Highlight Songs

Alright guys, we've reached the halfway point so I'm gonna be making another highlight video like I did last year. I'm really stuck on what song to use. and was just seeing if anyone had any good suggestions. I ussually like songs that are a little bit slower type rock, with some big spots here and there. Any help would be appreciated. The only really good type of song i've come up with is a country one, and while that really appeals to me, I dont know that it would everyone else. So if you have a suggestion, please let me know. I'm HOPING to finsih it before I leave for Tampa on Saturday.

hmm, I would suggest AC/DC - Thunderstruck, or perhaps Hells Bells.

Which song were you thinking of?

Rodeo by Garth Brooks. Its not really a fast paced song, but its basically about a big long battle. The only thing that sucks about country songs is the references to cowboy boots and hats and spurs and shit. Just makes me think of the Cowboys, but I love country music.

Blur the Technicolor - White Zombie

I know I told you over IM, but it's fairly slow with some pump up spots.

Enter Sandman - Metallica....always a crowd pleaser

Re: Highlight Songs

There's a lot of shinedown tunes that would work musically but I'm not sure how well they'd fit lyrically. Do a search for the lyrics for the songs off Us And Them. Fake, Heroes, Save Me and Atmosphere would be great musically.

how about something by ludacris?

Re: Highlight Songs

Looking through my MP3s now. As far as AC/DC, the previously mentioned songs are good. Also check out Can't Hold me Back and Dirty Deeds (although more suited for just D highlights).

If you showed a lot of clips of NFC east coaches, you could play Bitch School by Spinal Tap :laughing-

We had #1 Spot by Luda last year for the defensive highlight video. It was pretty bad ass.

i have a kinda pop punk cover of Holding out for a hero that goes great with football it was funny my buddy was playing NCAA 06 and I started playing it for the final drive when he needed a stop and just as it broke into the chorus his safety caused a fumble to seal the game was hilarious

Please, please, PLEASE use 'Bodies' by Drowning Pool.

Listen to it once, you'll know why. It's made for highlight reel, trust me.

How about the Rocky song? You know the one who was the under dog and no one gave him a chance song. Then he and his old washed up coach surprised the world song.

Re: Highlight Songs

mainstream metal and old school rock tend to work best (megadeth/metallica/disturbed/some ozzy etc and guns&roses, ac/dc, zep etc)

The video is now complete. I still gotta get in touch with Cpayne, but hopefully the video will be up sometime tonight tommarow at the latest. For some reason the file is REALLY big, so I'm not sure whats up with that.

How about "Momma Said Knock You Out" by LL Cool J

"Don't call it a comeback. I've been here for years"...Gibbs and Brunell's motto for 2005

Re: Highlight Songs

I think some Prodigy songs like "Breathe" and "FireStarter" would be awesome for highlight clips and their song of "Smack My B!+ch Up" would be the perfect anthem for a Taylor, Arrington, Griffin and company highlight reel.
