Wow what propaganda

http://www.redskins.com/news/newsDetail.jsp?id=11294

I mean I've read 3 posts on here about contraversial issues. All three (obviously) took the side of the skins. But furthermore this douchebag goes on to call anyone that questions a skins move, to be gay morons. Usually I enjoy disagreeing with a fan, because at the end of the day, we're still fans, but I'd really like to kick this pretentious ass in his throat. I know he's on his High-horse with a little bit of dribble on his chin because he gets to interview coaches and go to games for free in press boxes. (insert a clip of Sam Kinneson singing "Sucking Satan's Pecker"), but I ask you... why alienate fans by insulting them on a public forum because their opinion differs?? The whole man-crush, and I call it how it is crap is really arrogant and annoying. Why in the hell did the redskins decide to give this guy a bigger forum?

I didn't see in his article that he was calling anyone names. I do see that he not only has a better grasp of the situation but he also has something else...

An education.

I can't see what he said that was so offensive to you that you had to go and get your "foul mouth" panties in a bunch.

1st of all...Forgive me if the cursing offended you. I'll go back and edit that.. that's not my intention, I'm just the kind of guy who gets a little fired up and I don't think before I express.:embarrass

Let me explain the implication. He states there are two types of fans. "those with the world is flat conspiracy theorists with man crushes on lavar arrington", and those who agree with him. I'm a guy who doesn't think its that far-fetched that LA is being benched based on something other than his inability to perform. So therefore I'm a moron and a fag. It's a rediculous implication, and what drives me crazy, is that its the third time I've seen him post on Redskins.com where he compiles people into 2 groups; those who agree with everything he says... and some other morons.

Its that implication thats in his posts, and if you took that and all of the gloating about his access to the skins, you'd have a BS introduction and absolutely no substance.

Oh... and by the way....Thongs dont bunch.

Re: Wow what propaganda

i am not exactly offended but really tuna is right, that is the Redskins.com, it is for ALL the fans, moreso than any fansite. I could handle this type of division in the post, espn, si or other such media outlets but I see no reason why on redskins.com the fan base should be divided by right and wrong, true fans and idiots.

Also i just don't like putting down a "true redskins", a "core guy", like lavar arrington on Redskins.com. I couldn't care less honestly if everyone here started to talk trash about any skin player because i can put in my opinion but that is redskins.com, that is visited by many people and it is embarrassing to put down a player that has done nothing wrong, lavar has been singled out enough. There are 53 people on that roster and 22 starters, but lavar is getting a hell of a lot of attention compared to those other 31 people on that bench and he doesn't need to be put down on REdskins.com
-----------------
this paragraph is mostly what i think tuna and i don't like

"As you can imagine, there is quite an extreme division among fans on this issue. On one side you have "the-world-is-flat" types certain the lack of playing time for Arrington has something to do with contract grievances, vendettas, mythical personnel packages, dishonest intent, malevolent owners and just about anything else, while denying any objective statement from anyone involved in the situation who may dare suggest LaVar isn't playing because LaVar isn't ready. "

i don't believe that there is a "conspiracy" but just because i don't doens't mean Redskins.com should be putting down the fans that do.
-------------------------
this is what pissed me off

Almost as if he looked on his wrist band for assistance, Arrington was quoted in Thursday's Washington Times as saying, "There are so many different things that I've heard, I don't know which one to pinpoint. Somebody knows the truth. I don't happen to be that [someone] and I don't know for sure what I suspect." Ahh, so, it's not really that no one was telling him why he wasn't playing. It was that everyone was and he didn't happen to like what he was being told, so he suspects something else is really at play. Another flat-earther.

I didn't even read the article, I'm too damn tired!! But for the record, my record, which means nothing in the court of law:), this type of thing should never be mentioned on a public Redskins website.

To me it's like airing family business to the public.

Tell me about it! Seems like every new thread is about LaVar. We might have to start a new forum just for him.

Meanwhile, Marcus Washington is quietly having another kick-ass season, establishing himself as one of the league's best. Why not 53 threads about him...don't get any ideas!

While I agree with the the article almost in whole I think this is exactly where the Skins show the 'real' reason they gobbled up extreme. To air one side of a two side debate is totally stupid.

Re: Wow what propaganda

i'm going with canthetuna and bigskinbauer on this. Art has a voice now, he can use it to write articles that are published on the skins website, but he can't use that voice to divide legions of fans. one thing we can all agree on, is that we all love the redskins, but you can't divide them in one article and make fun of the side that doesn't agree with you.

Re: Wow what propaganda

So, it's time for the Chiefs. Some of you liked the Dallas blog, so, I give you THIS blog too.

-- Friday, Oct. 14, 3 p.m. -- Hit the Redskins mobile with the wife, baby, in-laws and two books on tape and head south on 35 to Kansas City.

-- Friday, Oct 14, 11:30 p.m. -- After dropping in-laws off at the great grand parents, we hit the hotel. I ask the best place to smoke cigars with "my boys". Am told no smoking inside businesses in Overland Park. I said, "Uh, but, my boys are, um, like Sonny Jurgenson." That didn't seem to work. Kansas SUCKS.

-- Saturday, Oct. 15, 9 a.m. -- Attempt to log on to start my blog. But, it costs $10 for three hours of connection as it's charged by the 24-hour-block. Figure I'll wait until noon and hate Kansas even more.

-- Saturday, Oct. 15, 11 a.m. -- IHOP with the family. A Chiefs fan -- a woman -- has the nerve to say, "Boo Redskins," to me. Obviously she has no idea who I am. I'm the guy much bigger than her.

--Saturday, Oct. 15, 6 p.m. -- Hit the team hotel. Security set up in the lobby. Limos waiting. Elevators saved. The team is close. Good call. I call TK and taunt him that I'm going to see the procession. He's just landed and is in the rental. Sucker.

-- Saturday, Oct. 15, 6:05 p.m. -- Sitting in the lounge, one Dan Snyder walks through looking for the score of the game. Notre Dame game. I try to tell him, but, as wealthy men everywhere, he sweeps in and out quickly.

-- Saturday, Oct. 15, 6:10 p.m. -- Procession of players starts. High number -- couple dozen -- or so of fans getting autographs. Am approached by a couple asking if I'm with the team. Neither is a hot, blonde chick. Both are men. So, I say, "I'm just a groupie the team lets hang around. You know what I mean." The response, "Yeah, man, this is soooooo cool." They were right.

-- Saturday, Oct. 15, 6:15 p.m. -- Larry Michael, Sonny and Sam walking through. Broke the news to Sonny we couldn't hang like brothers in this horrible place that is not like home. Gave Larry a little skin (slapped five). Karl Swanson walks by, says, "Why aren't you watching the Notre Dame game?"

-- Saturday, Oct. 15, 6:16 p.m. -- Watching the Notre Dame game. Guy asks what team is here. I say "The Redskins," though I'm in full gear, so what his problem was I do not know. Older lady with him thought all the players looked so nice. Dressed well. Younger lady in the area shows extreme interest in the Art. I'm now convinced a single man can get laid utilizing one of the following routines:

1. Pretend to be gay.
2. Have a puppy with you.
3. Have a baby with you.
4. Be in team gear in the team hotel and have people think you're, "With the team."

-- Saturday, Oct. 15, 6:17 p.m. -- Watching the USC final drive. James Thrash peeking in from behind.

-- Saturday, Oct. 15, 6:30 p.m. -- Mark Brunell and Patrick Ramsey walk by. I mention to Mark we spoke last week. Blank look. Extremeskins.com. Small smile. Thumbs up.

-- Saturday, Oct. 15, 6:32 p.m. -- Karl Swanson and Larry Michael meet up with me at the bar. We start chatting. Ryan Clark out with a spleen. Keasey is the roster yo-yo, cut again to make room for Dimitri Patterson. Swanson and Larry have to go to a big dinner with Snyder. Limos out front ready to whisk the group away. But, I buy beers for everyone while we wait and watch the players stream in and out. Nice ice on Santana Moss.

-- Saturday, Oct. 15, 6:35 p.m. -- Great story to tell your children. John "Mother" Dunn comes down wearing what can best be described as a shirt ONLY allowed on men who can bench press 400 pounds. Anyone else would get beaten for wearing it. Though, to be fair, it's pretty fly. Ice and fly. This white boy is down. Anyway, Swanson comments about the nice shirt. Dunn says the players got it for him. He says it's got a name. Laughing. "Coochie." Then he shows it's embroidered with the name. Classic funny. So, I say, "You mean to tell me the players got mother, coochie?" Best line of the night.

-- Saturday, Oct. 15 6:50 p.m. -- TK shows up with those long flowing locks. Around same time, my wife shows with my baby girl in Redskins cheerleader outfit and my wife's young cousin. Great timing. Karl takes a phone call, though, I believe he simply wanted no part of meeting the Mills Clan. Larry disappears. I know where we SAID he went, but, can't say here .

-- Saturday, Oct. 15, 7:05 p.m. -- Patrick Ramsey and Mark Brunell wander by again. Ramsey seems amused by baby in Redskins gear. Amused or terrified, can't really tell you. I holler at him to tell his brother Brandon to come on the site more. He seemed reasonably amused.

-- Saturday, Oct. 15, 7:07 p.m. -- Sonny comes down and wants to know if there's anywhere good to smoke. I take him through the pool area to an outside patio. He seems unenthused.

-- Saturday, Oct. 15, 7:10 p.m. -- Snyder comes down with the crew. Notices the baby and says, "That's a real Redskin fan there." I tell him she's from ExtremeSkins. It's an Extreme Baby.

-- Saturday, Oct. 15, 7:15 p.m. -- Crowd and stream of players thinning some. Wife takes baby over to great grand parents. TK and I taking in the sights and sounds.

-- Saturday, Oct. 15, 7:20 p.m. -- Gregg Williams coming through. I go up to him to introduce myself. "Hello, Coach Williams. We just wanted to thank you for the interview you did with me on Extremeskins." He shook my hand, even pulled me a little closer and said, "Yeah, Art." I didn't want to get in his way, and wished him luck, but, I could tell he would probably have spent a few minutes with me. He and Gibbs really have shown the know and appreciate the site.

-- Saturday, Oct. 15, 7:35 p.m. -- Ladell Betts and contingent of family and friends hanging out directly behind us in the lounge. Two gentlemen walking down the hall. One wearing #46. As they near me I say, "Ladell's right back here." They say, "Yeah, how'd you know we were looking for him." Just thought this was funny.

-- Saturday, Oct. 15, 8:10 p.m. -- Crowd getting a bit unruly causing more security to be all over us to keep us back. I'm not even getting autographs or doing anything but saying hello to the players ES has spoken to. The hotel guy goes, "Yeah, Extremeskins, we know. You're cool." Yes. Yes we are.

-- Saturday, Oct. 15, 8:15 p.m. -- Joe Bugel rolling through to go to meetings. I tell him we're going to do a chat with him soon. He smiles, but doesn't know who we are yet I don't think .

-- Saturday, Oct. 15, 8:30 p.m. -- Lavar coming through the lobby to meetings. He was with Jansen and the offensive line. No sacking allowed. No time for autographs.

-- Saturday, Oct. 15, 8:45 p.m. -- Three of the fans near us always asking us who people are. Four blonde girls are walking around. I tell them, "Hey, now that's an autograph. Redskins Cheerleaders." One asks, "You serious?" I say, "Nah, not really." But, only one hears me say they aren't. The other two come up and say, "They cheerleaders?" I say, "Yep. You should go to the bar and ask for their autographs."

-- Saturday, Oct. 15, 8:50 p.m. -- "Man, that's not cool." First thing I hear. Apparently the blondes didn't like the pick up effort and were not amused. I say, "That's pretty funny stuff." TK enjoys their discomfort.

-- Saturday, Oct. 15, 9 p.m -- Head over to the great grand parents to drop off baby stuff and do some family time, thinking everything is dead now.

-- Saturday, Oct. 15, 10 p.m. -- Back at the hotel. Meetings are getting out. Looking for TK, I give him a call. Right after I left, he and some of the employees with the team comandeered a limo and went to a BBQ place. Now I'm the sucker.

^ Art's blog from Kansas City ^. Lucky bastard. He came off sounding arrogant to me though, i felt like it's nice and all that he's sharing it with us, but why does he have to rub it in our faces because he gets to go everywhere with the team.
