a possible fool that's broke. |
Re: Who's this ass clown?
this dude obviously hasn't a clue on what the SKINS mentality is. Pound you until you give in. Now back in the hayday we offered a little more deep balls, but our running game is no where close to what it use to be. Until we can make people respect our ability to hit you deep, our running game is going to struggle some what. Once they start respecting the deep threat, Portis will start breaking off those 150 yard games we are use to seeing from him. Also, look for Patten to have a big day this week, I just feel they are not going to let Moss get deep, and may lose focus on our other deep ball threats. You say a little of that last week, on the bogus pass interference call in the endzone against Patten.
|
Re: Who's this ass clown?
My guess is that he has not actually watched any Skins games, probably with the exception of the first half of the Dallas game, so he's basing his assertions primarily off of last year's performance. Don't we, after only 4 games, have close to as many, if not more long passes this year than all of last year? Yeah, the scoring hasn't been what we'd like, but if the offense keeps doing what they're doing, it will...my bet is it begins this week against a weak KC defense.

Re: Who's this ass clown?
Another example of a moron journalist. I'd be ok if he didn't work for the foremost sports journalism magzine in the country. They're suppose to know something about sports and this guy obviously does not. If he had seen us play this year he'd know we don't have a "dink and dunk" offense, our QB play has been at least OK, and jesus man Gibbs has 3 SBs so he can't be "clueless". Just another media lemming throwing in on an issue he has no idea what the hell he is talking about. And all the crap about being "just a fan"? Well buddy I am "just a fan" and I don't get to write for SI. Writing for SI makes you something different than a "fan". It makes you a journalist who has at least a modicum of responsibility to write with you know like COMPETENCY on whatever it is you are writing about.

Re: Who's this ass clown?
I was born in 88 so I don't know the answer to this but I'm just wondering.....was our offense under Gibbs 1 awesome and called one of the greater ones? Or were the games like they are now? (meaning close)
|
Re: Who's this ass clown?
yeah i was born back then too. I wish i could have seen the glory days, you old folks should consider yourselves lucky. C'mon gibbs win one for the millenium generation
