Jimmy Farris back in burgundy!

Glad to see him back. I think he's a real scrapper with potential to be a Tim Dwight type of impact player. Maybe doesn't have the speed, but definitely plays with heart. :thumb:

Farris will make something happen. If not he'll die trying.
I was at the game Sunday and I saw quite a bit of nothing from Jacobs. Seemed to be going thru the motions. And since I've seen him play a whole real game I can now compare him to the like of Albert Connell. Even though I think Connell is insane and I've said that I didn't think Jacobs was, I'd still have to say that Connell attacked the ball better. Sunday proved to me that the guy can run down the field, but nothing much else. You can blame Brunell or the pattern or whatever, but there was 1 play that was a fly that he made NO move towards the ball, no attempt to keep the cb from it nothing and it was by no means uncatchable. Anyway good to have Farris back in uniform and looked forward to him making a difference on Sunday, because I believe he will.

I liked Farris in preseason and wish we hadn't let him go. He made several good catches. I'm glad he's back on the team.

This is something that bothered me about Jacobs after his interview. He said this and I roughly quote: "One of their cornerbacks runs a 4.4 and the other runs a 4.2, what was I supposed to do?"

Yeah. Real killer instinct there.

You guys watch.... if Farris catches a TD and ends up on the highlights package on ESPN, Chris Berman will say "and Jimmy Farris "Buler" catches the TD pass from Brunell"!! Mark my words. That is his new nickname.

Buler...Buler...Buler It kinda has a ring to it like Rudy... Rudy... Rudy... I love that movie!

i think he is talking about you (ha ha)

Re: Jimmy Farris back in burgundy!

He may be talking about me, and that's OK. I predict Farris will be better that Jacobs however.... heck, he is already better than Jacobs. What has Jacobs ever done in the regular season or the preseason but get hurt and make excuses. Farris is like Rudy, just happy to get a chance. I like guys like that!

i agree that farris is already better than taylor jacobs, what a waste of alot of natural ability

Re: Jimmy Farris back in burgundy!

Taylor Jacobs will continue to get his chance for the rest of the season and then will be gone! I would love to see Jimmy Farris step up and become good solid 3rd guy..... By the way we need a new 2nd guy (other than Cooley). Patten is just not the answer, hurt or not hurt.

ok i am serious bring back brown, i have said it a couple times this past week, i want him back.

He visited redskins park today!along with Carl Kearney, Willie Quinnie and Taco Wallace . i want a guy named Taco on the team

Antonio Brown was among four free agent wide receivers who visited with team officials at Redskins Park on Tuesday.
As of Tuesday afternoon, there was no word on whether Brown or wide receivers Carl Kearney, Willie Quinnie and Taco Wallace will be signed to the 53-man roster or added to the practice squad.

Originally signed by the Redskins in November 2004, Brown has shown flashes as a kick return specialist, but he has also at times been careless with the football.

Antonio Brown
Brown, 5-10 and 175 pounds, was released by the Redskins on Sept. 13 after he fumbled a kickoff in the Sept. 11 season opener against the Chicago Bears. In that game, Brown returned two punts for five yards and one kickoff for 16 yards.

After his fumble, he was replaced on kickoff returns by Ladell Betts. The Redskins held on to win 9-7 at FedExField., with Brown's gaffe leading to the Bears' only touchdown.

Last year, Brown played in three games with the Redskins, returning 10 punts for an 8.9-yard return average. He also logged a 66-yard kickoff return in the season finale against Minnesota.

The Redskins are in the market for free agent wide receivers and kick return specialists due to injuries to David Patten and James Thrash.

Patten is on injured reserve after undergoing knee surgery last week and Thrash is expected to miss at least one game with a hamstring injury.

Wallace is a third-year player out of Kansas State who has had brief NFL stints with the Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay Packers. Kearney is a rookie out of Georgia Southern who was with the New York Jets earlier this year. Quinnie is a rookie out of Alabama-Birmingham who was with the San Diego Chargers earlier this year.
