FEDEX Crowd Noise Sunday Night (Merged Thread)
I was at the game and it was so loud and everyone was jumping up and down trying to make a difference. Anyone in tv land notice??? How'd it translate?
|
Re: Let's give it up to the 12th man!!!
At one point, you could VERY clearly hear "Eagles Suck!" on TV. The announcers made no mention of it, of course, but my brother was laughing his ass off...

Yeah, that happened several times. ;) It was great! |
Re: Let's give it up to the 12th man!!!
The 12th man has been amazing all year.
FedEx is finally a true home field advantage. |

Re: Let's give it up to the 12th man!!!
Did you punch an Eagles fan in the face?
Speaking of which, anyone who went, I'd LOVE to hear some stories about Eagles fans... |
Re: Let's give it up to the 12th man!!!
Few things were sweeter than chanting to all the sorry no account Iggles fans, "Last Place". Also there were a lot of jeers of, "Eagles Suck!"
There were a lot of Iggles fans up in section 420 row 27 where I was at, up in the nose bleed seats, but the game was incredible. FedEx is friggin loud, especially when the Iggles were driving down the field on their last possession. It was a great game, and hopefully this marks the end of all the Iggles fans comming down to our stadium, I hope they all had a long drive back to Philly. I only saw one fight, and it was the Iggles fan that got thrown out, the Skins fan came back to his seat to much applause. I don't know if this post will make much sense really hurting this morning. My only complaint about FedEx is that it was a b@!%h to get out of and consequently I did not get home to well past 2AM. Hail to the Redskins! |
Re: Let's give it up to the 12th man!!!
Yeah, FedEx is the biggest hassle ever to try and get out of.
If you ever read that "Concrete Field" forum of the Eagles, they are the biggest bunch of of jackasses I've ever seen. One of the quotes was: "I bet Art and ______ [both from ES] are jizzing all over Gibbs's face this morning." Wow, that's classy. But in keeping with such a classy theme, I'd have to say that the collective Redskins nation might not have any left after the money shot they gave to Philly last night. |
Re: Let's give it up to the 12th man!!!
it was pretty loud on TV...even louder when my buddy calls from the upper deck, in one of the corners, and I can't understand a damn word he says because our defense was flat out stopping the Eagles at that point...
|
Re: Let's give it up to the 12th man!!!
On several occassions I noticed the crowd raising to its feet, I have been up to the Bears and 49ers game this year and I was at home last night telling my buddy the fans are representing and giving them hell, I knew that shit was loud, place looked packed. I tried to explain to him how much different it is this year the fans have been waiting for this undefeated at home and plenty of reason to cheer 90,000 plus screams and yells again saw the false starts and a couple delay of games way to go fans. Sweet I can't wait I will be at the Raiders game giving them hell also.

FEDEX Crowd Noise Sunday Night
I was at the game last night and it seemed like one of the loudest games I've attended in the five years of having season tickets. I wanted to ask those of you who saw the game on ESPN if crowd sound louder than usual?
Also at least 3 or 4 times during the game the stadium broke out into chants of "T.O. SUCKS!" and one time in particular was after we scored the first TD during the extra point attempt. Did that chant come across on the broadcast? FYI.. A "Philly Sucks" chant echoed the exit ramps as we poured out of the stadium. Watching Philly Fans get harassed after the game was worth the years of hearing their shit. Good times all around. |
Re: FEDEX Crowd Noise Sunday Night
I could hear Philly Sucks over the TV.

No definition, only decibels. :dallas: :dallas: |
Re: FEDEX Crowd Noise Sunday Night
hard to make it out over tv
|
Re: FEDEX Crowd Noise Sunday Night
I was actually suprised at the amount of noise after that 56 yard TD the Eagles had. Perhaps it wasn't cheering, but it sounded like it on TV.

That was cheering you heard from the Philly Fans. I will say that there was a lot less of them than usual though. |
Re: FEDEX Crowd Noise Sunday Night
It ain't RFK, but I think I'll stop calling, "Fed Ex", "Fed Hex" seeing as we're 4-0 at home this year....

Speaking of which, anyone who went, I'd LOVE to hear some stories about Eagles fans...
I only saw one fight - and it was between two Philly fans! They were arguing over what the eagles should do on offense. They started throwing punches and both got thrown out. All the Skins fans were loving it; we were falling over ourselves laughing. The other Philly fans nearby just hung their heads. I had a blast with the Philly fans: - Sang the T.O. song incessantly. Great fun. Fun taunts for which they had nothing to say. Told them: - It was okay that they lost - at least they weren't in last place... Oh wait, YOU ARE!!! - It's okay, just go home and count up your Superbowl trophies. Shouldn't take long! - What's that sound I hear?? The window of opportunity closing??? Well, it's a good thing you won all those Superbowls while you had the chance. On the bus, had some more fun ribbing a Philly fan wearing a Donovan jersey. Our dialogue (which the whole bus heard): ME: Hey, Donovan this is important [I start making choking sounds]. PHILLY FAN: You must have gotten a bad chicken wing [commenting on the choking sounds]. ME: Nope, Just some bad chunky soup. After years of taking crap from these guys, last night was such a relief. All in all, just a hell of a good time. |

I agree. I was like, "DAMN! That's a lot of Eagles fans cheering." |
Re: FEDEX Crowd Noise Sunday Night
Philly gets their ass handed to them a couple of times, they'll find a rock to crawl back under
|
Re: Let's give it up to the 12th man!!!
Also (not mine, but I heard it, loved it and repeated it often):
"You can't spell TOOL without T.O." |
Re: FEDEX Crowd Noise Sunday Night
I was at home and I definately heard the "Philly sucks" chants. It sounded loud as hell.

Welcome to the board |
Re: FEDEX Crowd Noise Sunday Night
At one point after Philly challenged a call it sounded like Philly fans where chanting "replay sucks" and I said something to my buddy about how you could here all the Philly fans. I guess I heard it wrong and it was the skins fans chanting Philly or TO sucks.
|
Re: FEDEX Crowd Noise Sunday Night
The "Eagles Suck" chant was very clear. Good job to all that were there. We need our home to be a nightmare for opposing teams, like the good ole RFK days.
|
Re: FEDEX Crowd Noise Sunday Night
Yeah, I got so pumped hearing EAGLES SUCK.
|
Re: FEDEX Crowd Noise Sunday Night

This is my 2nd year as a season ticket holder and I’m amazed at the difference a year makes at the stadium. I was up in the 422 section and then over in 404 for the 2nd half and was amazed at how rowdy the crowd was. There must have been at least 4 bona fide fights to the point where we had security guards in every aisle. Beer was being thrown, fights were breaking out all over, I even saw a fan grab an Eagles jacket from the back of a seat and throw it over the back wall. I almost felt bad for the Eagles fans there, but was happy to see FedEx starting to creep towards resembling RFK. The walk down the stairwells after the game was out of control also, it was definitely not a friendly environment for the Eagles fans and FedEx is definitely starting to get a little street cred, but I wont be satisfied until after the Dallas game. The “we want Dallas” chants for the past 7 years have been WEAK. We’ll see…

I hope we dont start becoming known as somewhere thats not a "friendly atmosphere". The last thing I want to be on the same level as, is Eagle fan. That being said, we FINALLY have a home feild advantage, people have been crazy ever since Chicago opened the season this year. You could even make the argumetn that the fans won that game. Chicago in FG range, three false starts later, 3rd and 33. |
Re: FEDEX Crowd Noise Sunday Night
I was there...definitely the loudest I have ever heard the building.

I hate the reputation that eagle fans have and would be embarassed if we ended up with the same |
Re: FEDEX Crowd Noise Sunday Night
I totally heard the Eagles suck chant on the TV. And it seemed loud. Hats off to y'all--12th man in the house!
|
Re: FEDEX Crowd Noise Sunday Night
yeah we heard the eagles suck chant on TV. the eagles board was sarcastically saying it was unsportsman like because we always say they are

I want us civilized too but it was so sickening to see all the eagles fans in the parking lots and some were the same assholes...but it was definitely not a friendly atmosphere for eagles fans after the game ..wow ...i have to admit after going to games in philly it felt good!!!! |

You could definitely hear the chants and tell that it was loud in the stadium watching the game on TV. It was great to hear. It also looked like there were a lot less Philly jerseys in the stadium compared to years past. As for our rep, while I definitely don't want Philly's reputation, I'm also sick of visiting fans feeling like they can come into our house and be loud and act like assholes. We can still be accomodating fans, but don't try to come into our stadium and think you have the run of the place. I think that's happened way too often the past few years, especially with divisional games. |

Re: FEDEX Crowd Noise Sunday Night
Guys, I really felt like it was bushleague the way our fans interfered with the Eagles while they were trying to run their offense. The refs should have thrown a flag and put a stop to that mess.....
|
Re: FEDEX Crowd Noise Sunday Night
Yeah i was there it was a fun game (still cant talk) one thing ill say thoue is i think i hate philly fans worse than cowgirl fans man they think they run the show. So i had to wear my F#@k philly shirt i saw quite a few fights start more than any i rember seeing at a game maybe i helped start some ;) but i was just so sick of how the philly fans think fedex was there 2nd house anyway ID BE MAD TO philly fans HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!!!!
|
Re: FEDEX Crowd Noise Sunday Night
I can't believe it but I think I hate Philly even more than Dallas now. Just thinking about those Philly fans driving back home last night thinking "Fed Ex ain't what it used to be" makes me very very happy.
